I spent over $17,000 on a Fort Knox safe through CE Safe because I expected a premium product backed by premium workmanship and customer service. Instead, I ended up having to document and report a list of problems that should never have occurred with a purchase at this price. The safe arrived with particles trapped in the paint, with additional paint defects visible around the bottom. The fire seal was cracked, which I reported. I was then told by the technician that the cracked seal was "normal" and that nothing could be done about the paint. The interior electrical outlet was also defective. Of the three sockets, one did not work. I was told the safes are tested at the production facility and again when they arrive at the Florida warehouse. If that is actually the case, how does a defective outlet make it through both levels of supposed quality control? Then came the repair. I was told the technician broke the screw securing the outlet and did not have the appropriate drywall screws to properly secure the replacement. I was essentially left with an outlet that I was warned to be careful with so it would not detach. And then there was damage to my home. The safe, weighing over 2,500 pounds, had to be unbolted and moved to access the rear. Afterward, I discovered a large dent in my drywall next to the safe where the technician had been working. So, after spending more than $17,000, I was left dealing with: * Defective paintwork * Foreign particles embedded in the finish * A cracked fire seal * A defective electrical outlet * A questionable/inadequate outlet repair * Damage to my drywall * And, most importantly, a complete lack of meaningful resolution What really demonstrates the level of customer service, however, is the response I received after bringing all of this to their attention. Rather than addressing the individual problems, CE Safe essentially responded that my comments were "noted," that they would be forwarded to Fort Knox, and that they were concerned because I had previously sent "only positive communications." That response is particularly disappointing. Yes, my earlier communications were positive. I was happy with the purchase before I discovered these problems. Being satisfied initially does not somehow invalidate legitimate complaints discovered afterward. A company should be judged by how it handles problems when something goes wrong--not by how happy the customer was before the problems appeared. I did not spend $17,000+ expecting perfection, but I absolutely expected quality control, competent workmanship, proper repairs, protection of my property, and a company willing to take responsibility when legitimate issues arise. Instead, I feel like I paid a premium price for a product and service experience that fell nowhere near a premium standard. The most frustrating part is that I genuinely wanted to be happy with this purchase. I wanted to recommend the company. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot. If this is what "premium" quality and customer service look like, I would strongly recommend prospective customers think twice before spending this kind of money. For me, the price of this safe was not the problem. The problem was paying a premium price and receiving anything but a premium experience.

He did not try to upsell at all. Truly amazing customer service and great knowledge. I would use him again in a heartbeat and if you have any issue with your safe, make sure you call them. After trouble shooting with my safe's customer service, they informed me that my safe was inoperable and I would have to drill it open. So, I called Ariel safe to have them drill my safe open. I spoke with Miki, who instead of simply coming out and charging hundreds of dollars for his expertise and time, did his own trouble shooting with me over the phone. I will spare you details, suffice to say after installing a new battery the problem was solved. Miki didn't have to spend his time helping me but because of his kindness he saved me hundreds of dollars and the hassle of buying a new safe. If Miki is any reflection of the company itself, then you are in "safe" hands!
