I had no huge amount of money in savings. I came up $500. The financial wizard Darren worked with me. When I asked for the out-the-door price, I was handed off to the Sales Consultant/Business Development Manager, who sent the numbers. I made a counteroffer. Their response? "That's not even close." No conversation, no negotiation -- just a quick, dismissive reply. I was expecting at least a counter-proposal or a "today only" offer. I went in anyway to test drive the vehicle without an appointment. After the drive, I was ready to move forward, but I wanted a new inspection since the last one was five months ago. The tires showed wear, and the low tire pressure light was on. I was told that could be arranged -- but only if I signed that night. I mentioned I'm a veteran and pre-approved through USAA. That's when things changed. The Sales Manager told me they don't accept USAA pre-approvals and that I'd have to finance through them. I was also told a wholesale buyer was coming the next morning. So I left. About an hour and a half later, I checked the website and saw the price had gone up $3,000 -- after months of consistent pricing, and even discounts. Over the next couple of days, they called, emailed, and left voicemails saying the vehicle was still available, inviting me back. I thought it was supposed to be sold the next morning? The whole experience felt off -- pressured to sign immediately, blocked from using my own financing, conflicting information, and sloppy communication with multiple typos. It just didn't sit right. Buyers should be cautious.

Disaster of a dealership. BEWARE BEWARE…read more Before this review I have tried many times to communicate with the dealership. They will not communicate. I have contacted a lawyer and even had the Maryland Attorney General along with the MVA investigation division speak with me on this matter. Where do I start? The lying? The fraud? The lack of communication. They have had and are still in a possession of a vehicle I purchased in July. They have had it more than I have. Immediately after the car was purchased the airbag light and engines lights came on within a day. Contacted them immediately and was told to bring it back. It was brought back only for them to keep it for 2 months because they had to "send it out for repair". After getting the vehicle back, not only was the light still on but it wouldn't steer properly and was promptly brought back. They claimed it was a faulty power steering hose. Got the car back and was told the airbag light was still on and I needed to take it up with the owner. Funny thing though you can't get ahold of him and almost every time you call they don't answer. Leave a voicemail? Well the voicemail box has been full every single time. Fast forward to finally getting ahold of someone and being told to take it to a dealership. The dealership writes the car up for a two page write up. Including a rack and pinion that was replaced and claimed under my purchased warranty without my knowledge. Forged my signature digitally to approve the work and to this date can't provide a work ticket on their end. That same rack and pinion that Ron's Automotive installed HAD to be taken back to them because it was already filed under warranty by them. After being told the airbag light was a clock spring issue with the shop they "sent it out to" they couldn't provide documentation for weeks of that work. After getting the shops name "who did the repair" and calling them it was discovered my vehicle never went there for that repair. So who knows what they did with my car for two months claiming it needed to be sent out. As of today I have called and even sent emails to the owner with not a single response. They still are still in possession of my car which I don't even want anymore and will be fighting in court at this point. Morale of the story these people are Liars and commit fraud. A quick public database search will actually show you the open cases and closed cases against them. You can search Ron's Automotive or Carzlane who is the actually owner of Ron's Automotive now Save yourself the misery and find a reputable place that actually cares and understands customer service. Lastly, these comments about Ray being a great service manager are very misleading. This is the same Ray who hung the phone up on me when asking for an update, could never provide an answer or work ticket on services performed, claimed he was leaving in two weeks back in December and didn't care anymore (still employed there) and never answers the phone.

I went into carmax and started their process, it took about 45 minutes and the salesman really beat me up I felt like, hammered me about the cars miles, the condition, error codes etc.. The offer was low and after the barrage I told him let me go across the street and see what they offer. I drove literally across the street and met Mark and started the cash money process. After about 15 minutes he was back and said he liked the car and offered me $200 over the Carmax price, I told him another $200 and we had a deal and we shook on it and I couldnt have been happier. That jump across the street yielded me another 400$ and I got the check that day. Mark helped me unload my trunk and clean out the car AND drove me back home. I cant say enough nice things about CMC. Buying a car was a smooth process here, the transaction was fast and easy, not all the extra fees. If you're looking for a car check them out. I did have some small hiccups with the car, but Mr.Burns a man of his word made repairs and made arrangements for my car to be deliver back to me once repairs were completed. 10/10 I would recommend for easy car buying.

Upon research and review of horror stories I can confidently say that my experience has been close to, if not met, by the realm of terrors reserved for only the innermost delusions of hell. I was sold a lemon. Hook, line, sinker, yet the reviews I saw preached that this was not the case. I surveyed the dealerships around MD and VA, and stalked for the best deal from what I thought was the best opportunity. Just like a nightmare, all seemed rosey, until my engine block shuddered and sounded to a stop in the middle of the highway. Not only did my car shudder so did I. Like claws against my spine I realized I had risked my credit and future on a lie and I felt a harsh, freezing cold, embrace my entire physical existence. My engine had been misfiring before, and now had overheated. It seemed the previous owner had a coolant leak and the engine had began to overheat, causing moderate piston misfires. This issue had ran its course to cause severity throughout... but the horrors only began. I was promised an extended powertrain warranty... one I never received evidence of in months of my ownership. Within 3 weeks of purchase my car overheated to a stop, I fixed my coolant tank. Within a month the misfiring dealt its damage. An untold hundreds of dollars of damage. I now sit at home, facing a fee similar to my rent with no way to earn my income. I have been scammed. I have been tricked. As well as betrayed by what I thought were similar breeds as I, Military. I not only feel mishandled and taken advantage of. I feel utterly mishandled by family in arms. The seventh layer of hell indeed, Maybe it was a misunderstanding and an oversight? I sure hope so...
