Loved the coaches but it's run militantly to a degree inappropriate for 5 year olds in my opinion.

've gone to them for three years and this year they've decided to implement a "strict uniform policy". My son attended a session and had the shirt but wore the wrong black shorts. I was told he could not participate and that he would have to stand on the side. He is only 5 years old. I refused to have him sit since that would embarrass him. I asked if they could give me a pass for this time only and was told no. Staff said they felt "threatened by me". I called them and my son was actually uninvited from the program. My son has been here for 2 years, he is now 6 years old and he stands out everywhere he goes. This place will bring HIGH INTENSITY workouts for your child.. I wouldn't recommend for kids who aren't interested in the sport. If you are interested in just fun and no dedication to drills or improving the child's game of basketball this place is not for you.. as you can see in the comments.. this place is for kids who are ready to face the SAME discipline they will face in the real world AND have COMPLETE INTEREST in basketball! My child is 6 years old and competes outside of Elite Skills with 8-9 year olds and still stands out.. the credit is due to my child for the dedication which comes first and after that all the credit belongs to Elite Skills. I have to say I am very happy so far with the experience my son is getting at Elite Skills Basketball Clinic. My son is 14 and quite tall, but he learned basketball at the park, so there were some basic fundamentals that were missing in his game, that held him back from progressing as a player. After the first, 2hr session, I saw him moving a different way. During the first game after that clinic, he was utilizing what he had just learned from Seth (head coach at Elite Skills) and even he realized that these fundamental moves worked and made him better. Even if only for a little bit. However after a bunch of points later, I saw a confidence established for him that wasnt ever present before. Kudos to Seth for getting my son to listen and learn, and realize that feeling uncomfortable during the drills, is actually him LEARNING SOMETHING NEW AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE RIGHT WAY. read more

What can I say about Elite Skills? . These men are very professional and knowledgeable. They love what they do and it shows. Outstanding coaches. Fair pricing. Positive and inspiring environment. Can't say enough good things about this place. From coaches to Seth the owner...all are amazing trainers and professional athletes. They really connect with the kids and bring out your child's best. They take the time to teach each skill correctly. I like that I can drop off my kid for a training and its followed up by a league/game. My kid looks forward to going every time. My daughter's been with Elite for a few years now and not only has she improved significantly but, she loves it. She's done both the training class and the level one games. The staff is very knowledgeable and motivating. Most leagues don't allow such young children to get on the court and play an actual game of basketball. The games are so exciting. For level one they use a lower hoop so it's not too intimidating for the young children. It's a delight to see all of the kids improving each week and learning sportsmanship. Coach Seth is amazing. Both my kids were a little reluctant to go, but the coaches were super friendly and very welcoming from the very moment they walked in, to the very end. My son isn't a big fan of basketball and my daughter is a dancer, so to see the excitement on their faces was surprising! My kids absolutely loved Elite Skills! Both my daughter and my son have learned basic moves from just one class and now all I hear is basketball this and basketball that...We'll definitely be back for summer. I first signed up my 13 yr old as a trial run because he's picky about who coaches him. Turned out that he loved it. Coaches Willy and Amil have excellent communication skills and explain every drill in detail while making it fun for the kids. My 8 yr old wasn't originally interested, but saw how much fun his older brother was having and jumped right in. This is their 2nd week and they are super excited about this very well run organization. Staff is really good. I'm thoroughly impressed. Also, Seth & Todd (league organizers) threw a season opening party that was extremely good and a lot of fun for the kids as well as adults. We had a great time. Excellent fundamentals training program. Seth and his team have a sincere passion for the sport and teaching children. I have been to a few other programs and none taught fundamentals or structure. This organization actually teaches students the rules of the game! Kids aren't running around bouncing basketballs aimlessly! I'm a teacher myself, and have been for 16 years now, and I can honestly say these coaches are TEACHERS. They teach the kids various techniques and drills and are wonderful at keeping the kids' attention. My son started Spring 2015 at age 6, and has made dramatic improvements since then. The coaches for training are knowledgeable of the sport and train the children in a safe and fun environment while instilling the basic fundamentals of basketball and life. Development skill sessions are small classes and coaches are attentive to students. Coach Seth arranges players at the same level to the 5 to 5 league sessions. First of all, their staff are super friendly and you don't feel being pressed or forced to do something like others do. amenity is clean and well organized. My 14 year old son was super happy with it. It was actually his first time playing "real" game. And the game is so enjoyable to watch for us parents!! Their fee is very fair.
