After I kept complaining that it was burning me they took me out . She asked me what I wanted and I told her I wanted it flat ironed . She said because of the time I spent under the dryer flat ironing would burn my hair - she said she could only dry it a bit more with the blow dryer. When she was done I asked how much, she asked her boss and her boss said " she has a lot of hair , charge her $75" . I was there for 2hours and a half , I was not able to get what I came for. I was charged 30 EXTRA DOLLARS for just a wash and blow dryer ( NO IRON STYLING) . I've been to over 20 different salons and I have never been charged that much. I will not go back .

However, before leaving I checked my Apple Wallet app to verify the transaction and found that they had added $30 extra dollars to the transaction for a total of $73.93!!! I went to the cashier and showed him the transaction and he got all nervous and said that he must have hit a wrong button! How can a wrong button have been hit if you gave me a final receipt showing $43.93??? He said he needed to call someone to credit back the $30 but I could go ahead and leave. Mind you, he had taken my original receipt back. I told him and would wait and that he could go ahead and refund the entire order. Before the appointment, she told me a wash would be an additional $30, so I opted to wash and prep my own hair. I went ahead thinking the quality must justify the price. The appointment took about 7 hours for medium mid back length. At first, I couldn't figure out what felt off about the style, but once I got home I noticed several twists in the back were already unraveling. I reached out and she offered to fix them, which I appreciated. People pointed out how bulky it looked and the parting was not well done. When I returned, she did adjust the middle part. I also asked if some of the twists could be combined to reduce the volume because it felt like I had a helmet on. She wasn't very open to that and said it wouldn't look good. She said the frizz in the back was due to my hair texture and that there was nothing she could do about it. She mentioned she needed to cut but did not want to without permission. I absolutely respect that, but as a client I expect to be informed while I'm in the chair so I can decide what works best for me. The twisting itself was decent, but the style is too heavy, the parting is inconsistent, and the frizz will likely cause the style to look worn out too quickly. On top of that, the uneven parting makes the style substantially less versatile when it comes to styling options. I ended up paying $370 with tip, and in my opinion this style should not have cost more than $280 even at the high end. I have to wear it half up and half down just to make it manageable. She mentioned I should have said something because the style would have been cheaper and faster. I told her I didn't know I had to tell her about the parts. I'm curious what the cheaper price would have been because a lash was getting box braids in the shop and told me she was quoted $300. Maybe it was a miscommunication, but I have never had to specify that I wanted neat, square parts. That has always been a standard expectation with braiders I have gone to in the past. Adonai was kind and did agree to fix some things, but overall I am disappointed and would not book again at this price point for this quality.
