Cool building, must be closed? Went by a couple of times on Saturday hoping for dinner there. Nobody answers the phone either.

Outstanding Customer Service - Truly Above and Beyond…read more We stayed at Best Western in Susanville, California while traveling to Mammoth during our move, and I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. Dylan and Leslie, who were working the front desk, were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Traveling late can be exhausting, especially with a family, but they made us feel genuinely cared for. They even made the bed for our child, which meant more to us than they probably realize. My wife and I are not used to this level of customer service from hotel front desk staff, especially arriving late, when at many other hotels it feels like you're inconveniencing someone. That was not the case here. Dylan and Leslie were attentive, friendly, and professional the entire time. Susanville's Best Western is, by far, one of the best places we've stayed. If this hotel sets the standard for customer service, others should take notes. Huge thank you to Dylan and Leslie for making our stay so comfortable and memorable, we will absolutely be back.

They don't offer the precheck in that other best westerns do, but it's actually a sure stay by best western, so I understand. Check in was quick and the room was nice and cool. Air conditioner was a bit loud but you get used to it. Begins to blend in, so I actually slept really well. Just good they have good air conditioning, given it was hot outside. They are a dog friendly hotel and for the included breakfast they offer a voucher for the restaurant right next to it,, which I did not partake of, but it's a nice touch. I am not sorry I stayed here.

As a Type A over-planner, I was determined not to let that happen. But the moment we arrived at Twenty Mile House, I realized I didn't have to be the control freak I usually am. The TMH team handled every detail with such calm professionalism that I was able to relax and truly enjoy the experience. From the very beginning, we were impressed. Our virtual tour with Rachel made us fall in love with the venue; Kevin and Karen worked with us to make our budget work, Joe gave us a wonderful tour when we returned after booking; and Ashleigh patiently answered all of my questions--no matter how late I sent them. The venue itself feels like something out of a storybook. Every one of our guests raved about the beautiful setting, the accommodations, the incredible staff, the ceremony site, and even the fact that there wasn't a restrictive noise ordinance. Everything exceeded our expectations. Not a day has gone by since our wedding that I haven't said, "I wish I could do it all over again." Choosing Twenty Mile House was one of the best decisions we made, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Twenty Mile House offered all of that and more! Ashleigh, our coordinator, answered all of our questions quickly and made sure our day ran smoothly. A lot of our guests say this is the best wedding they have been to in a long time. I cannot recommend the venue enough!:)

It is a shared bathroom but it was not too busy on the weekend so it was not a big deal. Each room also came with their own sinks so it was all good. The owner was very helpful, has tons of trail recommendations and even suggested sights to see on the way to our next destination. Both our dinner and breakfast were really sumptuous! Breakfast was a nice surprise, not the bagels and muffin type but real food breakfast. Overall, an amazing stay as we explored Lake Almanor and hiked Lassen peak.

The food was delicious and clearly prepared with care, and it really added to the cozy lodge atmosphere. A special mention goes to Sharon, who is an incredible host and a wealth of knowledge about the area. She went above and beyond to help me plan my time in Lassen Volcanic National Park, offering excellent suggestions for routes, trails, and hidden gems. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to make the most of every moment exploring the park. If you are looking for a place that combines comfort, great food, and genuine hospitality, all within reach of Lassen's natural beauty, St. Bernard Lodge is absolutely the place to stay.
