Dirty & very unprofessional. I had my nails done and they were done horribly I don't reccomend at all. They need to start with cleaning the salon up & properly training the techs. Won't be returning. I normally go to a different salon but I tried out Nail Expo because I was here once before and had good service. Everyone was nice and accommodated me. I got an ANC with soak off and a regular pedi. I got these done on a Tuesday afternoon, but by Thursday morning, almost all of the polish flaked off of my toes. My tech also left more ANC product on my skin than she did my nail. When I got home I immediately went to file them and fix them because there was no shaping for the curve of the nail. The skin around my nail also had to be pulled off of the cured ANC, and there were some nails that just looked horrible on the sides. Overall I'm really disappointed with the quality of service received for a $77 bill before tip, when other places cost less. Because of this, I don't think I'll be back. read more

She takes her time and doesn't rush through the appointment. She is so detailed that everything comes out PERFECT. The place itself is clean and quiet, and the tools are sterilized. Decided to try nail expo in watervliet today. My friend and I had two very different experiences. We called ahead for a 3 pm appointment. She was getting nails and I was getting pedicure. We only sat for a few minutes before she was directed to the nail station. And I went to the back where pedicures were done. The gentleman walked over to where I was and filled the tub.. Water was lukewarm. Told me someone would be with me. No problem.I just sat there and played with my phone. Half an hour later.. The water was cold. I added hot water myself. The girl next to me looked at me, but the workers said nothing.. i waited a little bit more, got bored and decided to put a clear coat on my finger nails.. still nothing from any workers.. 45 mins in.. I told my friend I was getting annoyed through text.. She said something to the nail tech, and he proceeded to say something to the other workers. But no one did anything.. so after another fifteen minutes.. Which totaled an hour of me sitting they're soaking my feet.. I dried them off and told her I was going someplace else.. As I walked past the desk.. The girl said five more minutes.. I said, i've been sitting there for an hour.. And proceeded to walk out... if I had not been ignored the entire hour.. If someone would have checked on the water to make sure at least I was comfortable in warm water..instead of cold.. or at least let me know that someone was coming instead of just leaving me there hanging.. maybe I would have waited.. but, to say nothing and to leave my feet in cold water.. To me is not good service. They knew we had came together.. So we expected to be able to leave around the same time.. but her service was almost complete, and mine had not even begun. They were busy.. And look like not enough techs. So why take 2 appointments at the same time? If they could not complete the service in a timely fashion.. she called me after her service was done.. Was very pleased with her nails, but was not pleased with the interaction. She had with a worker and a customer who decided.. To voice their opinion about me leaving.. it had nothing to do with her and none of her business. At no point, did anyone apologize for delayed service.. Asking if I was okay, or checking the temperature of the water. If they had given me a little common courtesy, maybe i would have waited. So no I do not recommend this place, they are unprofessional, and unorganized. read more

I called around 2:30 pm on a Thursday to see if they were open for a gel pedicure. They accommodated me and I was being serviced as soon as I got in. I didn't realize this at first, but my "gel" pedicure was just a regular pedicure with normal polish. I am familiar with the polish brand the tech was using because I do my own nails at home when I do my hands. The bottle she was using on me was a regular bottle, and I didn't realize this until I got home, looked at my personal collection, and saw the brand of gel she was using was the regular polish version. I had the actual gel version of this brand. I was really disappointed. Also, when I saw my nails in natural light, I saw that on my left big toe there is such a glob of polish that it left a weird shape and completely messed up the quality of the pedicure. The polish everywhere else is very thin and not gel like, which leads me to my conclusion that this isn't gel polish. I spent an extra $15 for gel only to get a $30 pedicure worth for an up charge that wasn't even added on. I will be disputing this charge on my credit card. read more

The experience I got was unwanted. It's sad because she did a good job on my toe nails...just my toe nails. I did not tip her as well and will not be going back. What happened was I went in last week to just get a pedicure. It's obviously gonna cost me money because I do gel on my toes and I work on my feet so I wanted the most expensive treatment that was like $80+ because the gel and my color choices and the massage. This lady got up from her chair and did the most ungrateful huffing noise like she didn't want to do it after I told her what treatment it was going to be.......it was obvious she did it because another customer noticed getting a mani and looked at me while I looked out the store window and she wasn't gonna say anything because I'm a grown ass woman I can speak. So I changed the pedicure to a simple $30 one. My feet was already soaking in the water by this time so she did my nails and she rushed through it....which I don't know why because me(Pedi) and 2 other ladies who was getting a mani was in the building besides the cute dog walking back and forth. I was in need of a nail salon as I wasn't thrilled with my previous one. I decided to try nail expo and I'm amazed I definitely found my new place! What would typically take about an hour and half took about 45 minutes (for removal and new anc) which was awesome!! The staff is very kind, detailed oriented and clean. My nails look amazing I will 100% only be going here for now on. They also have a huge color selection which surprised me. Also booking apts is so easy through their website. Nice place and they are super quick. My gel manicure only lasted about a week before the first cracking/chip but still worth it for $35.

This is our regular pedicure spot. My friends and I come at least once a month as our girls day. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. We get gel pedicures and they last a long time. I haven't had my nails done here so I can't speak to that, but the pedicures are great. read more

i first reviewed this salon over 6 years ago after a bad experience with an important appointment. i moved away and then moved back and decided to try again and im so glad i did. its under new management and theyre doing awesome work. ive been back twice and had two of the best gel manicures ive ever had. the shape of my nails is perfect. the color i wanted wasnt available so eric mixed 3 layers of colors and gave me exactly the shade i wanted. i think it came out even better than if i went with the color i picked first. ive gotten so many compliments on my nails and theres not even a design, its just a solid color. after 2 weeks theres not one chip on my left had and only 2 really small ones on my right hand thats not even noticeable. usually after 2 weeks i have to go back in because the gel is chipping all over and i start picking it off and ruin my nails. these could easily make it to 3 weeks. im so happy to have found my new regular nail salon and i wouldnt go anywhere else now. read more

Save yourself. The nail tech that was supposed to do my nails had to run out. So here I am...my nails already soaked off. I would have been ok with it being done later if they could have said that to begin with. But no, bad time management. So Katie ended up doing mine. Rushed throughout the whole thing, while huffing and puffing the whole entire time, making me feel unwanted and some tension. I picked a solid color. She finishes... three nails have imperfections and she says "that's how the color is sometime" and I said oh?? That's the first time I'm hearing that. Maybe you should tell your clients next time before picking a color. And she says "you're not my client" and I said " it doesn't matter if you are or aren't, you don't leave customers unhappy" and she ignores me and tells me to go wash my hands. Please, someone, anybody, tell me the queen of passive aggressive does exist! I was mad to the highest heavens and I waited patiently and she said she would not fix them cause she has clients with appointments waiting (as I was a client with an appointment). Very friendly salon with well spoken English. The staff mostly refrains from conversing among themselves in their native language, which is customer appreciated. (No one wants to feel they are the subject of convo.) The only negative to mention is "rushed" services with Eric. He's so fast you always feel like a number in line. It would also be great to get the hand and neck massage offered in other area salons with the manicure services. read more

I've been going to Nail Expo in Clifton Park for over 10 years. Even though appointments are now needed due to COVID, I love this place. It's clean, the technicians always check if I'm ok, they have lots of colors and nail services, they don't rush through your appointment - so don't mistake abruptness for attention. First off the staff is super friendly (and includes a six month old Frenchie) I felt extremely welcome and comfortable. Service was prompt and the gentleman who did my nails was very tentative. I gave him a pretty intricate design and he did it in under an hour and a half! He took extra care to make sure everything was symmetrical and asked if I was okay or unhappy with anything. Unfortunately the shop was dirty , water was cold , wires and plugs were open for all to see .Not only were our pedicures lumpy and rough , we noticed white spots on our nails later on indicating white superficial onychomycosis fungus . i agree the salon is a hidden gem! was peeping around different plazas (that i haven't tried yet...) on route to walmart, obviously AVOIDING the nail place in walmart indefinitely. nail expo owners work is effortless, flawless and atmosphere quiet. none of the bicker bicker that gives me a headache during a pedi when im trying to relax. just flawless side to side up and down smooth and clean under the nail and around (i used to inspect the each nail meticulously, obviously not anymore) i dont have to worry about anything. i like my morning/afternoon spot. yes i have a spot ehhemm. honestly i go once a week for a color change. i'd rather spend on a good job to feel pretty more often; also the prices are competitive for the quality. this is it right here. end of search. read more
