Based on the reviews here, I was a bit terrified, and he assured me he partners with them regularly and would not work with them if he was not confident in them. My floors are maroleum, a tricky linoleum; the owner came highly recommended from a Raleigh store and he told me he knew how to clean my floors, but he did not. Like the previous reviewer, I too did not use a coupon other than the three room special posted on their website. I called the company twice: once to set up the cleaning and once to confirm the appointment. Both times I was not called back until the early evening of the same day, but that's fine since I assume that they are a small, local family business and are out working rather than sitting around answering phones. Both times I was called back by the owner, and he was very professional. The person cleaning my home arrived seven minutes early, was very polite, confirmed the service I had ordered over the phone, and was done in an hour with the carpets looking great. I have never had such a terrible experience with a carpet cleaning company that says 100% guarantee on their website. Dallas the manager was totally unprofessional in his interactions with me. He was rude and condescending and to add to it, my rug ended up smelling like mildew after they cleaned it! Terrible job, I used my living social coupon and they up charged me for deodorizing the carpet. They brought filthy equipment that needed deodorizing itself and the flooring appears just as stained and dirty as it did prior to their job. Here's the run down: I called on 12/3/2014 to schedule a carpet cleaning appointment for 12/15/2014 at 10:30am and at that time the owner told me that I would need to spend $39 in addition to what I already spent because I am outside their area and I have pets and therefore I needed to have a special enzyme cleaner. I was reluctant to give him the money up front because it makes more sense to pay them when they arrive. He wouldn't accept that and gave me this angry lecture on how he's been in business for over 20 years and I should trust him. After all, I gave my cc info to Living Social so he should be trusted too? Okay, fine I'm going to go out on a limb and trust him. He charged me that day, but not without telling me this: "I wish that whole Groupon and Living Social thing would just blow up because I'm forced to do business with them so I can make a living!" Wow, so I just paid a guy that is this angry...hopefully he's not going to be the one cleaning my carpets! So then on 12/12/2014 at 5:16pm I called to cancel my appointment. The owner told me that I was within the 48 hour cancellation window and normally I would lose my money, but he would make an exception. Technically, I was outside the window because my appointment was on Monday 12/15/2014 at 10:30am. He proceeded to tell me that he was closed at this time (Friday 12/12 at 5:16pm) and I needed to call back on Monday to reschedule. If you look at his website, it says his hours are Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm. What was also interesting, is he marked my LS voucher as redeemed on the same night (Fri 12/12/2014 at 7:02pm...but I thought his office was closed? Why would he redeem it after speaking with me AND he hasn't finished the service? Sketchy... So I had a change of plans and called again on Saturday 12/13/2014 at 11:45am to see if my Monday 10:30am slot was still available. It was not (only 11am was and I had to leave at 11:45am), so no big deal, I asked to reschedule for sometime in January. He said he was closed and can't help me right now. I mentioned that his website says he is open on Saturday's 9-6 and he said the hours changed and it has not been updated. I then asked him if he was even interested in doing business with me because I have the impression that he doesn't at this point...he said that wasn't his fault, that it was my fault that I had that impression!! Where else would I get the impression lol? Wow, so the saga continues...so he raised his voice at me and said he was" trying to please me" but he couldn't until Monday. He "has a sinus infection and is not in front of the schedule and I needed to call him back on Monday"...so how did he know for sure there was an opening on Monday at 11am at that moment? Also, why can't he call me back? It does say on his website (home page) 100% Customer Satifaction Guarantee (yes SatiSfaction is spelled wrong on his website)! So I called Living Social on Saturday 12/13/2014 and asked for a refund. They said they were going to have to call him and speak to him about it because he already marked it as redeemed. On the flip side, he still owes me $39 that I put on my credit card and refused to refund it. How can he refuse to refund any of my money when I was OUTSIDE the 48 hour window??!! The owner is unprofessional, rude and shady and is a person that has basically stolen from me! Hopefully people that are thinking about using this business will read these reviews unlike myself and many others posted on here. Don't make my costly mistake!!! P.S. If the owner does get around to reading this, here's a message for you: Stop assuming that everyone that buys a Groupon or Living Social deal is just looking for a one time deal (this is another impression YOU gave me). WOW! I wish I would have read these BEFORE I bought the Groupon. First - I called and was told that they were not going to honor the Groupon because they were having issues with Groupon and it should not have even been posted. So I called Groupon and they did indeed refund my money. However, being as the guy was honest - I made an appointment. I mean, I still needed my carpet cleaned. He quoted me a price and said Thursday would be ok for them to come out and he would call/text/email me back with a time, as I told him I was flexible with times. He said they would charge extra for moving furniture, so I told him it would all be moved. He took my cc number for what I thought was a hold since I was not going to physically be there (a family member was). Later that night, I was my cc was charged! WTH? AND I didn't even get an appointment to know when or if they were even coming out. I called twice during their business hours and got their answering machine. He called me back and argued with me saying that we texted back and forth the night before and my appointment was for today! He finally realized that he was not texting or talking to me, it was someone else. He said my appointment was today and asked if that was ok. I told him no - I didn't move my furniture. BUT, he did apologize and I did accept his apology. But, my experience has not been good so far, so I still wanted a refund. The guy STILL continued to argue with me, while repeating that they have been in business for over 20 years! 1. Don't charge my card. 2. Don't argue with me. He said he would refund my money and we said our good-byes. THEN he called me back to argue some more! Are you kidding me? Yes, less is better for all of us. I had a great carpet cleaner that retired. A new one already made me mad and my carpet was gross. I didn't like paying up front. Terrible job! Worst customer service - offensive, unprofessional, rude customer service provided by the owner of the company. I used a groupon for Elite Carpet Cleaning services. The carpet was in a very good shape with small pet stains from a dog/dog's bed. Routine cleaning was needed. Carpet Cleaning: - No furniture was moved to clean the carpet - The carpet did not look/smelled any different - Pet treatment up charge was a waste of money - no stains/odor was eliminated It looked like they only vacuumed. I contacted customer service/the owner of the company and requested the crew to come over and examine the job and, if agreed, provide a new service ( I knew they could not disagree that the job was terrible). I purchased a deal on living social for this company. Upon calling I was told that not only was I outside of the radius and that I would need to contact living social. In addition I was told there would be additional fees because I had pets. Upon reading the living social it was perceived that this was only if there was pet urine. I bought a living social coupon and called to schedule... they were very hard to schedule with because I live in Wake Forest. Told me I was being charged a $25 fee for being more than 25 miles away, but when I asked for their physical address to confirm that, they would not give it to me. Also told me because I have a small dog, there is a mandatory special pet treatment fee, another $25. Scheduled my appointment for 8am, as I told them I needed to be at work (by the airport) by 10- they said to expect the cleaning to take 1hr, because of the additional pet treatment. Flash forward to day of appt. At 8:15, I got a call from the cleaner, who told me "sorry" and that he was "running late" and would be there in a few minutes. I asked where he was, as I had an 8am appt, and he told me that "I have until 9, Im not late" and explained the window is 8-9am. I explained that the woman I scheduled with assured me they could be there at 8, since I was first appt, and that they would be done at 9. Plus, I asked him why he was calling to apologize for being late, if he had a window until 9. He hemmed and hawed and never answered. He said he was just a few minutes away. At 8:45 (30 min after his call to apologize for being late) he arrived and told me he was late because he was halfway to me but had to stop for gas (that takes 30min?) and that the pump wouldnt read his card. SO, instead of going inside for the clerk to scan it, he said he had to drive back to the shop to get a new card, then go back to the gas station. He then told me that I owed him the $50 additional for the travel fee and pet treatment and asked where I wanted him to clean. I asked him again where he was coming from (to confirm the +25mi distance) but he just said "the shop." I showed him the rooms, he pointed out two stains that he said probably wouldnt come out, and he "got started." First, he had a pump sprayer that looked like it had water in it and quickly and randomly sprayed a light mist on all the carpet- that was the "special pet treatment" that would remove any contaminants, odor, etc. from the carpet. He then went and got the hose from the truck and immediately went to each room very quickly cleaning the carpets. The whole house was done in less than 20min and didnt look much better. There were 2 spots on the floor, one from punch and one was a pet stain that he said, "see, I told you they wouldnt come out," yet he never did any specialty treatment, etc. the carpets looked fluffed up a bit, simply due to suction on the wet vac, but not sure how much cleaner they were. I do know that the "special pet treatment" seemed to be a joke, as he didnt even focus on the pet stain with it, just casually walked around the room misting the carpet, as if it was water (which it might have been, since there were no cleaning chemical labels, etc. on the container, which I assume their should have been) He quickly finished and packed up and was gone by 9:05. Since he told me that the stains wouldnt come out, I got my can of spot shot and sprayed both... The red punch stain lightened up tremendously (its almost invisible) and the pet stain came completely up. This is the last time I use Elite... What a joke. read more

After dealing with that, I was told that with a groupon only "high traffic areas" were going to be covered, I asked the technician to show me that on the groupon which he couldn't. He proceeded to clean my carpets, without ever going behind doors, never pretreated areas I asked him to pretreat, I moved beds so he could get to stains, but he ignored them as well. He decided to go ahead with only treating the high traffic areas even though it wasn't on the groupon anywhere. After I contacted the company I received one e-mail promising a follow-up which of course never came. A second e-mail was followed up with a nasty phone call, accusing me of insulting the company and the technician, when I tried to get a word in, he hung up on me. A lot of the companies that use groupon or living social end up being a waste of time (never call back for appts, no shows, terrible service, etc.), but elite was great! They showed up promptly at the scheduled time, were pretty quick to get the job done, and were polite. The carpets turned out great! They had a year worth of wear with 2 big dirty dogs. I used Elite Carpet Cleaning for a rental property move-in cleaning. During the scheduling, the owner asked if there were any stains. I told him there was a juice stain and then another light colored stain in two of the bedrooms. I was not informed at that time nor when the cleaner arrived that they would be unable to remove the stains. On the scheduled date, the cleaner arrived 45 minutes late and I had to contact them to inquire about their whereabouts. The guy cleaned the carpets in less than 30 minutes and still didnt mentioned that he was unable to remove the stains or get close enough to clean near the baseboards. I would not use them again, I hired them to do two rooms, a hallway and stairs in one of my rental units. I left the rental unit open for them to go in and do the work. When i went to check on it after they were done and gone, I found that they had not done one of the rooms. I called them and asked why, they said that I had not requested two rooms, I only requested one. Ok, as the customer, I know I asked for two, the rest of the unit is hardwood, why would I clean everything except one room?
