Avoid Elite AC - Extremely Overpriced! I had high hopes for Elite AC, but unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. The prices they charge are absolutely outrageous - they're asking nearly three times the price compared to other companies for the same service and products. I can't believe how overpriced everything is. There's no clear justification for the inflated rates. I get that quality matters, but paying triple for what's essentially the same product or service as the competition is completely unacceptable. On top of that, their customer service wasn't particularly helpful in addressing my concerns about the pricing. wanted to charge 580 $ for some thing cost 250 $.. Less than 5 years and the day has come: The AC Condensor has been replaced as it completely rusted out. 5 Years!! The incorrect installation less than 5 years ago has resulted in leaks in three components (compressor, accumulator and muffler) and the entire unit had rusted loose from the base foundation. This could have been prevented with a $20 sealant that any AC company would apply on a new unit installation. The checkup by ACElite one year after was a joke as the issue was not raised by the mechanic and as per previous review downplayed as a customer problem by their customer service department. I will never ever again purchase anything from AC elite. I guess profit is more important (selling new units) than happy customers? read more

Do not purchase product or services from this company. I purchase a condenser and air handler on 6/1/2019. The condenser stopped cooling. The technician came out quoted $225.00. I asked him to call the manager as this unit is under warranty, he refused said that is the cost. So I proceeded to call their office. The technician went to his truck. I asked the technician to email me the estimate, he refused. I was standing behind the truck in clear view of the technician while on hold with their office staff after requesting to speak with the manager or owner. The technician proceeded to back into me causing bodily injury and drove away. The JSO police Case # is 355402. UPDATE: Please see the owners response below. At no time was I made aware that there would be a charge. Please provide the recording. The Owner acknowledges he would not speak with me he just wants money not a satisfied customer. Why would I pay " $250 to warranty a part" when it has a 10 years warranty? That is just a scam in my opinion. The technician knew he struck me and offered no assistance. The officer agreed that hitting someone and leaving the scene is a crime, which is what occurred. I told the technician to calls JSO but he just ran me over. The officer observed my injuries and is documented. At the beginning of the summer's heat wave I called multiple companies looking to get a check up on my one-year old system. Everyone was booked for weeks and months. I called Elite AC and they had the following day wide open. This should have been a red flag! The guy that came out (TG) was strictly looking for a quick sale of products that as it turned out was not necessary. Determined he lied about several things that he said were needed during his "inspection." He did nothing! He also tried to sneak in a service contract for signing while talking about something different. Stay away! read more

Every year we've had something go wrong with it. this time supposedly the thermostat. the "diagnostic " that he ran was a picture of our air handler and thermostat. told us the thermostat was faulty. wanted to charge us $300 for a $45 thermostat. we declined and went and got a new one. it didn't work, and we called back and they wanted to charge us again and won't be out until the next afternoon. by the way the picture diagnosis was $60. only thing in their favor is that the $60 would be deducted from the cost. read more

We decided to get a new ac system installed in Jan of 2020 before our unit failed in the hot Florida summer heat. After calling seemingly every AC company for an estimate we settled on Elite. We repeatedly asked for a city inspection of the unit and was reassured one had been done. Fast forward to the summer of 2021... we start having issues with our brand new unit. We call several contractors out to figure out what is going on with the unit. They all said it is an issue with the air flow. A combination of the high efficiency, 5 ton air handler elite put in and the existing duct work they used which is too small. They said they way the unit is set up would certainly fail inspection. Upon contacting elite about the problem, they assured us that unit was installed right and provided us with a 2003 permit to 'prove' that it was done correctly. Not sure why they provided us with documentation from 2003 of our unit was installed in 2020. They refused to come out without charging us a service call. We contacted the city inspectors office today and were told that Elite had us sign a document waving our right to an inspection. But the inspector told us that the waiver is only good for units under $3500. The city inspector is scheduled to come out next week. Hopefully, elite will decide to do the right thing and fix the unit before the inspector comes out. If it fails inspection we are told they will have to fix it. Living in Florida it is critical to have a properly running ac. It is sad that these ac companies know this and take advantage of consumers. It is disheartening to find out a company lied to you about an inspection being complete because they knew the unit would fail inspection if conducted. *** they repeatedly posted my 70 year old widowed mother's, who lives alone, address on Facebook before I had to threaten them not to post it again ***Update Partially failed inspection 9/27/21 waiting to hear from elite ***Update Response to the owner: 9/28/21 because your company is a fraud. Run Run Run as fast and far as possible from this company. I thought that I'd take a chance on them based on the previous yelp reviews but, was I ever wrong. Do not respond to any of the coupons from the Mint book that's the bait and I was crazy enough to bite it. We signed up for just a basic HVAC service, I wanted everything ready for winter...It's been over a month and our system has not been the same. They have been out to our home 6 times for the exact same problem??? I mean really guys. Each time they told "your unit is fixed" well within 24 hours the same problems reappear. I've paid them for a " so called blown capacitor" $199 and that was suppose to fix the problem but, here we sit still in the cold and as of yesterday in the heat. Our home is close to 3000 sq ft and using space heaters with freezing temps is just not a way to treat your customers, especially a platinum paying customer. The owner "Gawdie" or whatever his name is, was a complete jerk !!! He never offered any resolution!!! I've never been so appalled by a business owner or his lack of concern for taking care of the customer. We are out of $400 Bucks and still a broken unit ??? Please don't take a chance on them .. Contacted Elite via Yelp Message. They responded within just a few hours--on a Sunday. They were able to schedule an appointment any time in the upcoming week. As promised, the technician called 30 minutes in advance so that I didn't have to wait around the house for him. He arrived as expected, began work immediately, and finished in 30 minutes. Why not 5 stars? Like most everybody else, they schedule in 4 hour increments. With scheduling apps and online maps companies should be able to 2 hour windows. read more

Our house was getting dusty and I like going through the magazines we receive in the mail for local deals. Elite AC offered a Platinum package which I forget included what and how much but I figured it was about time to get our vents cleaned after living in our home for about 7 years. We change our filter monthly, sometimes every two months but that's seldom. They responded pretty quickly on Yelp, but you have to call to get a Technician to come out and provide an estimate. My wife scheduled an appointment for the package we saw in the magazine and they arrived within the date and window agreed upon. They were in and out pretty quickly and recommended other services as mentioned in other reviews. Within a few days the dust bunnies were back. I'm not sure if this was due to the fact that the vents were not cleaned properly or what, but if the vents were done properly, I would probably not make this an annual thing. Also, I would recommend the technicians have their own vacuums as we were asked if they could borrow one of ours as well as not cleaning the debris caused from "cleaning" out the drying vent (see picture), not a big deal since I picked those up pretty quickly with my shop vac. read more

I would give Elite AC LLC zero stars if allowed. They installed a new unit in my elderly parents' home and incorrectly installed the dampers. After many visits and estimates of close to $4000 to fix an 18-month-old unit, they could not or would not fix it. Furthermore, they tried to blame us and the mold remediator - anyone else not to take accountability. The house had category 3 water damage and elevated levels of toxic mold and fungus. This could not be seen until it started seeping through vents, walls, and ceilings. We contacted Carrier, the unit manufacturer, who sent a reputable company to come look at the unit. The cause of the problem was with the installation done by Elite AC. They still refused to fix it. We had to move elderly parents out of the house immediately. The health issues for my mother were catastrophic and she is now on hospice care with major respiratory issues. Multiple HVAC companies all came to the same conclusion that it was improper/sloppy installation. Once the dampers were fixed, the problem was solved. This mistake/sloppy work on Elite AC's part cost my family close to $30.000 and significant health problems. read more

Where do I start? First, their techs were polite. Unfortunately, the hose they use for their "positive negative ionic" air duct cleaning had a tear in it (see photo). The unit was running and I noticed the tear as the tech was blowing pressurized air into the other vents and the other tech was in the van (they do not place the hose on all vents btw, they say they attach the hose to every vent this is not true). Blowing out from all other vents and only sucking from one is also presumably bad for your handler btw, blowing dirt into a vent hoping it reaches the vent that is sucking and doesn't get piled up in your furnace (especially if there is a tear in the hose and it's not getting full suction) is a chance they are willing to take with your unit. I added photos of my handler/duct meet so check that out. Also, the tech placed the "suck" hose "vacuum side" down on my dog's bed while he put up the vent cover. (See photo) This tech wears an arm cover so he can pick up the hose itself, his arm through the hose, and not get the mold (see pic of tear) dirt and dust on his own arm. I do not recommend this company at all. In fact I emailed them and I've also attached that reply in screenshot here. Spend more money with ANYONE else. Might I recommend Precision Carpet (yes they do air duct cleaning) they did a wonderful job on my downstairs unit (Elite can't do wall vents, thank God) Next time I won't go the 89$ route on my own uJust don't do it. ***Update*** they did not clean a thing. almost one year ago8-22 new heat pump system installed. here's what went wrong, billed for new whip, new outside fuse box,, not received , got money back billing dept didn't notice for weeks my payment didn't go thru when they did figure it out they still hadn't pulled my permit! had to make them get Orange County permit if they wanted my payment.. their new thermostat was so inaccurate they put my old one back on. at one year service check, technician found NO heat strip was ever installed , technician came back two days later with strip. read more

Bought a $6000 air conditioner. They said they were replacing the duct work. They changed 2 intakes from the wall to the ceiling. Few months later my wall was wet. Come to find out they did not close off one of the old intakes so it was building up condensation behind the wall. The master bedroom was still not cooling enough and it was starting to get warmer outside. I went to the attic to see if any properties were visible and found a huge gap in the main duct to the master bedroom. All the cool air was flowing out into the attic instead of my bedroom!! Multiple calls were made. They said it would run anywhere from 4k-7k to fix just the ductwork which they had originally said they were replacing at install. They also refused to take responsibility for not covering the the old vent and stopped returning calls and emails. Do not use this company. read more

My neighbor did talk with your company because my English is not great. He mentioned reviews at the end of the very last call because that is what people do when they get bad service. We are NOT happy with your service. I would like to hear the recording!!!!!! The technician told me and my neighbor the AC was at the RIGHT pressure. He did NOT say it was low. No!!!!! It was right!! He only said it could use a cleaning. We said to think about it and get back with your company. You write a FAULSE story! There was NEVER talk about having a nephew fixing any part of the AC. His nephews are not in FL but Michigan and the oldest is 12. He cannot fix AC. Thursday I told him it was not cooling since Monday. He felt the pipes in garage and call the company. The technician said all the refrigerant was gone when he came out. I know the ONLY people to touch the outside unit is YOUR PEOPLE.!!!!! I only ask that if you make a mistake. Please fix it. I was blown away by the level of services we received from this company! Our ac went out last Thursday so we googled to see which company could come out to help us and how fast. We called Elite because of their great reviews. We knew the ac was old so we asked them to send someone to give us an estimate. Mike got to our home promptly and gave us 3 different options. We ended up going with a Carrier since the one we were replacing was 22 years old and knew them to be reliable. John & Omer came out the next day and did an amazing job they worked well together and cleaned up their mess when they finished. Their office staff was very polite and even went as far as to register our warranty and set up our maintenance visit which was received with the new ac. 5-stars all around !! read more

I went with this company as they seemed to have great reviews and a great price per my initial investigation. However, the true evaluation of a company lies in how do they respond when things going wrong. Elite AC Installed our new AC unit backwards. Literally backwards, with the water flowing away from the drainline. This issue only came to light as our home flooded within 2 months of the AC installation by Elite. It was at this point that I sat down and read the installation booklet instructions from the manufacturer as I didnt believe what was happening was just bad luck. And yup. Basic reading failed the company installation team that was paid to be the professionals in this transaction. There's even a huge notice on the front of the unit advising not to do what they did. Elite AC management (in the jacksonville office) and employees (in the Orlando office) at every step of the restoration process (in person and over the phone) confessed to the error being on their installation team. Yet, once we requested them to send a home restoration company out to fix our flooded flooring, walls, baseboards, etc in writing then all the legal language came out from Elite Management. They refused to take accountability in writing like they had previously done over the phone and in person. They refused to send a home restoration company out, refused to replace the soaked AC return vent (which we had to pay another AC company to do, who also asked "why aren't they handling this?"). The only way this issue got resolved was due to me paying for all repairs out of pocket, paid for a 2nd AC company to come out to provide a 2nd professional opinion of the install, me taking many photos and notes every step of the way during the repair process, and filing an insurance claim (fortunately I'm a claims adjuster by trade so i knew to take all the pictures). So I was forced to file a liability claim against their business insurance months later. Once I provided the photos showing the backwards installation the insurer immediately admitted fault and paid for my home repairs. No matter the initial "cost savings," just know you will pay more in time spent, headaches, lies, and even money in the long haul. Hear me now, believe me later. Do yourself a favor and find an AC company you can trust instead of these guys. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would! You do NOT want to do business with Elite Ac under any circumstances. I purchased a new unit from them and have never seen a worse outcome or heard so many reasons as to why I ended up with a wet, falling ceiling. They sent three or four techs here who never saw there was a bump up/hump in the drain line. Have never seen water flow up. The first time they came with a bucket of mastik and a roll of duct tape. The whole mess looked like they were putting a model kit together. They insisted the duct work was leaking but they 100% didn't touch the duct work that is now positioned over the end of attic hatch. Seems to me to put in a new unit you would have to disconnect and reconnect duct. And the duct was never over the hatch. They repositioned the whole unit from previous location. Tell me how water would get in duct unless the drain pan was full of water that couldn't flow up that humped drain pipe. They started saying they would have to charge me a service charge if they didn't find they were at fault. To this day they have not taken responsibility for any wrong doing. So I called another company to fix this botched mess. They also refused to fix my ceiling until I filed a complaint with the BBB. So after nearly 6 months they decided to address the ceiling. I asked if they could match the knockdown and the color. They said they could and when they left I thought it looked pretty good until the next morning when I saw it in natural light without a bright light shining on it. The color does look ok but oh, my the knockdown looks like a blob smoothed over with a trowel. After the botched mess with the AC I should have known better. I am sure they will have colorful comeback as they have all but called me a liar. My only mistake is purchasing from them! My ceiling was not wet or falling before I hired them. I urge anyone who reads this to take heed and don't walk but run as fast as you can from Elite AC. read more

I called this company because I saw their ad in the newsletter. The technician came out to assess what was going on with the a/c because it was freezing. The technician didn't know what was wrong but mentioned that he had to add freon to determine what was wrong with the a/c. He also mentioned that it would last about 6 months. After placing the freon, he said that it could be a leak but never confirmed what was wrong with the a/c but we would be ok with the freon for about 6 months. A week later, I had no a/c and when I called the company, they mentioned that the technician would call me - which he never did. And they charged $329 for freon and never assessing the issue. The company never returned my call, never followed up with my complaint or had the technician follow up with me. Overall, bad customer service and poor service on the technician's part as well. read more

I had a bait and switch experience with this company. I responded to an ad to have my air ducts cleaned. Within 15 minutes of them starting I was notified that it would cost almost $800 to "properly" clean the ducts. So the $159 platinum package was not enough. I'm no expert, but this turned me off immediately as it reminds me of what car dealerships do when all you come for is an oil change and then come at you with pictures and make it sound like the end of the world if you don't get all of this other work done. I'm not sure if anything meaningful was done for the money I spent. The technicians were nice and did not leave a mess but overall was a very sour experience. The ad was very deceiving. Elite AC did a system switch out for me a couple of years ago and did a good job at a reasonable price so I called them when I needed repairs at another location. The first tech said the blower motor was bad so I said replace it. After replacing the motor I had the same problem. I called the tech and they scheduled another appointment. The second tech determined the new blower was not wired properly and he corrected the problem. The system appears to be working at this point. My problem is that I spent two days at the rental property after the original appointment and was charged $550 labor when the motor was under warranty. Had the job been completed the first time it wouldn't sting as much, but I think $550 was way overpriced after I made a few calls. read more
