    Gyros - my husband's favorite
    Sanita M.

This has been my favorite food court type of Greek place. Great for lunch, located right in Cloverdale Mall Etobicoke. Portions are big (I usually add extra falafel and share the portion with my husband) well priced (about $8-$9) and the food is always fresh and tasty. I used to work close by and we came here often. My husband likes their gyros and rice but my favorite is potatoes. Their gyros seemed to be little bit on the dry side when I last visited, and potatoes tend to be too hard sometimes.

A good spot. Really enjoy the Pitas here. Reasonably priced with access from mall exterior.

    Review Highlights - Mr Souvlaki

Cloverdale Mall seems to have very few decent eating places and based on the reviews, Mr Souvlaki was the highest rated out of all of them.

The grilled octopus appetizer had such complex ingredients and was absolutely delicious. The salad with beets and caramelized gorgonzola, yes more please. I plan to go back and try their sandwiches with homemade bread/naan the guys next to me ordered, they looked amazing too. The service was great too, such nice ladies that really appreciated how much I loved the food.

I ordered the Pumpkin Gnocchi (5/5) and Soppressata Diavola (5/5). Pumpkin Gnocchi was pillowy soft with a creamy yet delicately sweet sauce. It also had a nutty flavour to it from the toasted pine nuts. The short rib was delicious. Highly recommend this dish. Soppressata Diavola had a mild kick to it balanced with flavours of the tomato sauce and herbs. The dough itself was made well with the perfect balance between chewiness and crispiness. I'd order this again. The server we had was welcoming and patient. She was patient and did not make us feel rushed at all. We didnt realize that they were already closed because we were deep in our conversation and there were still a group two tables down from ours (we found out it was the owners). We felt really bad for overstaying but the owner was so sweet and even took the time to have a quick chat with us.

Wow! What a surprising find in this random corner of Toronto…read more I was out for a walk with a friend and decided to check out Leziz for dinner. Thankfully they had dine-in available and we didn't have to do take out in the car. Let's face it... we are all a bit tired of cold take out meals. Upon entering, a woman greeted us, checked our vaccine passports and had us seated promptly. I think it was Selda (the owner)? She was friendly and explained a couple items on the menu we were interested in. We wanted to try the Tarhana soup, and we got a lamb pita and a chicken pita - with hot sauce! The soup was delightful, with layers of flavours, and a unique tangy finish. I couldn't figure out what that was.... but I would absolutely order that again. It was a perfect dish to warm up with. The pitas were huge. LIke... HUGE WIth generous meat potions, the wraps were bursting with flavour. They were quite messy, but most delicious things are right?! During the time we were seated, quite a few people came by to pick up orders. Given the location, they probably don't get a lot of walk-in customers dining in... but they have an excellent take out operation going on. It's really too bad I am not in the area often, but I would make a detour for some Tarhana soup and chicken pita any day! :)

The inside is nice and clean, very spacious with plenty of seat. Servers were good but they can definitely be more trained for sit down restaurant. The walls are covered in pictures featuring artists from Pakistan, architectural landmarks and ofcourse Aftab Iqbal who I have seen on tv when visiting my parents. The menu features staple Pakistani cuisine along with Mediterranean. I was ready to try both, Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the items available on their Mediterranean menu. We tried the Lahori Nashta, halwa puri came with chickpeas (choley), halwa and puri. The combination itself was tasty. The only drawback was that the puri was very oily. The Nihari with naan was my favourite, it was a bit spicy but I couldn't stop eating it. The chai also hit the spot. The service wasn't bad, we received our food quickly the staff was friendly. They do have a great catering menu with great prices which I can't wait to try. Overall, pleased & recommend it.

It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking but the night we were here the parking was full and I had to make multiple rounds to find parking. It's a casual spot with a few tables if you want to dine in. You place your order at the counter then wait for it to be made. I got a chicken shawarma regular plate which came with option of rice, fries, or both. My friend got the dinner which came with garlic potatoes - which honestly looked so good I was tempted to get a side order. Their star are the topics and sauces. They have multiple to choose from. I got the spicy garlic, hummus and hot sauce (mild). You can tell from the photos the food looks bomb. The pricing was fair, the regular was around $12. The serving size is huge, which we love. There can be a wait as this place can get very busy. 10/10 will be back!
