Best time to go is in the morning. With any good local bakery the donuts won't last long! lol Notice no pictures of the donuts...couldn't get a photo before the co-workers dove in... :D

Delicious donuts at only $1 each!

Great small town bakery, stopped by one early morning only to find out their pastries are only $1 each! Super cheap & great tasting donuts, come give them a try! Definitely recommend!!

Every year I order a cake for myself for mother's Day and my birthday. These are the best cakes ever!

Very friendly service. Loved seeing locals enjoying a cup of coffee together. Grocery store level baked goods at best but great atmosphere:)

Great Donuts! Apple Fritter and Blue Berry was also tasty. They should consider kolache's or meat filled pastry.

Checked out The Lincoln Inn while in town for camp at the college…read more It's a nice spot, and the food was good. We started with two cups of cream of chicken rice soup and was surprised that this bakery didn't offer rolls with the soup, so I chose to use the toast from the meal I ordered. It worked perfectly. I will add that soup was served barely lukewarm. Not ideal, but we ate it. Next, we ordered a Tuna Melt with fries and a Lincoln Inn Special. We both agreed the food was good. Our server was very nice. She was attentive and assisted when asked. We also ordered the Strawberry Crepes to go. But we couldn't stop there, lol. While at the register, there were cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls, so we grabbed one of each. We enjoyed those a little later while we waited for our child who was at the camp. Both were delicious! I think it's great how the photos of many years are going across the walls and that they support the local college and their sports. Such a nice touch. There was a gentleman who came over and introduced himself and asked if I knew anyone in the photos. I do not recall his name. He was kind and told me about the photos and about how he created one in particular which was rather impressive.

The service is always pleasant, and the wait time is non-existent. It's a very pretty place inside, and they always have interesting looking coffee specials. This used to be a really good place to get bagels. They even had a pop-up bagel stand at NIU. But…read moresomewhat recently the place has gone downhill. My last two experiences solidified for me that I'd rather go to Einsteins. My second-to-last time there the guy working put one of my bagels in the toaster after I clearly stated I didn't want them toasted. I repeated this when I saw the bagel go into the toaster. He reached into the toaster and pulled the halves out and threw them in a bag partially toasted along with the other bagel. He didn't wrap them. I asked for two sides of cream cheese. He gave me one. At the check out I told him I needed the other side of cream cheese. He went back and got it. I also said I wanted them individually wrapped as usual. He reluctantly un-bagged them and wrapped them. His coworker sat at a table visiting friends. Then this last time I went in the same worker went to ring me up at the register while someone else prepped my bagels. The guy stopped part way though ringing me up, looked at his phone, started texting, and walked into the back. Not a word from him. The other guy came over and actually rang me up -- turns out the amount the texting guy charged was wrong. I said: "Your coworker walked away in the middle of ringing me up." His response was: "Yeah, I don't know what he's doing." This was at 11:30a. And almost all the bagels were gone, the ones left looked like flat blobs. So yeah. Not going here anymore.
