I text the detailer at 5pm on Thursday asking his eta because he never contacted me. He said his detail is over and he has to reschedule because the sun is setting. I hit him up a little while later for my restoration 1970 Landcruiser that was in absolute shambles. We talked it out. Agreed on scope and rough budget, color and materials, and some personal requests that make the project special to me. 2 weeks later I dropped my car off and he got to work. Brian and his team have communicated well, providing updates, pictures of work completed, and when problems arose, communicated and helped provide insight on what to look for while sourcing replacement parts. Time wise I have been blown away at what they have accomplished in just under a month. We still aren't done yet, but I have worked with a bunch of shops and suppliers on my restoration adventure and B-rods has been the best of who I worked with, (winning out over 4 other body shops I had gone to chat with about the project). They are confident, competent, and communicate well on those tricky situations (specifically for me when it was discovered that my body was in much worse shape than previously known- which he also walked me through and did say he could repair it but was upfront about the cost of repair vs replace). His shop may not have the glamor of the shops with the built in bars and rotary display rooms, but his work is solid, his experience speaks for itself (ask him about his drag builds), and the way he works is refreshing compared to other service providers I've worked with.
