We all know Covid has us looking for a new way to travel. This is what brought us to Elite RV rentals for our adventure. Was simple to search the options that fit our needs. Reservations were an online breeze. Pickup was as simple as it could've been. The trailer towed great, was super clean, and served our needs well. We are just trying the camping thing and has a seedless three day trip to Southern AZ to see some awesome sights. We parked the trailer and headed to Whitewater Draw and to Bisbee one day and Chiricahua National Park the next. Was an awesome way to travel. DO NOT GO HERE. From the very beginning this was not a good experience. When the employee gave us the rundown of how things work, he left out quite a few important things that would've been nice to know. The sink was broken and leaking water when turned on, the shower leaked water everywhere when turned on, the refrigerator didn't cool anything at all in fact it was only slightly cooler than the outside temperature. Driving down the road, the RV rides so terribly it makes everything make noises. Going up a slight incline is next to impossible in the RV we had which might be normal for an RV. I was told we will be receiving some sort of credit after one employee talks to the owner in 24 hours. The experience was so bad we stayed in a hotel the last two nights of having the RV and brought it back a day early. read more

Save yourself the frustration and go to another business. They rent out the RVs on consignment and don't care if it's clean or in good condition. We even had trouble getting the ignition started because there was a magic security button on it that ony worked by playing with wires behind the console. We had to take it to a dealership to get it fixed and had to pay for the repair. Eventually we were reimbursed after fighting for it. The men in charge knew of our issues but seemed too preoccupied to care. Thankfully the AC, heat and fridge worked. Their website says their RVs are in pristine condition. The pictures were not accurate When you sign the contract, you agree to accept the RV "As is" which let's them give you whatever they want. Renter beware! read more

I think Elite is awesome. I would def rent from them again. I rented for Country Thunder & they have a lot of units at the festival & are available to handle issues. One year with a different company my generator never turned on & they gave me a $200 credit. Beto is avail and came out repaired/cleaned my generator issue & generator worked great. What a great experience. From starting the reservation, on a weekend, the staff has great communication. The trailer was extremely clean and everything worked perfectly. Renter beware. 2016 Winnebago Itasca Sunstar Pros: * Accommodating when we requested to pick up the RV a day early * Dakota was amiable and thorough during check-out of the vehicle * Masks were worn by staff * Offered a full refund due to defective vehicle and unable to reach the destination Cons: * During the COVID-19 pandemic, we determined that renting an RV was the safest way to get from AZ to visit family in SC. Instead, our family was put in harm's way, AND we were unable to reach our destination because the Sunstar was not adequately maintained. We were upfront with Elite RV about the kind of trip we planned to make. * The generator was our main issue, as it shut off after 30 minutes or less of the vehicle being in motion. That means there was no air conditioning in the back, during a heatwave, with two small children. At times my wife and kids were all sitting in the front seat because the chassis was the only place with A/C, not a safe option. * The Elite RV rental staff was tough to get ahold of, even in our dire need for maintenance. Both voicemails were always full, and it would sometimes take hours to get a text response. Nothing is more frustrating when you're in the middle of New Mexico, desperate for some help. They should have a dedicated service line. * After two unsuccessful attempts for generator service and being told that nobody had or could obtain the necessary parts, Elite RV kept saying they would keep trying to find someone to service it. It was never offered up for them to find a replacement vehicle to make it to our destination. The only safe option was to drive 10 hours back to Phoenix overnight so we could open the windows and keep the family cool enough to travel with no A/C. * Upon return, we were offered a refund for the vehicle's full rental cost, but no additional concessions were made for the $1500+ expenses we incurred out of pocket. We spent money on fuel (this vehicle got about five mpg, just FYI) and non-refundable RV park reservations, and Elite RV rentals were not willing to reimburse us for any of it or offer any credit for a future booking. We were told that they couldn't have fixed all of the broken items because there was only one day between rentals. A respectable company would have built-in time to properly maintain the vehicle between rentals, rather than making as much money as possible from vulnerable customers who were trying to reach family during a pandemic safely. There is no way they could make up for the fact that we could not visit my parents, who are in the high-risk age category for COVID-19. My kids could not see their grandparents this summer because Elite RV didn't provide us with a safe vehicle to do so. * There were many other damaged or poorly maintained areas of the RV, as seen in the pictures. Included are: Huge vertical crack down the entire span of the windshield, many windshield cracks, missing A/C vent in chassis, stained carpet, wire over air return in front of the passenger seat, missing Range Cover, missing Freezer shelves, dent in tabletop, broken lighting over the table, a missing shade over the couch (so no privacy at night without makeshift window cover), broken drawer under bunks, missing toilet lid, dirty vent fan, missing/broken vent fan screen, broken bathroom door slide, broken/missing shade on the side of the bed, hole in one underbay cabinet rendering that storage space useless, bumper damage, broken seat belt holders, bunk over the driver seat are broken (sways because not bolted down on one side), the auto-leveling system is broken, rearview and side-view camera do not work, the screen door is broken, marker lights on driver's side do not work. To all potential renters, please beware of how Elite RV maintains its equipment and treats its customers. Their priorities lie in maximizing the number of rentals and not supporting the quality of the rental experience. I understand many businesses are suffering due to the pandemic, but the RV rental industry is thriving (hence the full voicemail boxes). There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to take the time to properly maintain their vehicles and ensure the safety of their customers. read more

Go somewhere else. I took the family on a week long trip through AZ/UT in April 2021 and got Nathan's personal RV. Here's the summary: - carbon monoxide detector broke on day 2 and Nathan told us to cut the wire so it would stop beeping. However, that also cuts the propane as a safety measure so we had no heat, hot water or stove for the entire trip. No refund of any kind offered - And he went through the extended insurance to charge me $3500 when I did not do damage to the RV. So just plan on spending whatever $$ the RV costs plus $3500 if you rent here. read more

The employee made serval uncomfortable comments and keeped threatening to cancel are reservation all together. I am coming from the owners side of Elite RV and how they manage their rentals. I gave them a pristine Grand Design 38' toy-hauler 5th wheel to rent for me. Let me just say that the damages to my RV were mostly due to Elite RV's lack of inspecting the units when they come in after rental. Let's see; table top thrown on floor of garage and ruined rather than placed on one of the two beds in the same area; Elite (Nathan) called it "normal wear and tear". One of the 3 glass panels of the shower doors is completely gone; I have to assume it was broken at some point. Nathan hid that detail from me when I picked my unit up so that my Air Force son and family here on vacation now can't take a shower. They tried to give me back my RV with the black tank semi full, one of the couch sections is completely detached from the floor, Nathan tells me it's probably been that way since I bought it; I lived in said RV for a year prior to putting it in Elites fleet and there was no problem with the couch. Nathan is a used car salesman and not like one from one of the big dealerships, I mean like a "Joe's cheap car lot" on a corner somewhere. Owners beware, if you put your RV in Elites' fleet you will be sorry when what you get back is a POS and all you'll hear is "it's normal wear and tear". An for you renters, let me just say that there have been 3 tire blowout/separations on my rig because Elite does not check air pressure on RV's before they go out. I asked them to check my tire pressure prior to taking it and found all tires at 65 psi when the tire they are sitting in front of says it needs to be 80 psi. read more

Renter beware! Horrible experience made worse by even worse customer service. I reserved a new trailer for a camp trip with son and friends only to be told day before leaving that the camper wasn't working and offered a camper that was several years older and in horrible condition (beat up, broken blinds, fridge smelled like old fish, broken side window that continually flopped open on the road, etc). I wavered on returning it after pickup due to condition but ultimately decided I could deal with it as we were leaving in short time. When I got to the campsite, in the woods not a campground, I realized the camper's battery was completely shot and was actually smoking. This caused the fridge to not work which spoiled all of our food that we needed for two nights. I traded texts with Bud from Elite who told me to "run into town" to pick up a new battery and they would reimburse me. After a 4 hr round trip into Payson to get a new battery I burned a huge portion of my only full day at camp and half a tank of gas. When I retuned the camper I provided a copy of the battery receipt for the promised reimbursement. Nathan, whom I assume is the business owner, is now ghosting my calls and appears to have no intention to cover the battery I purchased for the. Bud is the only saving grace of the experience as he doing what he can but Nathan refuses to help. read more

This company sent my friends out with a generator for the RV in 115 degree heat that they knew needed repairs. My friends were delayed 4 hours heading out to camp with us while the company came to their house and repaired the generator in their driveway. Had the generator not failed while they were packing at their house, it could have happened on the road or at the campsite. It is really irresponsible to rent an RV with a generator in need of repair. read more

Listen to the negative reviews! Anyone can fake a good review! I pulled my family from a safe, warm DRY, hotel into the rvs from hell. We are renovating our home and we thought it was getting to costly to stay at the motel so we decided to rent an rv. The first trailer had a bad leaking toilet and the only thing that worked was the oven, which was filthy. Besides the interior looking like it had been through hell and back it leaked in water. The first night we stayed in it I sent them a text asking if there were any leaks because the bed was full of water stains, no one responded. The next evening it was raining and the whole entire trailer was leaking in the inside. Water was running down the walls and the back wall where the toy hauler ramp was had water streaming down it. It was literally raining inside this horrible trailer. All of our stuff was getting wet, my paintings were getting wet all of my supplies for my own business were getting wet and ruined. I tried calling the number we were provided to call if there were any issues , no one answered. The side of the bed I was laying on was soaked so my husband was laying on the very edge so I didn't have to lay on a soaked mattress. I got a call the next morning saying they would be dropping off a new trailer. Still pissed off I agreed to it and the driver didn't arrive until late that evening so I had to transfer all of our stuff out when it was dark and cold. The driver said he was the one who does all of the maintenance on the rvs and he said he sealed the roof himself and that THE leak must've been new. Boiling pissed I told him that the whole damn thing leaked. The guy said he was going to pin our location so he'd know how to get here when he needs to pick it up. When he pulled away he HIT our shed with his driver's side mirror. The second day we were in this one I was washing dishes and when I pulled the plug to drain the water the water shot out from the bottom left hand side of the oven near the floor. Then we started to smell propane, the tank was leaking gas because the seal was bad on the valve, we tried the other one and it was the same thing. We had to buy tanks so we could have heat because this wonderful pile leaks cold air from all of the windows and doors. I had to tape the bottoms of the doors to try and keep the cold air out. Some of the windows were missing screens. I received an email this afternoon saying that we had to drop off the trailer this weekend and when I called them to say their driver said he would be picking it up and he even said he was pinning the location so he would have a better time finding the way here. The owner of this fine upstanding establishment told me first that the driver never said that he would pick it up, then said it didn't matter what the driver said because they weren't going to pick it up unless I wanted to pay them another $660. This company is by far one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I'm going to be sure to tell everyone one I can about this delightful experience so they know how horrible this place is to deal with. read more

I rented my rv out to this place for a year. Just got it back the roof was damaged skylights and vent covers were broken off. Shower glass door was broken, there were many more cosmetic issues found as well, nothing was fixed right just band aided back together. I've tried calling Nathan and he will not return or answer my phone calls. If you have a nice trailer don't leave it with this place cause it will be destroyed when you get it back. read more

Had a really good experience with elite RV after renting a vehicle for a week. We initially worked with Brian who spent as much time as we needed going through the beginner orientation as this was our first time driving and renting a class C vehicle like this. The only reason this is not a five star rating is because we had some issues with the tire which were resolved and the RV wasn't as clean as we would've liked. Bottom line it's a rental I put in the elbow grease to clean it up to my standards and I appreciated the excellent customer service from Elite RV. Will definitely do business again. read more

We rented an RV from Elite RV Rentals for 3 days for a special occasion. My husband and I both have cancer and wanted to do something unique and fun with our family, Considering our health condition we wanted something that would be turn key ready to go on this special trip. Do yourself a favor DO NOT RENT from this place. Nathan is a joke. If you write a bad review don't expect anything from this place. If you have a bad experience expect to be ghosted and have no solution to the issues you had. They will not make anything right instead you get screwed out of your money and expect a very bad experience. This RV was not in good working order that is for sure. If you want to have an RV that has expired tags, leaking showers, bed bugs. no mattress, told after the fact that there was an air bed that you would expect if you were using a tent not something in an elite RV to sleep on. This indicates to me that Nathan knew there was no mattress to sleep on. For over $300 a night you would expect a mattress not a $25 air bed that wasn't even there. They tell you the RV sleeps 8 when it really sleeps 4 and maybe some small children on the couch. I reached out to Nathan to try to get some kind of refund for this awful trip. He never returns calls does not care if you had a bad experience. If you write a bad review expect to get nothing from them since that is not okay even if it was a terrible experience for you. Don't expect to get your calls returned no matter how many messages you leave I think they do not know how to use the phone because they never call you back. Get a hotel room it is cheaper and you will be able to sleep and get a shower that works. I would never rent from this place ever again. Worst experience ever. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would!!! I can't believe the condition of the rv we rented $1,300. There was a crack in the windshield the DVD player didn't work even though my husband asked and Bud said he checked it. The photo had a awning on it and we didn't notice it wasn't there until we were at the camp site. So no shade. My nephew fell through the pull out bed because it was duct taped together! And to top it off when we dropped it off there was tree scuffs on the side and I could have gotten it out with a magic eraser and they put in a repair claim! Actually added stuff onto the claim! Through our insurance! Bud also threatened to call the police on us because my husband called them scam artists!!! And to top it off they tried to take out another 2,000 dollars out of my account!!! The emails say trying to take out deposit for my upcoming rental!!! BEWARE!!! don't do business with them!!! We would give this company a negative star if we could. The day before we came down to Phoenix to pick up the 2018 Navion the agent called to say it had been damaged. He said we could rent the 2014 View at a 10% discount. When we arrived the next day the story changed to the Navion had been stolen so it was not on the property. We toured the View in 105 degree heat and it seemed decent except that it had a blow up bed. We had a 10 day trip ahead an needed to hit the road so decided we could make it work. It deflated the first night! The AC went out several times and the transmission was acting up. The radio, TV, and the USB connection were all broken...so no book on tape or music. The Blackwater valve vibrated and spilled sewage. And there were numerous other issues. When we returned we asked for money back to compensate for all the issues. The GM said he would consult the owner and then wrote a scathing email saying we threatened the staff and we signed the contract. Talk about terrible customer service! Just a warning to future renters....you are spending a lot of money and need to enjoy your trip...DO NOT use this company! read more
