We remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago. Unfortunately, our contractor suggested Direct Cabinets. Attached, please find photos of our cabinet doors that are chipping and fine lines are appearing on almost all of our cabinets. I contacted their customer service department with disappointing news! The damage to the cabinets doesn't warrant replacing the items. No one ever came out to look at our cabinets from the manufacture, Fabuwood. They just went by photos I sent via email. I ordered a island table from Direct Cabinets because the contractor of my house got the cabinets from there. I went to other companies that had better looking cabinets and reasonable prices, but they didn't have the style that matched mine. So we went with Direct Cabinets. That was the worst thing I ever did....This company is sooo un-professional. I thought comments on this post where fake, but there all true. I paid over 2k for just a island table, other places gave me cheaper quotes, but I thought Direct Cabinets would have been more professional enough since I was doing a simple order. Everything is unprofessional with this company, their communication with staff and customers is horrible. I had to keep following up with the staff about my order, placing the order, receiving the order, and even getting the counter top installed by the installers, who is not by Direct Cabinets. If you are reading this, you have been warned. Just get ready to deal with the BS from this company. If I ever have to get cabinets again, this is one company I'm avoiding. The craftsmanship of the cabinets are horrible, staples had to be pushed in since they were popping out and I had to fix my own draws since they are not aligned correctly. read more

I've waited almost five months to write this review and I know that because that's how long it took for Direct Cabinet Sales to finish a job that should have taken half as long.  First of all, don't expect good customer service from this company.  They are not very responsive, and you will have to pester them repeatedly for an answer.  When you get a response, you will get different answers from different people because the delivery department does not communicate effectively with the installation department.  So Allen in Installation will tell you the materials are coming on Tuesday and then someone in Delivery will tell you the parts aren't in yet.  Then the delivery will be scheduled for noon and they'll show up two full hours late.  Don't expect your time to be respected by this company. When the pieces do get delivered, they will likely be damaged by their absolutely incompetent delivery people, as mine were.  Then you have to start the whole process over again - reordering parts, rescheduling delivery, rescheduling installation (which has to happen on a different day than delivery) etc.   Several of their employees are rude too - it's as if they're trying to lose clients. If they reply to this review, they will plead excuses such as they can't control traffic (then account for it when you tell me your arrival time - other companies seem to manage this just fine); it's not their fault the delivery people damaged several pieces when they delivered it (but they are all employees of the same company!); they were understaffed because of Covid (when I engaged them in this business, we were already a solid six months into the pandemic - long after businesses had pandemic measures in place); etc.  Save yourself the hassle and headache and go somewhere else.  Surely there are competitors who will be easier to work with. read more

Terrible experience, walked in, guy asked us our budget and when he found out it was about 8K, he wanted nothing to do with us and basically said he wouldn't be able to help us out with that kind of budget....I forgot 8 grand was chump change...If you're looking for quality cabinets with good prices go to Kitchen Surplus in Keyport off rt 35...place is amazing. Wow, after reading the few reviews on Yelp I'm certain that they must be competitors of Direct Cabinet. We moved in a new development that Direct Cabinet supplied all the cabinets for in 2010 and couldn't be happier. Our neighbors that Direct Cabinet supplied their cabinets are also delighted with not only the cabinets, but the efficiency of the company - from Top to Bottom all their employees are great. Our installation went very well. 7 years later we had a flood in our home, the people that the insurance company sent to do the clean up work moved our kitchen island out of our home - during or after the clean up process they Lost several of the parts of our cabinets. The contractor that fixed everything couldn't find the parts, was at a loss what to do other than replace the center island and the base molding around the perimeter cabinets - but he couldn't find the right finish. I called Direct Cabinets, spoke to Allen the owner and he came to the rescue, put us in touch with the manufacturer of the cabinets, who told us that the finish was no longer available. Rang Allen again, he sent us to someone he works with, who is making the parts and finishing them to the finish needed to match. Now tell me, does this sound like someone that doesn't care about his customers or someone that cares enough to not profit but help his previous clients. In the past 7 years we've sent friends that needed new cabinets to Allen at Direct Cabinet and they all are as pleased as we are. Worst customer service ever. Products never arrived on time and cost us $$$$$. Buyer beware

BUYERS BEWARE!!AWFUL EXPERIENCE ! NEVER AGAIN! I was referred to this company by a local builder and ended up hiring them for my kitchen renovation. I dealt with Alexandra (the head designer/coordinator) and Alex (in the appliance department). Both of them were very hard to deal with from day one. Alexandra messed up our order several times, costing us months AND MONTHS of delay. They didn't measure correctly and we ended up with the wrong size cabinetry, they forgot to place orders on several other items., most of the cabinetry were scratched (its now 6 months later and some of the cabinets remain scratched). This was a very high end kitchen project, we spent well over $100,000 in cabinets and appliances and the quality of craftsmanship, customer care , attention to detail was extremely poor. I do not know how this company is still in business. They failed to paint the interior of our cabinets and I had to hire a separate company to come out and spray. After I sent them a bill, , Alexandra's reply was "it's your problem". I had to constantly reach out to her for status updates , half the time she forgot to call me back and the other half she put blame on someone else. Didn't hold any accountability. The 3rd party installers they hired were very unprofessional, sloppy and incompetent. The appliance installer they sent to my house did not install the appliances correctly and damaged my cabinets which till this day remain scratched. The entire experience was dreadful and would NOT recommend to anyone. They are not used to dealing with high end design, and their poor customer service was such a turn off! DO NOT USE THEM! I ordered my cabinets through Direct Cabinet Sales, (first saw them somewhere else). Half of my cabinets arrived without the clips to support the shelves. Direct Cabinet said they would take care of it for me, but after 4 -5 calls to them I still did not receive the shelf clips and could not install the shelves in my cabinets. Each time I called them, their response was "we haven't heard back from the manufacturer yet". So after a month I called the manufacturer directly and they sent them to me. In a nutshell, Direct Cabinet Sales could not be bothered making the phone call to the manufacturer, and I am assuming, after reading the other negative reviews, it's because my cabinet order was fairly small (because my kitchen is fairly small), and they can only be bothered with the big bucks customers. This place is the worst. I don't know how they stay in business. I've been a local contractor for 20 years. I went there 15 years ago and got the run around after buying a kitchen. Recently I was forced to go back because a customer needed to add a few pieces to a 1 year old kitchen, nightmare again. I went at lunchtime and nobody was at the front desk so I walked around for 10 minutes and was ignored by people that had their backs to me on the phones. Went back 2 other times and had the same problem, what a waste of time. Finally the homeowner called and was told the manager was in meetings all day long, what BS. Finally by appointment we were able ti buy the parts, $200 worth of moldings and parts they sold for list price for a total of $550. What a rip-off. If I did not need exact matches I would have bought elsewhere for 60% off list. If feel bad for people that go here. Besides the prices the design of the 1 year old kitchen was a thing from about 10 years ago that the poor homeowners should have been talked out of. On average I buy 3 or 4 kitchens a year and no other contractors including me shop here. I guess some fools are helping the owner pay for his $100,000+ sports car on the side of the building but it's not me or anyone I know. read more
