In over 30 years of car ownership, this has been my worst service experience. In May 2025, I took my Audi to Bluewater Performance because it's close to home and had good reviews. They diagnosed a warning light as a burned-out bulb and also replaced my spark plugs and ignition coils. That visit went smoothly. In June 2025, I returned for an alignment after installing new tires. They performed a courtesy inspection and gave me a list of recommended repairs totaling around $4,600 (engine mounts and lower control arms were the main items). When I asked more questions, I was told these weren't urgent, which raised some concerns for me about the recommendations. In September 2025, my car developed a serious issue while driving on the highway, and I brought it back. After their diagnosis, I was told they couldn't pinpoint the exact problem but recommended several expensive services (transmission fluid flush, transmission oil pump replacement, fuel injectors replacement, carbon clean) to "see if it would fix it." After weeks of waiting, I picked the car up. I was told it was running great. Within an hour, the original issue reappeared and there was now an additional noticeable humming sound. I took the car to another repair shop, where they found the car was misfiring due to a failed ignition coil (which Bluewater had previously replaced). They fixed the issue the same day for $250. After driving the car a couple more days, the transmission went out. Returning it to the other shop, it was noted the transmission fluid was low and soiled. This raised questions in my mind about the previous fluid service and electric transmission oil pump replacement I had been charged for. Thousands of dollars later, with a new transmission, the humming sound went away. Additionally, the customer service experience at Bluewater Performance was inconsistent. One front-desk rep had always been courteous, but the other -- who helped me most often -- was unfriendly and disengaged. When I picked up my car for the final time, I said hello and tried to be polite, but he was barely responsive. This interaction left me feeling dismissed at a time when I was already frustrated and stressed. My experience with Bluewater Performance was deeply disappointing and costly. I'm sharing this to help other consumers make informed decisions when choosing a repair shop. read more

Excellent experience here. I had Bluewater do an upgrade from APR Stage 1+ to Unitronic Stage 2 on an Audi RS3. They installed the downpipe/midpipe (which is a really involved install) and did the software updates. I plan to take my car back to them for all service in the future. Wish I had started out here instead, but hindsight is hindsight Really friendly and helpful staff, you can tell that they are all car enthusiasts for sure. The service website is great, too. Detailed updates, chat forum for questions, pricing and approve/deny for extras like changing the cabin air filter, etc. Easy access to the shop from I25 or I76, nice location. Upfront quote that was pretty spot on, (they found some additional issues while under the car so we got that worked out as well), and they used a couple of parts I had bought online without any of the push back you'd normally get from a shop. Great communication, they take the time to explain the whats what, quick response times via email and phone, fair competitive pricing over the stealership, very knowledgeable (without google!) about my M3 make model, issues, manufacturing defects, and pain points. I took my 01 s4 Avant there for their " professional German knowledge" on a brake issue I could not figure out. 3600$ later I found out they didn't know where to go with it or how to diagnose the issue. They then told me all they wanted to do was throw parts at it. I was very upset to say the least and was even more upset when I was able to figure out the issue in my garage in just 20 min. They had also replaced the brake master cylinder in the car and ended up flipping the seal so I had to replace it. when I pulled the master cylinder I found they had damaged it when installing it as well as they didn't put my fender liner back in and they gave one of my brand new tires a flat spot and would not compensate for any of the damages. To say the least they are not German car specialists and should stick to oil changes and flash tunes for the newer cars. read more

Bluewater Performance is my go-to for all of my Audi and Volkswagen needs. My cars always get the greatest care, and the service is always professional and welcoming. There is a nice waiting room with a Keurig and ice cold water, as well as a large television to keep the boredom away while you're waiting on your vehicle. The staff is knowledgeable and the technicians always make detailed lists of your car's needs. Bluewater also specializes in modifications for your vehicle including tuning and suspension. While I haven't used these services yet, I'll be sure to take my car there if I want to modify anything. There is also a Dyno at the shop! They installed H&R rear springs & adjusted rusted-tight front torsion bars (adjacent to gas tank; had to be torch-loosened). Bluewater came in clutch for me today on a Friday afternoon. I had installed my downpipe on my MK7 GTI earlier in the morning and was struggling around town trying to find a shop that would flash a stage 2 APR tune for me. After calling 2 other shops and them pushing me to the following week saying they couldn't fit me in on short notice for a simple 20 min flash. Let's be honest, it's extremely hard to find a quality auto repair shop that is honest and trustworthy. I've been through it all with my VW and have taken it to countless places to get it repaired, the oil changed, new tires, brakes, etc.. I want to give a few examples of why I love this repair shop. The staff/technicians are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and truly made me feel like they would not let me leave with a car that they did not feel was 100%. I originally had a problem with my coolant system not working properly and also needed a new serpentine belt. I took it to a dealership and was quoted $1300 for the two repairs. When I asked for a breakdown of pricing they wanted $300 for the Serpentine belt(just the part which is $28 at Napa), $500 for the parts that needed to be replaced for the coolant system and $500 for the labor all while saying it would take 3 weeks to get it done(1 week to get parts from Germany?)! I decided to call an old friend who is a VW fanatic and asked if he could recommend any shops in the area that would do a good job. He told me to call Gabe and go check out Bluewater Performance and I did. Now here is what blew me away, when I asked Gabe how much he thought it would be to fix it he said "around $370" and knowing nothing about cars I asked him for the total price of everything, not just the price of the belt minus the labor. He looked at me again and said it would be around $370 for the parts and labor to fix my coolant problem and replace the serpentine belt. I was dumbfounded and told him to quit messing with me. Keep in mind here that I know absolutely nothing about cars and wanted a serious answer, he wasn't kidding! He told me it would take a couple of days and around what I would be paying, so I left my car there for the repairs. Now what usually happens to me is I'm quoted one thing and called a few hours later telling me I need to shell out more because of a mix up. I was waiting for that call and it never came until the next day. When I answered the phone what I had come to expect from previous experiences is that I would be told I owe more than I was quoted and that they need more time, well it was Gabe and he told me my car was ready to be picked up. Again I thought something has got to go wrong! I caught a ride to the shop expecting the worst. When I arrived Gabe and one of his techs brought me to my car and showed me what they did and explained how they did it, all the while I was still waiting for the bad news. He walked me up to the front and surely in my mind I thought this is where it's going to happen, this is where they were wrong and that I would owe significantly more than what I was told. Yet again I was fooled by Gabe and his crew, not only was my car done faster than what he had said but I was also well within his quoted price range. Bluewater had saved me 3 weeks of waiting and nearly $1000. I have since recommended Bluewater to everyone I know who owns a VW or Audi whether they asked me if I knew of a place or not. I really enjoyed my experience I had there and expect to bring my car to them if I ever need anything else done. I highly recommend that before you get screwed over by somebody else take your VW or Audi to Gabe at Bluewater to see what he says. I bet you will be amazed like I was! read more

This place was recommended by a couple of guy acquaintances who drive Audis or beamers. They did my brakes and were much cheaper than the dealer. I noticed how knowledgeable they are and even though I don't know anything about cars I felt like I could trust them. I took one of their glass stickers in the color pink and is now the quarter glass of my car :) I love the logo it's awesome why would I not want that on my car!!! The owner has the same car as me which makes me feel even more comfortable coming here since he knows what I have to deal with when ever I need to take it in!! I was looking for a place to service my BMW 328xi over the long run. When my blower fan stopped working, I ordered a replacement fan that I was going to install myself. I ran out of time before a cross country road trip, so I took it to Bluewater to perform the work. They quoted me $120 for labor and happily agreed to install the fan that I could no longer return. When I showed up to pick up my vehicle, they said the time to perform the service took less than they anticipated, so the charge was only $109. This was a great experience for me in servicing my BMW for the first time, and so I will definitely go back to Bluewater. read more
