update 4: it's been a year now, and i'm angry to report that this company sure did install a new AC…read moreunit, but it sure doesn't do anything to cool my second floor. so essentially they robbed me of 10k$ and i have nothing to show from it. mike had the audacity to tell me he's never gotten a bad review before, but i would argue he isn't looking. there is no way i'm the only person who they installed something and it didn't work. in an entire year, he has done nothing to rectify this or make it even slightly better. but he sure did take my fucking money..... thanks for nothing mike! Update 3: not me hearing a weird noise and following the duct work and realizing they either used or left a piece of cardboard where duct work should be. Why did I pay them so much money to come out and do such a half assed job? Really upsetting and unfortunate. Super excited to have to replace that myself because I certainly don't trust this company to actually update the system like I paid them to. Back down to 2 stars. Update 2: Mike came by and we finagled some things to get the unit operating as best as possible. The bigger issue may be the lackluster duct work in my house as a whole. I appreciate him coming back and assessing the system and working with me to get it as operational as possible. I have edited my review below slightly. Overall I am pleased with the updates, but I just wish I knew what I was supposed to be expecting. Update: I stand by what I said originally, and I have dropped it to 2 stars. I still wake up sweating most nights. The airflow is no better in my bedroom even after he came back to adjust the way to vent pushed the air. All in all I will be out almost 10k after the interest for moderate results. The work was done well, but it is not as helpful as I would've hoped. Waiting to see still, will update the stars depending on the rest of the summer, especially these next few hot days coming. I wanted them to come out and do some basic repairs/updating. Wound up being convinced it was my AC as a whole that needed to be replaced. This was due to the age of the unit in general as well as using outdated refrigerant. Plus the previous home owner really liked to do things that violated codes. 9k later my second floor is still not really getting colder, at least as cold as I would expect from the better/newer system, and fixing the leaking area in the basement. Yes it works. Yes my air is cleaner thanks to the filter. But all in all I feel I spent a significant amount of money for insignificant results. My first floor is quite cold, which it already was moderately before the upgrade. Now I have a really cold first floor while I'm sweating at night. So yeah it works, but so did my old unit, albeit it didn't feel as fresh in the house. The work itself was done very well and only took the better part of a day which was quick given all the duct work repairs. The duct work was cleanly placed and thoroughly setup. The connections are clean and the system is completed now with an air filter cabinet. A discount was given for the amount of work being done, so that's super cool too. The individuals working there are knowledgeable and will talk through the problems, including pointing them out, and possible solutions. The folks were super nice and responsive and helped me get everything addressed quickly. Now that it's all said and done though, I am not sure if it was worth the money. Hoping it's just buyers remorse from spending a lot of money, but it will genuinely depend how well it works on the second floor. Side note that bothered me personally: their website also claims to offer 0% financing which is not true anymore, personally don't love that they didn't remove that. It's a big deceiving and their 0% financing was one of the reasons I picked them.
