We needed a place to stay overnight-here are the pros: -easy in and out -level site -hook ups worked well -grounds were clean Cons: -I thought it was very overpriced for what you get -the second set of bathrooms were locked with a padlock so we couldn't access them -we arrived late after the office had closed, had made an online reservation 6 hours earlier, but there was no note for us on their door, nor did the email we received from KOA have a site number on it. We just had to pick a site and hope for the best. -it just seemed outdated overall. -the pool didn't open until 10:00am read more

This KOA was a nice place and just off the 40. We stayed overnight. No concrete slabs but it was level enough for us. The trees didn't block our satellite dish, which was nice. The grass in front of our rig had dog poop so that was disappointing. They have a building where registration is, pool table, store with camping items to purchase and a cozy bar area. We ate there and had the wings. They were delicious. The servers were all very friendly. We would come back and support another KOA. read more

It was ok. It looked old and a little run down. The bathrooms and the showers could have been cleaner. Good for 1 night.

Before you read the below review, I want to let you know that the cost of our stay was refunded by the manager, Misty, a couple hours after we checked out, based on a phone message I left at their office shortly after we arrived. Misty stated that this must have been an oversight and that the cabin we stayed in is not at all like their new deluxe cabins. She also stated that she was reviewing things with the housecleaning staff today. Here is my otherwise unedited initial review: "Filthy cabins. We were a late check-in, so we didn't have much choice by the time we unpacked. We've stayed in KOA "Kabins" for years all over the country while on road trips, and I'll tell you, if this were the norm, we would never again. Thankfully I know that most KOAs care and keep their cabins immaculately clean. On this night, we splurged and got the "deluxe" cabin with its own shower and bathroom. We've stayed in deluxe cabins before, and they're truly exceptional tiny houses. This one is squeezed into the normal small cabin with a toilet so close to the opposing wall that I couldn't sit with my legs straight. The shower is so rinkey dink that the entire wall moves in and out when you adjust the water, and the shower head was at the height of my shoulders. But the worst discovery was under the bed. I don't make a habit of inspecting under the bed normally, but we always sweep the cabins before we check out in the morning, and I've never seen the filth I saw under this bed when I dropped something that rolled there and I had to retrieve it with my flashlight. It's as if no one has ever swept under that bed. Complete filth. We barricaded around the base of the bed with our stuff so our smaller dog wouldn't get into the filth and stir up the dust overnight. I unfortunately suffer allergies, and knew it that dust got stirred in this small space that we would have to sleep in the car. This KOA definitely needs to review its housekeeping standards. If we'd arrived earlier, we would have insisted on a clean cabin. The reason I'm giving you two stars rather that the one I initially selected, is that I assume and hope you will work to come up to KOA standards, and you were kind enough to leave the porch light on and start the A/C for us before our late arrival, and you're dog friendly, which makes a world of difference to us. Oh- and another tip for housekeeping... if you're going to include an alarm clock in the room, please switch it off from the previous occupant. We didn't notice it perched on top of the a/c unit, and it went off at 2:45 AM, waking us and the dogs up. We essentially didn't get back to sleep again until we finally got up at 6:30. FYI- I swept everywhere but under the bed, because a)I didn't want to stir up that dust and b) I want you to see it for yourself." read more

This KOA was really nice. It wasn't too big and the owners were really nice. We enjoyed the pool a lot! Our site was nice and grassy (however we should have never picked a campsite right under a big spotlight)!!! The wifi was pretty good. The bathrooms were okay- The woman's were pretty clean but according to my boyfriend, the men's bathroom was really nice! All in all, it was a nice place to stay during our trip! ps: bring bug spray! there were A LOT of mosquitos. read more

Great KOA! Friendly staff, shady pull thru sites with full service. Awesome K-9 dog park with a nice swing for the people. Office offers food to include Hunts Bro pizza, burgers, wings, nachos, etc. Right off of I-40 - easy off and on the interstate. Pool is currently closed due to COVID. Convenient location right off i40. That said, road noise was loud, and constant. Many sites unlevel, we had to request to move because we couldn't level our motorhome. No tv stations came in, wifi was weak and kept kicking me off. Was just an overnight stop on our trip home, not next time will look for another park a little farther down the road. read more

Saddest KOA we've ever stayed in. It was pretty clean but nothing more than mowed weeds. The spaces are small and tight with little space for slide-outs. On overnight stay is ok if you have a smaller trailer and no dog. The weeds are pretty bad for a dog. You'll spend all your time pulling painfully big burs out of their paws. The dog park was just more of the same. It was mowed. Had no doggie bags and the garbage can was overflowing. Again, if you're just rolling in for the night with a small trailer and no dog it's ok. Otherwise it's pretty disappointing. read more

Arrived yesterday afternoon for a one night stay, had one of the cabins. This KOA is one of the nicest and friendliest I have visited!! Kim and Bug were super friendly, helpful and entertaining, the bar are was a major plus! The cabin was clean, air was on and linens out for our stay! Kudos to the staff and management here, they have an amazing campground and amazing customer service, will for sure stop in again when passing through!! read more

This campground was great. Peaceful. Quiet. We had a cabin that actually had a bathroom in it for the first time. We usually get the primitive, but the pricing on this one was so great we actually upgraded. They had a cafe on site, which is also rare. The food was good. Hubby had a bbq and said it was great. I had a much needed salad, and it was great also. This morning he had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and I had an egg and cheese burrito. (I don't eat meat). The pool was nice and was refreshing after a long drive. They have a nice walking spot and a lake. The employees were SUPER friendly. We will definitely stay here again if we come back through, and good Lord willjn' we will, cause I HAVE to go back to Sedona again. read more

Great looking park with store, food and a bar. But sites are narrow (slide out or awning but not both, Lol). Wifi does not work 2/3rds of the way back into park from office. Expensive for what's offered except maybe for barflies. read more

The staff here is great. The bathrooms could use some updating but there's two sets which is nice. A good cleaning and better lighting is what I'd like to see. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pizza on their menu is frozen cheese pizza that they add toppings to. It was good but $13+ for a frozen pizza was a bit much in my opinion. If it wasn't for this minor detail I'd definitely give them 5 stars. If I'm ever in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma again I'll stay here again but I'll bring my own food next time. read more

Making our way across country, we needed to stop in the area and know KOA to have a good reputation for tent camping. This stretch of OK doesnt have much... a lot of dirt, very few trees, and intense wind! There were a few trees by the tent camping sites which was nice. The front desk was very kind and informed us they have homemade desserts prepared daily along with pizzas, breakfast, and other snacks you can get :) The bathroom was okay. You could tell it is older, but it was definitely clean (which is all i can ask for). Not at the campground: We noticed the campground was on "Lake" rd. so we drove down to the "lake", but it was quite the let down. It's a pretty dried up red pond :/ really dusty and windy with a lot of grasshoppers. read more

Great campground to stop at, right off the main highway. Very small but the facilities were clean. An easy spot for a one or two night stay.

Excellent KOA!! Especially for large dog owners. Plenty of shaded open grassy areas and two really nice enclosed pet play areas. One of which is huge, grassy and super shaded in the hot evening hours. The entire campground was immaculate and Facilities were clean and accessible with a swimming pool, laundry, bath, showers etc. Not only were the chicken wings excellent but the gift shop had neat little gifts as well. And The little bar (Moose Knuckle Tavern) was an also an awesome touch. The staff truly went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. Super friendly and compassionate towards us having an awful KOA experience the night before. They even assigned us a beautiful shaded site towards the back of the park away from road noise (which wasn't bad up towards the front either) just to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The two ladies working completely redeemed the excellent KOA experience we'd always had before and we would most certainly come back again. read more

My family and I stopped here for two nights on our way cross country. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were very clean and well kept. The campground is about a 45 minute drive or so from the Washita National Battleground which is very interesting and worth the drive if you like history. There is a big lake just down the road from the campground. The road is dirt and very secluded so if you are into that sort of thing it makes for a great running or walking path. There is also a free boat launch at the lake so worth the short drive from the campground if you are a boater. I would recommend this place due to the friendly staff, cleanliness of the campground, and proximity to the National Park. It is not going to blow you away with glamour or bells and whistles, but it is quiet and really nice for a few days stay or a place to just simply get off the road. read more
