We went for Mother's day, we loved the staff, good and service. The food was great and our leftovers went that night. Great food!

Almost all of the food is delicious, it's very unfortunate for the customer service by the OWNER himself. The man in the front claims to be the owner, but his attitude really surprised me. I recommend people to this establishment ALL of the time, even co workers dine for lunch there. The kitchen messed up on my friend's take out order twice, on the same night. When it came out wrong for the second time, my friend was very displeased and expressed how did it come out wrong for the second time, and that's when the owner blamed them for the mistake! My friend orders the SAME thing 2-3 times a week there, they know how to place their order. Very unfortunate to lose weekly business.

I actually decided to come here twice this week- that's how good it was! The first time I stopped in with my mom for lunch. Rather than going off the menu, we decided to go rogue and order just meatballs and a side salad. The meat balls were the best my mom and I ever had. We have frequented a few places for meatballs, and these were the best we have had.. so flavorful and tender... the sauce was perfect not too sweet. You could tell it was not just beef, probably at least pork as well. The salads were fresh and crisp- and they make their own dressings. I had the Italian which was ok, but mom raves about her peppercorn. Of course after the great experience with the meatballs we had to take dessert home for later.... Which was the chocolate truffle marquis. So rich and decadent.... The waitress that night was so attentive and nice, couldn't have asked for better. I came back later on that week just for a pizza. I was craving pizza and my normal joint was closed. This pizza was typical Greek style but was thrilled the sauce was perfect and not sweet. The crust was good, not too thick. The bartender, Gayle, was really nice and a fast worker. She also remembered names which always impresses me.

First time here and we were totally impressed with the service, menu diversity, quality and the flavor of our dishes, what a treat. The owner is from Brazil thus the food takes on a Brazilian Portuguese twist. The menu offers a number of Italian favorites which are nuanced through a Brazilian/Portuguese filter that ads an interesting complexity to some of the old Italian standards. There are a number of Portuguese entrees which I am eager to try on my next visit which I hope is soon as this place delivers exceptionally good food, great service, a diverse menu in a very comfortable relaxed setting.

I love to support my town's restaurants, Elizabeth's had its highs and lows. Our waitress was pretty decent. But she ended up disappearing. The place wasn't even 50% at capacity. But we were already done with our meal and there was a complaint for it and she showed up saying oh you guys are still waiting for your entrees? One thing that we really did enjoy was the mozzarella sticks that my son had ordered. I ordered the Chicken Francaise with penne. The sauce was hideous. And was probably the blandest lemony flavored Chicken Francaise I've ever tasted. Also there was a film on it like it was sitting for a while. I also know that the chicken francaise is with flour and egg. But all I could taste was Bland chicken with fried egg on it which was totally disgusting. When I spoke to the owner I told him about it and he just didn't want to hear it and told me I was wrong and that it was the best chicken francaise ever. As you can see in the photo it even looks Bland and it was half cold due to the fact that it sat with a film on top of it. My son also ordered the New York strip which was super Bland and it tasted like the steak was previously frozen. They did end up taking the chicken francaise off our bill. And they did offer a free dessert, which definitely tasted like it came from a third party and tasted okay.

Stopped by at Elizabeth's for HH and also try the new place. Very spacious and plenty of seating. We sat at the bar. They have a nice big bar with seating all around and they serve the full menu at the bar. Friendly staff. Very good drinks and the appetizers were good too. One feedback I have is the attentiveness of the staff at the bar. The restaurant was not crowded and our wait was long and we had to call out a couple of times to the bartender weighing on us. Nonetheless, the drinks and food (appetizers) were good and we will be back again.

Poor. Waitress was great, food blah, Fox News on tv, very offensive. Go neutral or don't expect I will spend another dime there.

Nice location and staff but spotty food…read more Came here on recommendation by a friend. Made the trek out to try some authentic Portuguese food. They were prepping for a big event when we came, so they were a bit distracted when we came in. They offered us seating at the patio or the bar and we opted for outside. Our server for the nice was very nice but clearly stretched thin. She tried to check in frequently but ended up only really dropping by a few times through the night. We get a gambit of items. The garlic steak bites, the mussels with chorizo, the picaha and get the saffron rice and salad as our sides. Food comes out quickly, along with some bread for the table. Very crunchy bread, butter was cold but easy enough to massage to make spreadable. The steak bites and mussels came out first. The mussels were cooked, but the dish was really lacking flavor. You got chicken stock, the smokiness of the chorizo, and the veggies. That's all the flavor you got though, no real seasoning and very basic flavors. It really needed salt. The steak bites were pretty good. Kind of a little open faced Philly cheesesteak crostini, but with untoasted bread. Flavors were solid but also lacking seasoning. Then we got our entree, and the thought was there but it was very much lacking. Meat was unseasoned, overcooked (probably because they threw a cooked steak onto a sizzle plate which took it right over the edge of done) but it did have a wonderful charcoal bitterness which was a welcome choice. Instead of asking for a new one (steak was tender, just well done) we asked for a sauce. They took 5 minutes to make a scratch sauce for us. A mushroom type gravy, which was the highlight of the meal. All the flavor that was missing from the other dishes brought to the forefront, with a strong emphasis on salt and acid to really pop the flavors of the meat. I really enjoyed the sauce. It showed that the kitchen can put out good food, it just was too focused on the event to put up a good showing. It was a shame, but it's good enough to try again some day. Pricing was reasonable for the quality, it's possible to get a good meal here, but your experience can vary.

A few disappointments including no clams or calamari for seafood mix or clam and sausage appetizer. The two soups were the highlight as well as our beloved chorizo. The mussels were not as flavorful as I recall although portion was ample. Overall, a predictable meal with no culinary surprises. O

Hands down my new favorite restaurant. Killing time waiting for my knives to be sharpened around…read morethe corner so I stopped in for lunch (thanks to the Yelp reviews). Found parking right in front - a good omen. It wasn't quite, "You had me when you said 'hello.'" but I was definitely hopeful when I walked in. Small place. A working man's taverna. The bar takes up a third of the room and a dozen tables, mostly high hats, take up the rest. The owner's at the bar sipping a beer and presumably looking over things. A number of obvious locals at the tables and the bar. Portuguese intermixed with English the sounds of the house. The menu consisted of well-known Portuguese fare, and I had already determined what I would have based on the Yelp reviews. But in the back was the chalkboard with the daily specials. The friendly server came by with olives in garlic and bread and butter, and explained the specials, so I switched up and got the spinach soup and the beans "transmontana," all with a glass of house Portuguese red. Everything, simply everything, was delicious and abundant. No frills. Nothing vertical, no olive oil drizzle on the soup, just plain good food. The soup seemed to have a chicken stock base but had some thickness, spinach, nice potatoes. Warm and rich. The bean dish - if you want to call it that - was really a full plateful of hacked pork, chorizo, cabbage potatoes...and, yes, beans, with a side of white rice. The pork was to die for, succulent, melt-off-the-bone good. The flavor probably enhanced by the marrow from the broken bones. I mean, this was REALLY good. I intended to try more just to see if I happened to get lucky. They had two fish dishes worth a try and everyone seems to like the crab/fish cakes. But I had all I could handle and still took a plate home for my next meal. If I told you the price, you'd think I was being paid for this. Simply put, this is home-cooked food, plentifully portioned and priced like it was 1950, or maybe like you were in the mountains of Portugal. Thanks to the house for making this my lucky day.
