While the people were very nice and helpful when we were in the store working on the design and making decisions, it became out of site out of mind once we left. My wife and I are planning to remodel our kitchen this summer. We have put in our vacation time at work and since we know our dates and timeline, wanted to be proactive in getting cabinets and countertops ordered and scheduled. We have close friends who just did their kitchen and recommended Cabinets to Go, so we decided to head over and check it out. We did not make an appointment, so when we arrived and had to wait an hour to speak with someone, which we understood. Once it was our turn, Donnette greeted us and was very kind. She was pleasant and made us feel at ease. She walked us through the process of picking cabinets, flooring and a countertop. She created a layout of our kitchen and provided a printed rendering of how it will look. We were very satisfied and went home feeling great. We needed to provide a few additional measurements, but Donnette called us that evening so I could provide them and we spoke about a possible need to choose a new countertop option because, she stated that the choice we made was in fact, much more expensive than she originally thought. She said she would email a new rendering with the final dimensions added, and she did that later that evening. My wife and I were, again, very pleased. A few days later, my wife emailed Donnette to let her know that we would definitely like to move forward with the project and would like to schedule time to pick a new countertop option that fit our budget. After a couple of days with no response, I then emailed requesting confirmation of our previous email. After a few more days with no response, we started trying to call. Upon multiple attempts to call, during the week, and getting no one to answer, we emailed another time, specifically requesting again, to schedule time to pick new countertops and to finalize things and set a date to begin installation. No response, again. After about two more weeks, I tried calling again, this time in the weekend, and was able to get through. I was not able to speak to Donnette, but did explain to the person who answered, my situation and express my frustration with the lack of response, to which I was met with some gaslighting statements masked in trying to "explain". Later that evening, Donnette called me back. She acted a bit confused, at first, but did apologize and say "you are correct" a number of times. Ultimately, however, she too began trying to explain why we never received a response and said it was due to email settings not bringing our email to the top. LOL! Literally had me laughing. I felt disrespected, and like I was being treated as if I were dumb. At that point, I was done, but my wife decided we should give he4 another chance and we made an apoptosis go in the next weekend. Donnette assured me, multiple times, that she was holding noon until 1:00PM for us. When we arrived, she was with customers working on a design. It was exactly noon at this point. We said hello and Donnette greeted us. She assured us she would be with us shortly. Unfortunately, after 25 minutes, it became clear that the customers she was working with had just begun the design process and that our appointment meant nothing. We decided, at that point, that we were done. We left the store, without getting to pick new countertops or finalize anything. We were ready to put our deposit and get things set when we walked in, so we were extremely disappointed. Later that night the emails and calls began. From that day forward, Donnette was relentless. I never responded, but my wife decided to give them another chance. She spoke with Donnette and started working on finalizing things and setting dates, then says that we want to pay a deposit. Unbeknownst to us until this point, Cabinets to Go requires full payment for everything up front. My wife was stunned, so she called me. I was stunned. We have the money to pay, but we do not feel comfortable with being locked into such a large project from start to finish having no proof of any work or adherence to an established timeline. I have worked with many contractors and was once one myself, and no one asks for full payment up front. Max would be 50%, and I would be much more comfortable with 30% or even better, 20% up front and then two or three more installments as work milestones are completed. That, my friends. Was the last we will ever deal with Cabinets to Go. I will forever discourage anyone from paying a contractor in full before having any work completed. Pay a deposit and then pay in at least two more increments as you have proof of work completion and satisfaction. read more

Cabinets too Slow is more like it. Horrible. I've been waiting for 18 weeks for 3 base cabinets. That's right, not 2 or 4 or 8 or 12, not 16. 18 weeks. Eighteen weeks. They got my money day one and they've had my money for 128 days. Today they requested that I sign a new order form and I refused. I've been in business for 45 years and I've never seen anything like this. This is ridiculous. Should I start a class action lawsuit against these fools? We had a great experience working with Sheera, she made herself available and was very patient with us with all the changes we were making along the way. We found the staff to be very helpful and courteous whenever we made a call with a specific question. Don't do it. Went there bc they were recommended. Cabinets arrived a day later then shipping date agreed upon. Delivery driver had an attitude bc I wasn't on the ground floor. Missing and damaged pieces after only opening half of the cabinets. Called the salesperson who's nice enough, but after 3 hours didn't call me back. Manager not in. Called customer care who proceeded to tell me the warehouse is closed until Monday and it's now Friday. They will process and send me the new parts. They don't know how long until I get them. Wasted labor paid because they couldn't put four cabinets together. Now have to reschedule the work and be left with out a kitchen approximately another week before parts arrive. read more

Straight to the point, Mike provided customer service above and beyond what I expected and experienced. He personally drove to my home to carry my flooring (75 boxes @ 40+ lbs each) inside the house on one of the hottest day we had yet and promptly responded to all my questions and requests. The male sales associate who sits at the front of the store wears a neck gaiter that is not pulled over his nose and he actually pulls it down when speaking to customers. Absolutely unacceptable. Getting a new kitchen isn't as simple as you'd think. There are a lot of choices and things that you need to consider, even when you're just renovating what is already there. I worked with 2 different people Jim and Brenden at the Rochelle Park shop. The both were very knowledgeable and helped us throughout the process. My kitchen was installed Thursday and Friday of this past week. I'm waiting for my countertop guy to show up now. The cabinets look great, they were a good value and are really sturdy. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. These guys have no idea what they're doing at that store. I ordered a complete set of cabinets, with the garbage canister insert. When my delivery arrived, the driver told me the canister inserts are on back order for every customer. I called 2 weeks later and was told they were coming in 2 days . A week later, still no delivery. I called again, and finally got the product I paid for, only to find out it didn't fit the size of the cabinet I ordered. 2 other cabinets were delivered in the wrong size and they refused to allow a return. PLEASE Google reviews of this outfit before you purchase. They are reasonably priced , but the worst customer service. read more

while It's hard to judge things during COVID-19...there are supply chain issues, lack of workers, etc. I found our sales person to be great (Donnette Josephs). We have a small kitchen and not unlimited funds. She designed a kitchen we really love. We had to wait a bit between demo and install but I did the demo and the installer worked around the supply chain issues ( installed bottoms while waiting on final top cabinets). We are very pleased. It's true they don't return calls immediately but given everyone in the world decided to remodel during COVID-19...it's understandable. I waited 3 years redo my kitchen. To finally get around to looking and ordering my cabinets. Cabinets To Go was very fast on taking our money. But the people who installed the cabinets messed up all my doors and draws. This was going to be a 2 to 3 week project. They installer left my doors and draws like swiss cheese. Damage to each and every one. I contact Mike right away and she supposable ordered everything. From August 14 to today not all have been replaced. The also installed the wrong cabinet starting at the stove and my cabinets was sticking out of the wall about an inch, and the other side was in 1 inch. That took 3 weeks to fix( shifting of the cabinets) so i can get a counter top. Only the Counter Top installers did the job correctly. Don't call the customer service line. No one knows what there doing. Everyone points the fingers at each other. I had health issued because i had no kitchen for so long. Now Im still bending down to open the bottom pantry door to open the top one. I explain Im a new customer I should not have to wait as if I messed up my cabinets they did. they just told me it could be 120 days. They should have ordered new cabinets and installed the door and draws. That's why companies have insurance. They don't want to offer a discount. I guess customer don't come first. read more

I went to cabinets to go in Mass. Wonderful guy helped showed me cabinets gave me an idea of price. Since I live in NYC I finished with the one in Rochelle Park. What horrible customer service. After having to write to corporate to get someone to call me back then their answering machine is always full. I was told one thing got different cabinets without being told until I saw the guy installing them. I also asked about a top to the cabinets until my countertop were put in. She told me they would leave something there. Another lie. Now everything is paid for because they would not deliver otherwise. I find out they will only come to the Bronx to make a template for countertop Monday to Friday 10-2. Hello most people must work for a living. I said I could be home by 3 since they work till 430, not good enough. Cabinets to go is not helping. I would never recommend this location, hopefully they are all not like this. WARNING - DO NOT USE CABINETS TO GO! Working with Cabinets to Go was one of the worst experiences! My family and I worked through the Rochelle Park store. Jim was initially polite, but when things started going wrong NO ONE in this company wanted to take responsibility for the catastrophe of their services -- missing parts, incompetent installers, rude customer service and unresolved issues. They tell you that they have reliable contractors to install the cabinets, but the first contractor installed the cabinets upside down and unevenly. Nothing was leveled. It took 4 months to semi-resolve the mess that they created. Trying to get issues resolved resulted in the store saying it has nothing to do with them, the contractors saying it has nothing to do with them, and customer service saying that they cannot do anything about it. Cabinets to Go contracts out every single service. They do not know any of the people that they are sending to your home to do any of the work. This gives them the right to then wash their hands of any errors, mishaps, or incompetence. It wasn't until I had payments withheld through my credit card that I received a call from them. Even after the ordeal, there are still issues. The regret is significant. Save yourself heartache and stress. DO NOT USE Cabinets to Go. read more
