Tech came out to determine necessary repairs, but repairs to wiring may be complicated. Just learned that the company that installed the gate and the control box does not do repairs to systems older than one year. Now awaiting a quote. The tech appeared young, but professional and patient; he used clever means to try to figure out the issue. (Not sure if AT&T did something to the line.) This location is not inexpensive, but if they can get the (complicated) job done, then it may be worth the price. 5 stars will be provided, depending on job estimate and completion. I'm Back: the estimate was extremely high...in the thousands. I contacted ATT, which sent another tech to check the line. This smart tech simply lifted the line which was sitting in the dirt, found the short, fixed the problem, and didn't charge me a dime. Caveat emptor. read more

Lets be honest. All gate and garage door repair services are a scam to the non-business, residential owner. I have been quoted anywhere from $200 - $4,500 (complete replacement) for a repair that only needed a limit adjustment. I ended up going with these guys who were probably the most honest and considered the lesser scam. All they had to do was adjust the limiter, and then they did some general maintence and decided to replace an old switch as well. Less than an hour of work to someone with a lot of experience with these. $240. read more

Stay away. They mark up parts 400%. A $60 part charged me $285.00. They told me the price after the part was in. I went online and I could buy the part for $92 so I assuming that the part cost Elite, maybe $60 or less. What a hose job. I did not realize how much I was taken until I looked up the part online. The repair took less than 30 minutes and the labor charge was $125.00. It was a microphone board which started giving feedback after we switched from ATT to Spectrum. Instead of trying to reduce the volume on the existing Microphone to see if he could get the feedback under control, he just replaced the Mic board. When the new mic board was installed there was the same feedback noise. For the new board he lowered the volume and the feedback went away. The service person should have tried to reduce the volume on the existing board to see if the feedback went away. Why not try to adjust the volume to see if it would resolve the problem? Then I could make up my own mind whether I wanted the new board or just keep the old one. For another $900 I could have purchased a brand new system. Typical LA high priced services but the part markup is really a scam. Why don't these companies charge a reasonable mark up and not screw the customer??? Do they really think that I will ever do business with them again??? Crazy business strategy. Again. Stay away........................ Price markup on parts is a rip off. read more

What a racket! This company told us $45 for a service call plus $50 per 1/2 hour for repairs. The technician arrived and I told him we needed a new panel only. The tech proceeded to disassemble the motor which was totally unrelated to the problem then do a bunch of unnecessary measurements before telling me he couldn't get the part needed. Then asked for $145. I told him to forget it and he started swearing etc. don't trust these people!! read more

Total ripoff and poor customer service!!! They quoted me $65 for the service call plus $35/half hour of labor to fix the intercom for our condo. The technician came out and fixed the door in less than an hour and charged me $500!! The intercom only worked for a week. When I called them to complain, they said it'll be another $65 for the service call plus $35/half hour labor. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don't waste your time or money!! We had this company install our system awhile back so I called them to come out to fix the alarm going off and they charged us $125 for coming out and was going to charge $3200 to fix the post and base. I got another quote from another company for $800 and they did it same day service. Just because we have a nice house doesn't mean we want to spend four times the money. read more

After being called a liar by the General Manager he informed me that the issue was resolved via Yelp. REALLY!! Because I wrote a review they decided to not do a thing.
