I was hesitant to go with a darker shade because it naturally gives you that orangey look, but Kate reassured me that that wouldn't happen, and she did not disappoint! Thus, I was hoping that a few sessions would give me the perfect glow prior to going on a beach vacation. I didn't need a dark tan, just a little warmth in my skin after months of gloom. I've been to many other tanning salons before and this always works for me. Not at Seattle Sun Tan. On top of not getting any tan, I also feel like I spent an exorbitant amount of money (well above and beyond what I've paid at other places previously). They require you to essentially put a lump sum of money in an account and that money is used toward each tan - and each bed costs a different amount. So you would think ok I'll go for a strong bed to get my money's worth, right? Nope. For each of my (4 or 5?) sessions, I was required to do the basic bed and just barely increase the time of each session. I never made it past the basic level bed before they told me I'd run out of money in my account. As an aside, the dollar amount you put in does not line up well with the cost of each tan so you inevitably leave a few dollars behind or keep adding more and get into an endless loop. The one positive of my experience was the staff, who were consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, due to the quality and price of the service, I would strong recommend seeking other sunless tanning options.

She was so informative about how to do upkeep, she went above and beyond by using an after spray powder to dry the fresh tan, she used a lotion to keep elbows, knees, hands, etc from turning that yucky orange, and overall she was so great to chat with! I had only had one spray tan in the past, and the girl did an awesome job, but I didn't put enough effort into the before and after care to make sure it lasted as long as possible. This time, when I booked with Amy, I made sure to listen closely and take notes on what I needed to do before and after my spray tan. Amy and I had a quick phone call when I reached out about the appointment. I scheduled at least a month in advance, so I can't really speak to how easily you could get in last minute. I had no problems scheduling. Our phone call was super helpful. We went through all of the instructions and she gave me a lot of before care advice that I followed until my appointment. When it was finally appointment day, I went in for my spray tan! Amy was super welcoming and kind. She told me my skin looked good for the spray tan, which was music to my ears, because I had been doing all of her before care suggestions! We talked a bit about which spray tan option I would go for and what shade I wanted to achieve. We ended up deciding on a rapid tan option with a medium shade. I think I left it on for about 4-5 hours... Throughout my appointment, Amy was very respectful and friendly. She gave me product recommendations for body wash and sunscreen, which was super helpful! When the appointment ended, we realized it was raining outside. I didn't have an umbrella, so Amy offered to walk me out to my car with one of her umbrellas! It was one of the nicest things ever. She escorted me to my car and we said our goodbyes. She made it clear that I could reach out to her with any questions or concerns, which was super nice! After 4-5 hours, I took a shower and rinsed off (no soap). When I woke up the next day, I had an absolutely beautiful bronze glow! I truly was amazed by how gorgeous the color was. It got me extra excited for my trip. :) The spray tan lasted throughout the entirety of my trip, although it did fade a bit (which was inevitable because I was in the ocean quite a bit). When we packed up to come home, I still had a little bit of color on my body. I was surprised that it lasted that long! I know that it was due to the advice that Amy gave me for after care. As a tip: she only accepts cash so make sure you have that on hand. Don't worry though, she'll go through all of this with you before your appointment! Overall, I had a 10/10 experience with Amy and Simply Bronzed! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Amy!!!! :)
