It is difficult for me to write an unbiased review of Elite Placement Group considering the over the top wonderful experience I had. From my very first interaction with them, to subsequent positions and follow up consultations; John, Cyndi, Nathan and Krystle have gone above and beyond for me as a job seeker, and employee. Fortunately for any future candidates, my experience is not unique, and I have witnessed the Elite team place many people in both temporary positions, as well as direct hire positions. My own experience with Elite consisted of me submitting my resume seeking temporary placement for about a six month period while waiting to begin my Master's degree. They responded to me within the day, and were ready to schedule an appointment to see me the very next day. I arrived for my appointment where I was greeted with amazingly friendly, honest, and helpful recruiters who all took the time to introduce themselves to me, and by the end of my meeting had two positions in mind for me. Later that day they reached out and confirmed me for a short term position. I worked on a large assignment with a number of fellow Elite temps, all of whom were great, and I enjoyed working with all of them as well as for the company at which we were placed. While I was wrapping up my first temporary assignment I made sure to email Elite and notify them that I would be free to pursue other opportunities at the close of the assignment, after which I received a call just two days later offering me a long term position with them. This time I worked at the Elite office itself as administrative coordinator. During my six months at Elite I made wonderful friends, and was privileged to work with fun, honest, hard working people who continuously replicated my positive experience with them for the many candidates that came in. Having witnessed the inner workings of Elite firsthand I can honestly say that the recruiters will take the time to look at EVERY resume that comes their way. Additionally, as they did for me, I have seen the recruiters at Elite try their hardest to place their candidates in a position that they think will be a good fit for not just client but for that candidate as well. They took the time to assist me, as well as many other individuals, to not just find a job where I was happy on a long term basis, but also consistently followed up to make sure their employees were happy, and to offer new opportunities that became available. Even if you are not as lucky as me to be given the chance to work alongside the great people at Elite in their office, then I can promise you that if you have the qualifications, they WILL find you a position where you will be happy, and not give up until you find the job you are searching for. If I could give one star I would. This place is an absolute JOKE!!!! I met with Cyndi more than a year ago, my credentials are highly desired and they were NEVER able to even get me a phone interview!!! My initial meeting with her went great and I felt optimistic, then NOTHING. I reached out often and received no response. Forget about getting her on the phone, they do not respond to emails or phone calls. The positive reviews on here are probably fakes and the valid ones must be friends of the agency. Not sure how you make money there, as one reviewer put it at least you could have the decency to let your candidates know what type of feedback you are getting from clients and figure out a game plan to secure positions for those qualified. Don't forget YOU MAKE MONEY OFF OF US!!! Treat us like it, glad I signed up with many other agencies who were much more successful in finding me work. I will never recommend your company to anyone, which is not good for your business as your candidates are often times the decision makers when it comes to picking an employment agency to meet their current companies staff requirements. I was contacted by John Howard regarding an Account Manager job that looked very promising. I went to the office and talked with him. He was nice, and did say that the company would probably be a great match for me. He said he was close with them and would get back in touch with me in a few days, after he had a chance to talk to the hiring manager. He said that if it didn't work, he had other opportunities that were probably good matches as well. That was the end of it. No calls, no emails, and he was unreachable. Big fat waste of time. I stayed with my current job another few years. This all happened a few years ago when the job market was bad, due to the recession. I later moved on to better things. I guess I just wasn't 'elite' enough for them or something. Fine; but don't waste my time by contacting me about jobs and then stop all communication as if I never existed. I moved to LA immediately after college and found that the job market was tough, maybe even tougher than everyone warns you. After the frustration of applying for months on my own, I tried a number of different temp and employment agencies, but it was just never the right fit and the assignments I was receiving were so few and far between that there was no way I could survive on that income alone. It felt like I was sending out hundreds of resumes and getting nowhere. Then I got a call from Krystle at Elite Placement Group, requesting that I come in for an interview. As I mentioned, I'd interviewed with temp and employment agencies before, so I thought I knew the drill. You come in, fill out some forms, wait around, take typing and Microsoft Office skill assessments and then meet with an uninterested recruiter for 15 minutes. When I came to Elite, it was a completely different experience. The office was much warmer and welcoming than any agency I'd been to before. I was seen right away and even offered water. Krystle was very engaged in our conversation and the interview covered not only my past experience but also what I was looking to do, what my career goals were, what sort of office environment I was comfortable working in--even what areas of the city I could reasonably access for a daily commute! That would've been a totally refreshing experience in and of itself, but once we had finished the interview, Krystle brought in her colleagues John, Nathan and Cyndi to meet me briefly and get a sense of what my situation was. They were caring, professional and very knowledgeable about the LA job market and the reality of finding a good fit. I really felt like each of them was invested in my success and was actually willing to help (and not just offer lip service, as is so customary down here). Sure enough, within a few weeks, Krystle called me again with a long-term temp opportunity paying almost double what I had become accustomed to making. And it wasn't packing envelopes or data entry or heavy lifting--it was something I can actually put on my resume to demonstrate my abilities and advance my career. I'm glad if they have helped other people, but after reading the reviews I sent in my resume (through their website, as they requested), called a week later to check on my status, was told I would get a call back that day...and heard exactly nothing. This is despite having four years of experience at a company that is relocating (hence, my unemployment is not due to poor performance on my part) and extensive office experience. Maybe they did not have any positions for which I would be a good fit, but after reading the raves here I would have thought they would at least have had the courtesy to let me know, or encourage me to check back in a while, or *something*. I worked with John and Cyndi at Elite. They are really really nice people and helped me find a job shortly after I started working with them. They were both very excited about the job they had in mind for me. They prepared me very well for the types of questions I would be asked at my interview and even helped me formulate my answers to those questions (some of the questions were a little, uh, uncommon)! John and Cyndi were both very responsive to emails I sent them and wanted to make sure I was happy. I made it clear that I was not interested in temp jobs, and they never tried to push me towards any (unlike other placement companies). I only interviewed for one job while I was working with them and was offered it. John encouraged me to take it, and I was a little suspicious since I hadn't interviewed for anything else, but once I started working, I understood that he had been totally right about how wonderfully the company treated their employees. If I could give this company no stars I would. I am surprised by the other positive ratings. I called this company after reading these reviews to check that my lengthy work history and experience and work requirements would be of interest and suited to the company. I was told it was and to email my resume which I did the same day. As I hadn't heard from them in a couple of weeks I decided to chase them up and check that they had actually received my email. I was told by the girl who answered the phone that the company receives lots of resumes and that when a job comes up that fits my resume someone would get back in touch with me. Great - except no one had a conversation with me to ask what areas of work I was interested in and what kind of time scale I would like to work (i.e long and short term temping) so how would you be able to place me successfully? That email/phone call was over three months ago and I have heard nothing since. Note to Elite - Shouldn't you be as professional, if not more so, than the people you hope to represent and work for you? I would have expected and appreciated a standard email to say you received my resume at the very least and I would have hoped for at least one telephone call to follow up. Absolutely a waste of time and I would definitely not recommend them in the slightest. read more

I went to Elite Placement Group's website and followed their instructions for submitting a resume to get in contact with one of their agents. After a week or so I had not heard from them, so I called and asked if there was something else I needed to do. the woman on the phone confirmed the email I sent my resume to, and told me that if there was a job I was qualified for I would have already heard back. So their policy is simply to not acknowledge or speak to anyone they don't have an immediate position for. It's a poor business practice, as is not having a single job, temp or otherwise, available to place someone with corporate analysis experience and a mathematics degree from UCLA. 1 star is too generous. read more

At first, I actually had a really good experience here. I met with Nathan at their office and then was sent on a few interviews. I hadn't heard anything from them in about a week after an interview, so I decided to contact them to follow up and never got a response. I never even heard from them again regarding any other interviews or the interviews that I had been on. It was total radio silence. I also worked with the Career Group which actually kept in contact with me. I applied to one of their Craigslist ads for a specific position, got a prompt response, and continued along with their process which included a short phone call, followed by a FaceTime interview, completion of their application, and finally (only like 2 days later), an interview with the company. Nathan is terrific! I have been registered with a couple of temp agencies, however Elite Placement has certainly lived up to their name for me. I have worked on assigments with well established brand names in entertainment, advertising and financial industries. I have worked on and off with them for several years and Nathan doesn't hesitate to get me back out there when I send him the "I'm available" email regardless of the last time I've worked. He has always been professional and kind; the receptionists have always been polite and professional as well. Assignments have been on the slower end for many temp agencies for a couple of years now, in addition there are more individuals registered than before due to the economy, however would still recommend "hanging in there" and registering with this agency if you're contemplating where to go. It is the best that I've dealt with thus far and have no issues referring to them as they appear just as solid now as they were when I registered back in 2006! read more

There is something about being hired for a new position that feels similar to a kid on Christmas morning...who just woke up to a new car, and a phone, and trip to Cabo. At least that's how I feel right now, and I have to give credit to Krystal, Cyndi, and Nathan at Elite Placement Group for that. I applied to a job posting regarding an admin position and was called by Krystal, who told me I looked like a good fit for the position and had me come in and meet with her the next day. From the moment I walked in to their office, everyone was so warm and personable and I immediately knew I was in good hands. Krystal and I talked about my resume and what I was looking for in a position. She told me about a second position she thought I would be good fit for and brought in Cyndi and Nathan to tell me about the details of each position. I left being told that they would contact both companies to set me up with an interview. An hour later, I received emails informing me that I had interviews for both positions. The email they sent gave tips on how to dress and to make sure you prep (As you should for all interviews. Knowledge is power!), and requested that I call them after the interview to let them know how it went. That next day, I went to my first interview and I absolutely loved the position and felt like it was a perfect fit, at a great company. I immediately called and talked to Nathan and let him know how it went and how I felt. Not even an hour later, Cyndi called me back saying she had got a call from the employer and that they were interested in me.
