He uses a topical anesthetic before the novacaine shots (the most uncomfortable part of the procedure, really, and he has a very light touch with administering injections, providing gentle verbal encouragement simultaneously) and tells you about feeling some pressure or the "grumbly drill" etc. Dr. Brandys has many years of experience and is attuned to providing a positive patient experience by his supportive bedside manner. The office receptionist, Nancy, is friendly and welcoming, as are his two assistants. His happy humming along to the dental room music is a plus! When an X-Ray was done at the new dental office we go to, it turns out not all of the root was removed which explains the infection. Do not come here unless you want to get another procedure done on the same tooth and spend even more money.

The staff were incredible in getting me in that same day to be seen. Dr. Chae was great about explaining the entire process and answering any questions I had. I elected to be sedated because I am a big wimp... I'm also very claustrophobic and have a severe gag reflex. Dr. Chae was extremely smooth about starting the IV as I don't even recall feeling a pinch (definitely better than the nurses I've experienced in the past). 25 minutes later I was waking up with my wisdom tooth removed and very minimal discomfort! Dr. Chae called me later that evening to check in on me and to ensure I had picked up my prescriptions from the pharmacy. I thought that was the sweetest thing! There is no doubt in my mind that I feel he truly cared for me as if I was a close friend or family member. A genuine doctor with staff who were extremely nice and accommodating... However, my experience with that surgeon was nothing short of terrible! At that time, the surgeon dubbed my 4th wisdom tooth "unremovable", and said it would need to be re-evaluated later to see if it could be removed. Of course, my experience with the other 3 removals was so terrible that I decided just to keep the 4th tooth, rather than go through such an awful thing again. Fast forward to a few months ago when ongoing infections make it obvious that that tooth has GOT to go. Of course, I was terrified because of what my previous oral surgeon told me. My dentist referred me to Dr. Dave, and when he told me that it would be no problem to remove that tooth, I was HIGHLY skeptical and a bit suspicious. He was totally right though! He was able to remove this "problem" wisdom tooth quickly and easily with no problems. I barely even had any pain afterward and the tooth healed quickly and without issue. What's more, Dr. Dave even called me the following day (a Saturday) just to make sure I was doing ok, something my previous surgeon never did. My only regret is that I did not go to Dr. Dave three years ago to have my initial wisdom tooth surgery. It would likely have saved me a lot of problems (and $). If you've been putting off oral surgery for any reason, don't hesitate to book it with Dr. Dave. He's great!

He and his staff put me at ease, numbed me so I had no pain at all and then skillfully pulled it out. After a few stitches i was sent home with an ice pack and prescriptions for an antibiotic and pain in case I needed it. Doctor even called me later that evening to be sure I was OK. This is a skilled, compassionate Doctor who provides the absolute best care!
