My insurance company utilizes Arco for estimates. I elected to go with them for repairs after my insurance company asked. There were issues immediately with low estimates and miscalculated material costs. Because of that my insurance company has had to issue multiple checks, costing me both time and money. In terms of the actual work, roof flashing was skipped entirely upon roof replacement, later identified as a flooding hazard. Also, the roofing shingles were supposed to be Dark Gray and they were installed Light to Medium Gray. I could probably have pushed the problem but decided against it. For ceiling damage, the worker subcontractors interpreted the work as painting only even though the estimates stated sheet rock replacement, so that had to be rescheduled. For another ceiling on the 2nd floor, after the work was finished, there were scuffs and small dents and the project manager accused me of fabricating the damage. Lastly, one window screen was not installed flush with the window and was later corrected. It has been a full year and works remain incomplete. read more

I closed on a new home Dec 20th. Before I moved in, I had all the floors replaced with the same LVP, and I had all the walls & trim repainted. Unfortunately, the day I moved in there was a leak caused by my washing machine. Progressive sent ARCO to water damge remediate, which went fine, and to do the repairs, which is what this review is about. My home is two stories, and the leak originated from upstairs and dripped down into the living room. It resulted in them needed to pull up the floors in the upstairs hallway and in a small section in the living room. ARCO wrote the quote to replace the ENTIRE living room floor and dining room downstairs, the entire landing, and just the hallway & laundry room upstairs. My insurance, without me having looked at the claim, approved it. I was very upset when I saw the scope of work, it felt like way too much work to me. When I questioned it, they said they had to replace all of it because the new floor might not match and because the floor between the rooms was continuous. When I asked why, if the criteria are not matching and continuous, did they not ALSO have to replace the bathrooms, bedrooms, closet, that were all done in the same, continuous floor (no thresholds or transitions in any of the door way) he raised his voice and accused me of now changing my tune wanting them to replace MORE. He said they "Only do whole jobs," and if I didnt like it to find someone else. Admittedly, my nervous system reacted poorly to being gaslit, and I yelled at him to get out of my house. When I called the main office to complain to them about the conflicting information they are giving me (one minute they have to replace everything because it might not match and its continuous, but they don't have to replace these other areas that also are continuous and in the same type of floor because???), they basically told me they didn't think I was a good fit and I should find someone else. Mind you I never found them, they were who my insurance recommended. Some other things that didn't make sense about their quote: -They wanted to rip up and replace all the floors on the landing. The landing didn't have ANY damage at all. -They wanted to repaint the entire downstairs living room & dining room walls. The walls weren't damaged. The leak was in the middle of the room/cieling. Also I had the floors replaced AFTER I painted the first time, so if they are competent replacing the floor shouldn't require repainting the walls. So only use ARCO if you are looking to have your job SEVERELY over written, and want to be treated like dirt and gaslit when you call them out on it. I am also shocked and appalled that my insurance, Progressive, seems to be ok with them severely overwriting the work. What no one has seemed to understand is that it's not about the money, the insurance is paying for it! It's about the disruption that will be caused to my life and my safe, homespace by having a bunch of extra, unecessary work done, just because ARCO is greedy. And before the business owners comes on here telling you I yelled at them and dropped f bombs. Yes, I did, after their guy in my home raised his voice at me saying they would only did it their way and if I didn't like it I should find someone else. No, I shouldn't have lost my cool, but I did. However, it does not absolve them of grossly inflating the estimate in order to milk my insurance. read more

ARCO Restoration boarded up an exterior door for me after a Christmas Day break-in and burglary. I was understandably very upset after this incident and trusted that ARCO was a reputable and honest company. Instead, ARCO had me sign paperwork without discussing pricing and said that they would go through my insurance company. At the end of all this, I received an unexpected bill for nearly $500. Think twice before engaging in any business with ARCO. They took advantage of me during a vulnerable situation and failed to provide and clear and upfront pricing information. I absolutely cannot recommend ARCO to anyone. Their behavior was unacceptable, dishonest, unprofessional and predatory. Please choose another restoration company that values honest, transparency and professionalism. That is NOT ARCO. read more

From start to finish Arco Restoration handled everything in a professional manner. They would have come out in the middle of the night to start, but I held them off until the next morning. First thing in the morning the project manager showed up, evaluated the situation, and explained what was going to take place and when. All work was done on schedule and to a high quality. I recently had a sewage overflow at my new house. As one can imagine, it was a nightmare. Arco was quick and reliable during the damage assessment and repair process. Most importantly, they did a meticulous job with the renovation and painting, leaving the house looking brand new again. Great experience in a bad situation. A pipe burst in my crawlspace spewing 175 gals per day for a month. Arco was the best estimate. Immediately Kevin, Frank, Jasper and Rich jumped in and took care of all the damage. They kept me up to date 100% with daily checkins and working beyond expectations. I would give this place zero stars if i could. Completely dishonest and unprofessional. The progect manager, Michael, was no where to be found. Took me 2 weeks to chase him around to get an estimate. When I finally got one it was incredibly high. Upon further inspection, i saw that he was lying and overcharging me for everything. I was so upset, i demanded my insurance make them refund my deductable. When my insurance requested a refund of my deductible, they pretended to "forget" and never sent it until my insurance called and requested it again. We had a pipe burst in our second home. The total leak was 76,00 gallons of water. The house was a mess! The water remediation folks showed up the next day. They were professional and displayed a caring attitude, like they understood how upsetting this is. The worked like crazy the first day and several days after. The place is dry, doesn't smell and ready for renovation. The guys called me every time they were going to the house and also to give me updates!! Frank and the crew were outstanding. I liked them so much, they are currently my renovations. Angel got everything together, chased the insurance adjuster and got us to contract. I feel very confident Ernie and his crew will do a first rate job. read more

We had major rain water damage above our garage. The company sent out their crew and they did an excellent job in restoring our house. We actually watched them replace the roof and siding on our neighbors house and since they did a good job, decided to try them. Gave us professional estimates, unlike others, and the Ann Marie was due diligent in following up with our answers and contracts. We highly recommend them. The three contractors who actually worked on the house were professional, courteous, funny, assured us that they would make our house right. They kept their word! Fantastic folks! read more

With water coming from our first floor ceiling & our ceilingvstarting to come down, I was understandably panicked. Turns out our attic HVAC system sprung a leak (turned out to be a bunch of problems) and had pooled some gallons of water in our attic which ran to our 2nd floor ceiling, running down the 2nd floor walls, soaking the 2nd floor hall carpet from the bottom up, down to & thru the 1st floor ceiling. Not knowing what to do, I called our home insurance co. (State Farm) who referred us to ARCO. It was almost or just after 5 and Kevin McCloud, Mitigation Supervisor talked me through it. We were able to get the water up and stop the dripping. Kevin and his team were AWESOME. Not only were they extremely professional, timely, but Kevin seriously calmed me down. Everything went like clockwork. Was glad that the holes cut through ceilings/walls were as small as was necessary (I later heard that other companies take down huge parts of the walls/ceilings- so as to have more to repair later). Was very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them... although, admittedly, I hope I don't ever need their services... but, still, it's nice to know that they're there if something crazy happens again! read more
