My daughter and I stopped by on 5/2 to order dresses for prom. We selected three dresses to try on…read moreand paid the "average" price between the dresses with the understanding they would arrive within two weeks, leaving enough time for alterations before prom on the 30th. Two weeks came and went with no phone call or update. I had to take the initiative to follow up multiple times, despite being told they would call me back with updates, which never happened. I called on the 12th, 21st, 22nd, and again later that week, and each time I was given a different story. Finally, on the 22nd, only 8 days before prom I was told the dresses were being held up in Portland. By that point, I had completely lost trust in their communication and customer service. The lack of follow-up, transparency, and urgency created so much unnecessary stress and anxiety during what should have been an exciting time for my daughter. Again, I had to reach out when I didn't hear back by the 26th, I still had to continue reaching out myself for an update!!! I finally received a call from Jen on the 27th, just 3 days before prom, saying the dresses had arrived around 2:30 PM. I had to leave work early to rush over so my daughter could try them on, choose one, and then quickly get it to alterations in time. What disappointed me most was not just the delay, but the complete lack of initiative, communication, accountability, or even a simple apology. After reading another recent review describing a very similar experience, it's concerning that this seems to be a pattern. I will not be returning, and I'm sharing this review in hopes of saving other parents from the same stress, frustration, and last-minute panic that we experienced.

I took my daughter there on April 18, 2026 to purchase her prom dress for prom on May 30, 2026. We made it VERY clear to staff when prom was and they knew alterations would be needed. We were reassured multiple times that the dress would arrive with "plenty of time" for alterations. I was specifically told the turnaround would be about 2 weeks and that the latest arrival date would be May 5, 2026. May 5 came and went with ZERO communication from the store. After hearing absolutely nothing, I called on May 7 and was suddenly told the dress was on backorder. Interesting, because when they took my money, I was told the dress was "in stock," "ready to ship," and coming from California. Nobody bothered to contact me about the delay, apologize, or even update me. Apparently, once they got paid in full, communication no longer mattered. When I asked when the dress would arrive, nobody could give me a straight answer. After another week of silence, I called AGAIN on May 13 and was told the dress should arrive by May 19,an entire MONTH after ordering it and barely over a week before prom. At that point, there was almost no time left for the alterations THEY KNEW my daughter needed from day one. What made this even worse was the complete lack of accountability and terrible customer service. When I asked what they planned to do to make this right after causing so much unnecessary stress, I was basically told "there's nothing we can do." No solution. No compensation. No urgency. Nothing. I even asked if they would at least help cover rushed alteration costs since their delay created the problem in the first place. Instead of showing understanding, staff got defensive and rude and asked if I wanted to cancel the order. The audacity was unbelievable. How do YOU get an attitude with ME after failing to communicate, missing your own promised timeline, and holding my money for over a month? To make matters worse, they don't even have an in-house seamstress and asked me if I knew someone who could sow. WHAT?!? So, now with prom a week away, I had to scramble to find someone willing to do rushed alterations at the last minute because of THEIR incompetence and poor communication. Fast forward to today, May 21, 2026, when I finally picked up the dress. The employees acted cold and standoffish the entire time, and it took nearly an HOUR just to try the dress on. Not one person seemed apologetic or concerned about the stress and inconvenience they caused. This entire experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. If you value communication, professionalism, and basic customer service, spend your money somewhere else. They were more than happy to take my payment in full immediately, but completely failed when it came to actually delivering on what they promised. Shop in Puyallup, WA Absolutely will NEVER return.

I've never had worse service from a place before in my life. Originally my problems started with…read morethe Langford location, where I was measured for my friends custom order for his wedding. When I showed up to the Victoria location (as thats where most of the business was being done) they had no notes of my measurements at all and thus were unable to fulfill a custom order for my friends wedding. Fast forward to MY wedding, we arranged with the assistant manager of the Victoria location to get a custom order done (3 piece suit for me, vests and pants for my groomsmen). The problem started when one of my groomsmen informed me that he had been measured for a jacket as well (adding about $300 to our price) which had apparently been done for ALL the groomsmen. This problem was corrected and then we moved on to issues with the shirts we were buying (off the rack) which they either couldn't seem to find sizes for or lost repeatedly "somewhere". I also got a VM for my shirt asking if i had picked mine up or if they had ordered me two by accident (i hadn't picked it up and i had not ordered two). Then they were supposed to send my suit over to Vancouver so I could get it properly fitted at a Moores near where I was staying, thankfully i decided to check in Victoria when I was back for a day (two weeks later) as they had never even sent my suit over and the assistant manager (who i had dealt with the whole time) was surprised that I was asking (he'd obviously forgotten). Not once did I hear an apology about any of the screw ups that happened (on our very simple order). I will never deal with Moores again as they are obviously not a very professional company.

I love this place. I have the best clothing and shoes and jewelry and I got some perfume too, but…read moremost of all I love the fact that they're absolutely clean organized and I can find the things that I want and need right away. The other thing that I admired is my cashier same as Connor whoever hired him you got a good one there he was pleasant he said please he said thank you and he said have a good day, but most of all he had a beautiful smile and he knew his job, thank you for all your hard work Connor I hope your boss kiss you the best race ever because you deserve it. You made me feel at home and made me feel like I was going to have a wonderful day, thank you, Noyack for all you do, and we'll see you soon. I've shopped here on and off over the last 20 years since I've lived in the area. Everybody says go…read moreto Nordstrom rack. Well over that 20-year time period I can probably count on one hand how many times I walked out of there with something worthwhile. For one thing the store is always in a fair amount of disarray. The racks are overcrowded. Too many items where they just have one or two things and it's really hard to find what you want in your size. A lot of stuff on the floor and if you do find something you love you have to wonder if it was stepped on or rolled over by a cart at some point. The prices probably are more reasonable if you do find something but you really got to dig. The thing that really burns my hide is the line. It's been long often in the past but it could be worthwhile if you found something. This most recent time I went the line was ridiculous. I would guess there was 35 or 40 people in line and three cashiers. The people were lined up all the way to the dressing room. I expect this if I go in Ross or the Goodwill. Not Nordstrom rack. Never again. But I want to give credit where credit is due, the cashiers despite the crushing workload where personable and did not display any stress despite the obvious frustration of everyone staring at them doing their job. Thank you for what you're doing, and hang in there ladies!
