I was referred by Frank's Mobile Mechanic. I had a cracked muffler, I called to get pricing to replace the muffler on my 2001 4Runner, since I drive back and forth from Texas to California, twice a year. I spoke with Antonio, he quoted $120 over the phone. I took my truck first thing in the morning at 8, I was done by 8:30 a.m. He showed me my old cracked muffler, he made sure the piping was in good condition and nothing was out of place. This is where my insurance towed my car to after I hit a pothole late at night. The next day, I called Elite. The person on the phone was rude to me and said my car was not there. Eventually after double checking with the towing company, I called Elite again and the same person looked outside and confirmed that my car was there. I had bought an entire exhaust system off Amazon, including rear cats, and brought it here for install. They did honest work and did it quickly. He'd figured 4 to 5 hours labor and that's exactly what it took. They had to cut and weld a pipe, it was unexpected, but minor and they did it at no additional charge, what they quoted me over the phone was what the final bill was. When the work was done he had all my old parts in a pile waiting for me if I'd have wanted them. Also, I had previously replaced one of the front cats (I have 4 on my truck) and I expected to need to replace the other front cat, I told them I replaced one front already and asked if they could inspect the other while it was torn apart. They were honest & told me the other cat was fine and did not need replaced, MAN, that speaks volumes to me about their honesty. I recommend this shop, it was a great experience. read more

Called to ask for an estimate. The guy on the phone said to come in. I asked if we needed an appointment. He replied saying he works on a first come first serve basis only. When we arrived he seemed bothered and annoyed by us showing up after he told us to come in. He looked under the vehicle for about thirty seconds and said he needed to replace the whole muffler, but once we got it to bring it to him and he would do the work. We went on our mission to get the part he requested, this took the entire day. I called back as I was looking to confirm I was getting the right part. He confirmed. I called the next morning to let him know I got the part and would be going shortly to get it installed. He immediately said he didn't have time and was expecting three more people in the next fifteen minutes. Insinuating that he no longer could care for my business. It came off as rude and bothersome. Needless to say we called the next shop near us and thank God we found a decent and kind mechanic that is doing the work Elite lost. Very nice and professional on the phone, got a price quote over the phone (a very fair number) and brought it by. The staff is super friendly and the service was outstanding, really nice welds and the price matched the estimate over the phone. Was in and out in 20 minutes. I called about 6 other places and this shop was the cheapest, and they were able to do same day. Others say they are booked til next week. This place really deserves more business and should expand.
