The technician has come now three times as this second remote I was wanting does not work to close the door. I should mention I needed a second on short notice or I would have bought one at hardware and programmed had I had the time. While they came promptly the tech Johnny Sanchez first did not test it at all except standing in driveway. His second visit after it working was for me to stand in front of door out of car and while it was still problematic it did work once so within five minutes he was gone. I once again called elite garage and door as I have been without an operable new opener now for one week plus. Johnny Sanchez returned to trouble shoot, had to call their tech and his final statement was that I could either have light sensor work and no opener or he could take bulbs out. As far as I know he didn't troubleshoot in any other ways as google suggests. He was gone in fifteen minutes. His statements about this when I said if it had been stated from outset is that I wouldn't have paid for the new remote and programming (it's a time and convenience factor I'd think to call them as opposed to doing myself) for it not to work for over a week. His response was that he would not take new remote nor could he refund and said company would not do this. I then called the office to just update that service was not rendered in manner that proposed a new or working solution. She 'retorted' ( yes nasty tone) 'well, we've been out there three times and can't refund.' I wouldn't recommend. We don't even want to give them a full star. We were extremely disappointed in the treatment we received by the service man "Johnny Sanchez". He was rude and condescending and just kept saying our garage door opener wasn't under warranty and I had all the paperwork to prove that it was. (For another 5 years more on the motor and 10 more on the belt) When I tried to explain, he wouldn't listen. He just kept saying, "I'm not here to argue with you." I tried to explain from our perspective and he wouldn't listen. He just kept saying over and over...I'm not going to argue with you. It upset me. The least Johnny could have done was to offer to call and speak with a manager to try to sort things out. BUT he didn't. I was so frustrated. I even had documentation and a persons name from the elite office in 2022 that said our warranty was in file and all Johnny said to me was, "There isn't even a person with that name that works there." Basically, he was calling me a liar. Johnny was so rude. He took his ladder down and threw it in the back of his vehicle. I said, "Aren't you going to fix it?" He said, "There's nothing wrong with it. It just squeaks and makes a noise you don't like." He got in his vehicle and sped down the street. THEN...to make matters worse...I received an email confirmation from the service call and he forged my signature that I was satisfied...which was a total lie!!!! I didn't sign anything. Remember, he flung his ladder into his vehicle and took off in a huff!!! SO...when I received the forged email...I immediately called Elite Garage Doors and asked to speak with the manager. I was told they would have to email them, and they would reach out to me. I waited 2 full days and I haven't heard anything...so today...I called back again first thing this morning. Day 3 of being promised a call back. It is now 4:05pm and the managers are done at 4:00pm...so 3 FULL DAYS AND A MANAGER HAS NOT CALLED ME!!!! I owned my own business for over 20 years. I am not happy with elite garage doors. My garage door is loud when it opens and closes and for the price I paid I don't get Wi-Fi opening from my phone like my friend does at his home, nor can I sync the remotes with my cars. You shouldn't use the name "elite" if your garage doors and electrical boxes are below subpar. Do better... wish I didn't choose this company. read more

This was the precision garage now it's called Elite. The technician was good but after his work done I found multiple issue incomplete that I point out to him, he was fast in addressing the issue but a diligent and meticulous technician should not be asked by the customer to fix the work his already done. I feel this company is greedy in marking the pricing of their work and product. They fix my garage door and asked me to pay $900 for a Hinges fix is ridiculous and a scam. I understand a company need some profit but not robbing you in front of your face. I end up taking their options since I need my garage fix and I don't have time to get other company to check but I already get some quote and it's was low from them it's like 85%lower than Elite. Buyer Beware! I property manage a home in Tucson for my friend who is in another state. We had incoming guests to the house, and the property gate quit working. The unit says Elite on it, so my friend called Elite Garage Doors and Gates - as this could have been their proprietary equipment. Jared came quickly and understood the necessity of speedy service. I met him and was impressed. Elite required a credit card prior to beginning service. Jared quickly diagnosed the unit and said the Battery that was only a year old, was bad. He said he'd put in a new one - but if the whole unit was bad, the battery would stop working in a week. I signed a whole lot of authorizations for the work to commence and financial responsibility. Within 5 minutes, with a new battery in, the gate worked perfectly! Fast forward - My girlfriend gets a charge for $700.00 for the battery and diagnosing the problem! Jared wasn't on site very long, and it was a simple fix... While Jared was still on site, my automated phone system prompted for the 5 * review, which I gave erroneously. One week to the day, the gate stops moving. Jared, comes back quickly, and says the gate needs all new equipment - to the tune of $5,800.00. A quick cursory search online shows the most expensive unit @ $1,800.00 with all the bells and whistles (their product is actually Lift Master). It would just require placing the box on the pad and plugging it in and they are going to charge 4k in labor? Really??? I suggested we buy the online unit and have my handyman install it for $50.00 per hour charge. Instead, my smart friend sought a second opinion, and called Larry with the amazing MOVING GATE SYSTEMS, who came out to the property, and said the BATTERY EXPIRES 2022! was this the original battery? Did they slip by a week later? did Jared not actually replace it? In addition, it wasn't properly & safely installed and hooked up with electrical caps! Larry's total charge for the service call, including the Bonafide NEW BATTERY safely installed was $160.00. THE GATE SYSTEM DOES NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED, IT WORKS PERFECTLY! ELITE GARAGE DOORS AND GATES is a complete SCAM. Please, BUYER BEWARE do not utilize their services. read more

Adding this review to warn potential customers. We called Elite because one of the single bay garage doors in my family's three car garage had a broken spring. The technician quoted just under $800 to replace the spring and two side cables along with labor. Upon completing the work he told me the motor's logic board was fried and that we would need to replace the motor and all of the work he just finished -- not only did he not try and make that verification beforehand, he had the nerve to sell more labor/parts. We had another, more professional and competent company come the following day and they were able to reprogram the motor and it works perfectly. This company does business terribly and you shouldn't even consider them for work in your home. read more
