Teetering between 3 and 4 stars. Small, cute, place, but poor air conditioning on this 93 degree day! We were both too hot (good thing we both eat fast!), which wasn't enjoyable. Joey loved his pork roll bagel sandwich and home fries (cubes). I loved my egg white side. The French Toast was good, but not exceptional or anything. Our food came out in nice plastic containers (plus plastic utensils). Not a favorite of mine, but I get it - easy and probably cheaper than washing dishes. Ellie's is an excellent choice for breakfast , lunch, and now dinner. You can even order breakfast for dinner! I've had the French toast breakfast sandwich (which includes a sausage patty and egg between French toast), the blackened chicken salad, and the Chicken Italiano sandwich (grilled chicken breast, spinach, and Provolone). All three were fantastic! I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu. This place is a gem! read more

With a friend's recommendation we stopped here for quick dine in breakfast before hitting the road. Ordered two egg sandwiches at 8:09am but at 8:35am we went to the counter to find out what was taking so long. Our dine in order was sitting there wrapped up in a paper bag. Out of time we just grabbed it and left. Unfortunately the Kaiser roll for the egg sandwich was stale and we just threw it away. The veggie egg burrito was okay. Wawa would've been better and cheaper and faster. read more

Would have been a perfect 5 star but the chocolate I ordered was Swiss Miss.. not great but not bad either. Everything was warm, nicely packaged, and seasoned well. Those are hard things to find from any Cafe let alone a Diner. Everyone enjoy their food especially the French toast. At least give the locals a shot at providing a nice breakfast for you. read more

Interesting how the price on the picture differs from the price in the menu. No way am I going for those new prices. Lol wow.

The food was good. I will not go again; 1st reason the cooks 2 gentlemen did not have on hair net, nor did I see them wash their hands once. 2nd The bacon was on a open dish or pan not covered and as I was waiting for my food, I was batting flies because the front door was open, after seeing what flies do when they land of things makes me want to throw up and the 3rd No one wore gloves or washed hands. I will never again pay $10 for a bagel, meat and cheese sandwich. Good location and maybe health inspector need to pay this place a visit read more

Today my wife and I decided to go to Ellie's Cafe for breakfast. When we arrived about 10am the place was pretty empty. We took our seats at one of the 7-8 tables in the place. After perusing the menu on our table, we learned that you had to place your order at the counter. The young lady who took our order seemed friendly enough and was busy ringing up a lot of takeout orders. In fact, it appeared that other than the two of us, all the people that were suddenly coming in were for takeout. Our order consisted of an egg, bacon, cheese, and spinach on a toasted everything bagel and my meal ordered was a bacon, egg, and cheese over fried potatoes with wheat toast. I told the woman that we were eating in the cafe. We entertained ourselves while waiting for our breakfasts by watching the surprisingly numerous people coming in to pick-up their meals. After a reasonable time passed the young lady who took my order arrived at our table with our breakfasts packed "to-go". At that point I picked up our bag, canceled our drinks, and paid the bill which seemed fair. Upon arriving home, we unpacked our meals and started munching. To my wife's surprise there was not a trace of egg on her bagel sandwich. How can you forget the eggs when making the sandwich? Seems pretty weird to me. My meal tasted fine however, I thought that the amount of egg was somewhat skimpy. Oh well lesson learned therefore, we will not be returning anytime soon if ever. read more

Sándwiches are bomb.. home fries unseasoned and soggy and cold. Coffee was cold and bland.
