This salon is very clean and has a nice decor. I came in from a Groupon I purchased for conditioning and a blow out. Nikki was my stylist. She was very friendly and did an excellent job, I would definitely come back to her! Overall the appointment took about 1 hour 45 minutes. This was my first blow out/conditioning treatment and I was very happy with how clean my hair felt and how light it was once it was blown out. I didn't wash my hair again for 3 days after because it stayed looking clean and straight. I'd highly recommend this salon. read more

I went to this salon yesterday and told my stylist I wanted my hair blond like Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad...white. My stylist smiled and said, "ok" as if she understood what I wanted and gave me a full highlight that I paid for on Groupon. What she didn't tell me was that she did not know who Harley Quinn was and that she couldn't give me a full bleach job. I would've gotten my money back from Groupon and figured something else out. She didn't even ask to see a pic of what I wanted! And then she blamed ME cause she didn't ask me what I wanted. I told her exactly what I wanted and she was so busy talking to other stylists that she didn't even pay attention to what I was saying. I watched her have a whole conversation with someone else while I was sitting in her chair! Stylists really need to communicate with and focus on their clients so they know exactly what they want! This was NOT what I wanted or intended to pay for. My experience at this salon was disappointing. I'm never going back again! read more

Had a great experience at Elite Edge. Was a little unsure at first because I was trying a new place outside of my current stylist. But Ami did a super job on my cut and full highlights. I've gotten many compliments. She's very friendly and knows her stuff. Only one negative thing about my experience....a nearby stylist conversing with her client was using foul language. NOT cool. VERY unprofessional. Does not give the salon a good image in my opinion. And not the kind of language you want to hear when trying to relax and enjoy some pampering. I was so looking forward to this salon, since I read such great reviews. I asked for Kristin. She was given such high ratings, I brought a picture of what I want she said it would look so cut, when she was done it didn't. She butchered my hair. So I went back because I had called and Michelle the owner told me to come back and she would fix it. I told her it was too short and I wanted my money back. She had me come in and made me feel like it was my fault. She had the hair stylist standing behind me give me dirty looks, everyone in the salon seemed to know why I was there. Showed the picture of the style I wanted instead of saying to Kristin that she did it wrong she told me that my hair was to course for that style. Then proceeded to tell me that I might need a class on how to style my hair. In the end did not get my money back they game me a gift card to come back and two little samples. I have been coming to this salon for the last two years. I drive 40 minutes to get here each time because I love it so much! :/) Michelle (the owner) does my hair. I get Keratin hair treatments and hair cuts with her every few months. She is fabulous along with her staff. The salon is pretty big and very modern. There is always fresh coffee and treats for customers. The staff is very friendly, polite, and accommodating. I wouldn't go to any other salon. This place is wonderful! :) read more

Completely bashed my hair when her hair wasn't even brushed, when I came in the stylist laughed at me when I gave my name. Very rude stylist and was not helpful at all, just trying to get more and more money out of me. To that stylist, do not bash people when you're not looking like a professional at all. I had a great experience with Natasha at Elite Edge! I was given a Groupon for Christmas for a cut, deep condition, and full highlights. Natasha did a great job on my cut, following instructions very well and also did a nice job on the highlights. There is an extra fee if you need toner for your color, as well as another fee for hair longer than shoulder length, contradicting the Groupon, but Natasha did a great job finding a solution to work around the toner and keeping it a true Groupon experience. read more

Who would have thought I finally found a fantastic colorist in the burbs thanks to Groupon!?! Joseline is amazing, very knowledgeable and skilled in highlighting technique... She instantly makes you feel like a friend, while turning you into the diva you were before your hair grew out and faded! Overall the salon is very cute as well, all the staff is friendly and I love the detailed email receipts. Had a horrible experience with Karen M. While the rest of the stylists and staff seemed friendly and quite approachable, Karen was the exact opposite. She was rude and pretentious, having no respect for myself OR my mother. On top of this, she completely mangled my hair. Not very happy with this salon. Make sure you read the fine print on your groupon deal. I was tacked on an extra $50 at checkout by Jocelyn my stylist. Not to mention- I waited 30 minutes under a freezing cold dryer until the shampoo girl was available. They let another client take the dryer heated up for me. I told her I wanted an inch cut off, and she cut off not even a quarter inch. It just seemed pretty lazy on their end. My hair came out pretty brassy the next day and I am only in town once per week. So I called to get it re-toned (I paid for it anyway) and she said it's too far out now and "other factors" played a part. Not happy with this service at ALL. Save your money and use it elsewhere. Their customer service skills are lacking and they've lost a client. read more

Had a facial there and used a Groupon for it. The facial is nothing to write home about. The esthetician analyzed my faced and bluntly pointed out everything that was "wrong" with it. I understand that the esthetician is supposed to help you with your skin issues but she had no social finesse. Then, as the facial progressed, she made sure to exaggerate all of my problems and then she made it seem like she was doing me a huge favor by "fixing" my skin. She got gel in my eyes and nose, and the appointment was cut 15 minutes short because she was late to work that day. The entire procedure gave me anxiety and I couldn't wait to leave. Came in not expecting much but she really listened to what I wanted and the result was fantastic. This was my third attempt at ombre after first two butchered ones. Cannot be happier. This review is specific to Kristen Steele. I had my hair cut and partial highlights done. Kristen did an awesome job. She was friendly, happy and knowledgeable. She was very cognizant of the time, because I told her I had to leave by 5 pm and she made sure I was done in time. I told Kristen I wanted blond highlights, but I didn't want them chunky or streaky, and she listened and did exactly what I wanted. The highlights look very natural, which is the look I was going for. She also did a great job cutting my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she cut my hair exactly as I wanted. This place is nothing special. I had a groupon for a facial with Veronica, and it was below average. The hair salon is so loud that I could hear the hairdressers talking through the shut door and music that was playing next to my head. Not relaxing at all. Parts of the facial were fine, but it did not include a scalp or shoulder massage, which I thought was a pretty standard part of facials. I also wondered why I was told to undress from the waist up if she didn't even come close to touching my shoulders. The last part of the facial was a 15 minute mask, which smelled and felt good. However, when she came back in the room, I later realized she didn't wipe the mask off from half of my face. How hard is that to do? It was still on my nose, lip, and cheek bone. So all in all, I felt the need to write this to give people a heads up that a facial from here isn't the worst thing ever, but you should probably go somewhere else for one! read more
