Every employee and volunteers are friendly and helpful. The lodge is managed and maintained in an excellent fashion. It is the best place to socialize. It has so much to offer the members and their families. read more

Very nice Lodge, friendly, welcoming and beautiful facilities. We didn't have a meal, but did enjoy some beverages in the bar. We stopped here for a two-night stay in the RV camping area as we were heading down I-5 from WA to CA. The Lodge doesn't take reservations or respond to phone inquiries asking if there is space. They are located right near an awesome trail along the water where you can walk, run or ride in beautiful surroundings. From the Lodge website: RV SITES -- Open seven days a week: Monday - Saturday 11 am-8:30 pm Sunday 9 am - 8:30 pm -- 20 RV sites; hook-ups include water, 30/50 Amp electric and basic Satellite TV per site, FREE WIFI in the RV Park and Club Room Lounge, a dump station on site and our showers are available during Lodge open hours. Get an envelope from the drop box on the east corner of the building and fill it out, include your check or cash and drop it in the drop slot. -- Traveling Elks are welcome on a first come, first served basis for Elk members only. We DO NOT take reservations. -- The fees per site are $20 per night for Redding Elk members and Associates and $30 per night for all visiting Elks in good standing,maximum stay is 14 days. They have 3 overnight only dry camping sites at $20 each if our 20 spaces are full. -- Pets are allowed on a leash on the front lawn only and we thank you for picking up after your pet. We were mainly interested in the this Elks for their RV overnight parking. We love it when they offer parking and especially with hookups. There are 20 spots and we discovered a few of them were empty. Good deal! They do not take reservations and you have no idea if there is availability when you arrive. The phone number you call that connects you to the RV parking info line only tells you what they offer and there is no way to check if there is availability. The lodge is really nice. The grounds are huge, the lodge is huge and there is even a swimming pool If there is an active it seems all the locals show up for it. We didn't find the people friendly or unfriendly but for us it was just a night in a safe place with hookups before we hit the road again. We would definitely stop again. read more

Poor bartending service, they were super rude and had no idea how to make drinks. We where there for a party and was there a little bit early to watch the game and was told we couldn't even order a drink because the party that we were attending wasn't till 6 o'clock and they didn't have enough bartenders to help us when it was only my husband ordering a drink that we where paying for. After the party started, they still didn't have more than just two bartenders there the whole time...we got married there all most 29 years ago and well it's safe to say there attitudes and rudeness have not changed.!! I love this Elk's lodge. We use the pool and snack bar in the summer with the grandkids. The bar is fun and love to shoot pool and shuffleboard in the winter. The meals are always good and a reasonable price. read more

Went for my husband's work party and I was dissappointed with the venue. The ladies restroom needed some work and just looked shabby. There were boxes of lightbulbs and other maintenance items taking up half the counter and everything just seemed old and worn/uncared for. The bar service wasn't great. We ordered some drinks which were made/poured and rung up. The bartender asked if we were members, we said no. He pointed to a wall and said, "Well there's the ATM." and walked off. Nowhere does it say anything about cash only from non members. Later into the night, someone not from our group walked up to someone from our group and shoved him. My husband's coworker yelled at the guy who pushed him and the bartender kicked our guy out but the trouble maker was allowed to stay. Guess who was banned from the Elks Lodge. Overall, not impressed. I would suggest another venue over this one. read more

What an obnoxious organization! I was a member a couple years ago and dropped because of being treated very rudely by the "inner circle". Someone talked me into giving them a second chance recently and I rejoined. Wow! My guest was verbally abused by some "inner circle" person and I was accused of being intoxicated because I had the nerve to call people out on their behavior. Clearly this isnt the place for anyone who expects to be treated with respect after paying 200 dollars a year to join. As a sidenote...I recently was a little embarrassed when someone told me how bad the bar service was at a wedding they attended there. I can only imagine how bad it was after being treated so badly as a paying member. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Great, affordable Lunch in a very pleasant environment! Plenty of choices. Burgers, sandwiches, soup, with fries, salad sides. Friday's Clam Chowder large bowl, $5 and delicious!! Nothing elaborate but definitely hits the spot. If you're looking for a fun friendly group to engage with, this is it. Come for lunch, and join the Lodge if you like it! read more

This is one of the nicest Elks Lodge's we've visited. We stayed in our RV. Great spots on the river. Loved walking the river path. Bartender, Dottie, was super nice and helpful. All 3 of the bartenders were friendly and welcoming as well as lots of the members. We hope to make it back again. read more

The Lodge is very nice. The RV parking is great. It has 20 spaces, electric 50/30/15 and water. Dump station. We only stayed one night so didn't get to attend any functions. The bartender was friendly. The lodge is beautiful. read more

This is an amazing lodge located right on the Sacramento River. They have a pool & weight room (pretty full at that), sauna, & showers. Their RV space is great only thing missing is WIFI & dump. The members are awesome in fact I'm golfing with one today that I just met last night. read more

So unprofessional! So many things went wrong at my sisters wedding. The people there are so rude, not helpful at all! The tables were supposed to be set up at 8am and no one was even there and they were not set up. Two weeks before their wedding they were told they had to pay full price (they were getting a discount because a family friend who is a member there paid for the venue). One of the best places for community, RV parking, friends in Redding. They have a nice park like setting right by the river to park your RV. You can take a nice long hike or bike ride by the parks and along the Sacramento River. The Elks is a wonderful organization. Like a of fun activities. Great dinners and low priced drinks. We belong to the club in San Rafael but are welcomed in all of the Elks in the USA. read more

Chrisy and I have been traveling in the Coach from Florence Oregon since 11 am. I said to Chrisy let's stop at the Redding Elks which has has a nice Rv park. She said that's great! We arrive around 6:45 pm as it was getting dark pulling into the elks parking lot. There was an event going on in the lodge so the lot was full of cars which made it unsafe to maneuver into a Rv spot. we parked the coach in the parking lot and walked into the lodge to pay for Rv parking. The female bartender was very polite and accommodating but was unsure on dry camping. She walked around the other side of the bar to ask the Leading Knight for info on dry camping. I walked over to the two and explain the parking lot situation. The leading Knight said the party next door will be leaving in half an hour and you'll be able to back into a spot because you can't dry camp when spaces are available. I said no problem. She was very nice. She then said, why don't u just stay parked where u r. I walked back to the other side of the bar and sat down next to Chrisy. I'd hadn't two sips of my drink and heard someone yelling who parked there motor-coach in the far parking lot. She made us feel like criminals. She comes up to Chrisy and yelled you can't park there. Chrisy said the leading Knight informed us it was ok to park there. She yelled at Chrisy stating she was the camp host and nobody has the right to approve Rv parking except her. Chrisy said to her don't be so mean.. wrong thing to say. She started spitting that she is nice to everyone. Chrisy said to the bartender please give us our money back and we'll leave.... the bartender felt very bad for us. We came from the Florence lodge who treated us with open arms to a elks lodge that could care less !!!! We'll never set foot in that lodge again....... read more

I love the elks 1073 .they have a great pool the bartenders are friendly people are great . They have a great rv park . The food was good and we have had 3 weddings there they bent over backwards for us...thanks for being a great place to go have a drink with friends.... read more
