Negative Crown Replacement Experience and Billing Issue…read more As a first-time patient, I came to this office to proactively replace a partially damaged crown. The affected tooth was asymptomatic (no pain/sensitivity) beforehand. Following the temporary crown fitting during the first visit, and then after the final new crown fitting later, I experienced persistent pain and discomfort that did not subside. Given my past positive experience with multiple successful crowns by other dentists, this outcome was unexpected and I lost confidence in this dentist quickly, especially after this issue necessitated a subsequent unexpected root canal and implant for the same tooth by other dental professionals. Furthermore, as I believed I was overcharged for the crown replacement, I filed a formal complaint with my dental insurance, and after their review of the bill, I was able to secure a $673 refund.

She's kind, reassuring, and didn't dismiss my fears. She took the time to answer every question and made sure I was okay. The follow-ups afterward were just as impressive. I needed a crown at the second appointment. They knocked everything out in one visit. No temporary crown, no coming back, no extra hassle. I'll happily trade an extra hour for having to rearrange my schedule for a second appointment. A huge shout-out to the front office staff. Instead of just running my insurance (and credit card!) and calling it a day, they actually worked to find the most cost effective option for me. The fact they played the "Insurance Game" (which is the worst game ever invented) shows that they care. The office is clean and incredibly organized. Scheduling was easy, and despite being a busy practice, everything felt well run. A couple of minor drawbacks: they're definitely on the pricier side, but I truly think the quality of care and convenience justify it. Also, the treatment areas are separated by dividers instead of walls, so if the person next to you is giving their life story to the hygienist... congratulations, you're part of the conversation too. It creates a busier atmosphere and doesn't offer as much privacy as a traditional office. TLDR: Yes. This is the place you want to go.

I would not recommend him at all. He took a big chunk out of my tongue during a crown removal. The assistant blamed it on my tongue moving around during the procedure. I said, so the next patient is going to be told that there is a good chance a chunk of tongue will be taken out during a crown removal? They finally decided to use a tongue depressor to hold my tongue down and keep my tongue out of the way. Their excuse was that they did not anticipate the movement. What is this, the first time they have done this? Then the assistance kept running out of the office to get things. Why were they not prepared for all the tools and items they needed before I got there? There were more issues but I'm only going to concentrate on two: the chunk of tongue they took out and the disorganization. I'm not going back until Dr. Nguyen comes back.
