I've been a member of the big gyms in the greater Baltimore area including Gold's & Merritt, but this one is by far the best in my opinion.

I'm not a member at Life Time but I've been lucky enough to be a guest here a few times. I've…read morelifted here and most recently, took a vinyasa yoga class. The facility is massive -- it almost feels like a mall. There's a cafe, indoor pool, plenty of fitness areas, and spacious locker rooms. Everything felt very clean here which is a plus. The Sunday 10:45am vinyasa class was advertised as "medium heat" but it barely felt heated. The instructor wasn't my favorite and the flow felt clunky and disorganized. Her queueing wasn't very clear and if I were a newbie yogi, I'd be pretty confused. Most of the class was spent in child's pose or savasana and I would've preferred more time to flow and play. The studio itself is fairly small for the size of the rest of the gym. As a guest recently, I had to download the app in order to get my guest pass which was pretty annoying. I've never seen another gym do that and didn't appreciate the extra hoops to jump through. Overall, if this gym was closer and less expensive I'd consider it but for now, I appreciate the chance to be a guest here.

I went to this gym from 2023 - 2025 and finally canceled my membership in December. The staff are…read moreincredibly nice, honestly they are the best. But the crazy expensive cost is not worth it. It feels like all the money goes to extras like the sitting areas, pickleball courts, classes that cost additional money, etc. The only gym area is the second floor, and even that is taken up by classes. Machines are often broken and dirty, kids are CONSTANTLY running around unsupervised and playing on the equipment, and the gym etiquette has taken a severe hit. You see people filming, reading up multiple machines, sitting for an hour while scrolling, and not putting things back. I had to change my workout so many times because the free weights were missing entire bands of weights. Again, the staff is incredibly kind and nice. But the gym does not deserve the almost $200 a month price point. I would pay $40.

The room that they host classes in you're free to work out in when no classes are being hosted! It is often times empty so it's nice if you want mirror space and to be away from the other people working out in the main room. Pricing is more than fair and there's always clean bathrooms and fully stocked wipes and cleaning spray to clean your machines. I was going to the Columbia Golds Gym previously until it shut down during COVID and this one while smaller is just as high quality. Bathrooms are always really clean, and the staff is nice. I really love working out here and I highly recommend!

I started my membership here around New Years, prior to the Covid outbreak…read more Today I made my first trip back to the gym since it's reopened and I really couldn't be more disappointed. 1. Machines weren't spaced out at all to a lot for social distancing. 2. An employee checked my temperature at the door and went over the rules with me, but then proceeded to work out himself with no one monitoring the entrance. Nobody was going around cleaning machines -- it was complete honor system. Once the employee finished his work out, he left and nobody was watching the gym at all. 3. They couldn't even be bothered to add more wipe stations so that you don't have to walk half way across the gym to get and throw out a hand wipe. No new wipe stations, no new garbage cans to dispose of them. This encourages you to walk past other gym members. 4. Since nobody was enforcing masks, people regularly had them off. The employee told me you can have it off when lifting or doing cardio, but people were forgetting to put them back on and their cramped layout and lack of wipe stations/disposal bins encouraged people to get close to one another. 5. No signs on the walls about masks, no markers on the floor. 6. While on a cardio machine, I had a guy like 4 feet away from me on an adjacent machine not wearing a mask because he was working out. 7. When I came in, they told me that they purchased hand sanitizer. They pretty much bought 3 big push bottles of hand sanitizer, but they couldn't even be bothered to space them out on opposite sides of the gym. 2 of the 3 were on the counter at the entryway and the other one was by the Cardio equipment -- again ensuring that you have to walk past people to sanitize your hands. The only things that they've done that are positive: They closed the locker rooms with the exception of being able to use the bathrooms and told guests not to use the water fountains. They had the employee check my temperature, but since he was off working out himself it was easy for people to sneak by (also since he left early). I called the mainline from the parking lot and expressed my concerns and the guy on the phone was nice enough and told me that if I didn't feel safe I could suspend my membership for 6 months, which he said that he would do for me. He told me that they were going to get signs and filters etc next week. But, truth be told, that just made me angry because they obviously weren't ready to reopen and did anyway. I can't believe this was the best they could come up with after having 3 months to think about how to safely reopen. I told them that I would monitor their Facebook page and may come back when they've made positive changes, but upon thinking about it more, it really angered me how lightly they are taking customer safety. With about $500 they could have gone from 1 out of 10 in terms of Covid safety to at least a 4-10. It's either laziness, incompetence or apathy. I intend on looking for a new gym this weekend that's taking proper safety measures.

There is wide variety of weights to build muscle whether you occasionally workout or are a serious body builder. They even have a POSE room! Scheduling has always been…read moredifficult, with very limited availability, but what made it worse was how my existing bookings were handled toward the end of my membership. I had classes scheduled, including on April 25, and even adjusted a personal commitment to attend. However, when I checked my account that morning, multiple classes had been removed without any advance notice. One class had already been pushed into May due to an earlier cancellation, and that was also removed. This left me with no opportunity to use what I had paid for. When I reached out for assistance, including speaking with the general manager, Gloria, and Amanda, I did not feel supported. Communication felt dismissive, and I was told I should not rely on staff for scheduling, even though I had previously been told they could help. The inconsistency and lack of accountability added to the frustration. Because the issue was not resolved at the studio level, I had to escalate it through a formal complaint and a credit card dispute, which was ultimately decided in my favor. I'm sharing this so others are aware: while the workouts themselves may be good, the scheduling system and customer support experience did not meet expectations.

I really enjoy Kimber, Sidney, and Nicole for power yoga. Their flows are so unique, thoughtful, and intentional. I've been doing yoga for over 15 years and have learned more here than I have at many other places around. They also have Pilates, Zumba, and other types of yoga. I was not super impressed by the two slow flow classes I attended. I do wish they offered more classes at a greater variety of times. They mostly offer classes before and after a 9-5 work day.
