I received a text the same day my doctor sent in the RX in notifying me it was available for pickup almost immediately. It's nice that they send you a link to checkout and give you the option to pay in advance even as a guest. You don't necessarily have to create an account like you do at Kroger pharmacy. The Kroger app is quite frustrating at times. Unfortunately my most recent trip there was not a 10/10. I was told the medication would be ready the day I called but when I showed up a few hours later they informed me they were out of stock. Two days later this is still the case. They DO have a delivery service so in the future if it's not urgent, I may opt for that instead. The staff is friendly and it's always nice to support smaller businesses. Bonus that there are probably less coughing and sneezing people at Apotheco than CVS or Walgreens.

The check in process was smooth and very organized. They sanitize your hands as soon as you arrive, take your temp and have a spot for clean and used pens. The rooms were nicely decorated to give you a good vibe. I scheduled for eye exam and contact lens exam. I am a first time contact lens user. I had an exam last year with another eye doctor's office but I felt like I did not get enough support, patience and teaching from the other eye doctor's office and hence I did not continue/succeed with using contacts last year. But as the famous song goes, "If at first you don't succeed, brush yourself off and try again". Not sure if those are the exact words to the song but you get what I mean.lol. And yes so I did try again and scheduled an appointment at visionelle eye care. I am so glad did! I should have chosen them in the first place! Believe all the good reviews you hear and read about Dr. Thomas! She is amazing! Let's face it, going to an eye doctor appointment is not really something a lot of people look forward to doing. I actually dread it that's why I appreciate all the little things and every effort this office does to make patients feel more welcome and comfortable. I could really go on and on about how awesome Dr. Thomas is. She has great bedside manner! She is very personable, her smile and laugh is contagious! She took her time to get to know me, my concerns, family history and the entire exam itself was done with lots of care. You feel like you are talking to a friend and she really made me feel at ease. She was very patient and supportive while I was trying to muster the courage to put the contacts in and out of my eyes. I did not feel pressured and I was constantly reassured by Dr. Thomas that I can do it. She really took the time to be there and coach me. I did not get that kind of support from my previous eye doctor. Hence, I think Dr. Thomas being really supportive helped me a lot to successfully get the contacts in and out this time! I really don't have the right words to describe how thankful I am to Dr. Thomas. Being able to wear contacts even if just on some days is life changing for me. If you are reading this, go ahead and schedule your appointment. As a fellow human being, I would also like other people to have a wonderful eye exam so I am sharing my experience. He is located close to Naab Road and Ascension St. Vincent Hospital on 86th Street. Parking isn't an issue with a large, free parking lot and the building is wheelchair accessible with automated door buttons. Scheduling appointments are easy, wait times on phone and in waiting room is normally short. The office environment is comfortable and the staff is friendly, efficient and responsive. They offer pre-registration, which I highly recommend, as it saves time at your appointment. The office requires face masks and follows all the Covid-19 safety guidelines. Dr. Ludwig is professional but comfortable and amiable. I had a surgical procedure 3 years ago and it went very well. He is respectful, listens well, explains procedures so I can understand and answers all my questions. He always spend an appropriate amount of time at my appointment and doesn't seem rushed. I'm having another procedure in 3 weeks and trust him totally. And those who are interested in his credentials here are the highlights. He joined Urology of Indiana in 2010. Dr. Ludwig graduated with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internship and residency in Urology at Scott & White Hospital, Texas A & M Health Science Center in Temple, Texas. He is affiliated with Ascension, St. Vincent Hospital and Hancock Regional Hospital. He sees patients in many offices around the Indianapolis Metro areas in addition to offering two integrated Cancer Center for Prostate Cancer.
