Ellinikon is a cute Greek market and coffee shop. My cousin and I stopped in for coffee. It was pretty busy on a Monday afternoon but we were able to find a two top inside. They have a nice sized patio out front, however most people were sitting inside. I ordered an Iced Caprice Cookie Butter Latte with Oat Milk. After I paid, the cashier handed me a mini bottle of water and informed me that all coffee purchases come with a free bottle of water. How nice! The latte was really good, but very sweet! It tasted better once it was stirred and I enjoyed the cinnamon stick that topped it. The market had an assortment of items like pastries, sandwiches, herbs, spices, olive oil, vinegar, and snacks. The pastries looked wonderful and I probably would have purchased one if we hadn't already eaten lunch. I love Greek food and would be here all the time if I lived in the area.

Ellinikon is a hot spot in town. They moved from a smaller location to this bigger space and really amped it up. Beautiful patio with outdoor seating. Dog friendly patio with water bowls. Interior is all decked out with Christmas decorations. They offer a full drink menu in the European style. There is a pastry case and quick food menu. I had the turkey croissant and it was perfect. The pistachio latte is on their seasonal menu and it's so cute.

I love this place. The service is friendly and you always know your drink will be made with care. Food is always fresh and consistent. The ambience matches the food, fresh, natural, and fun.

Still a great experience. Love my Greek mountain tea--perfect with lemon and mint. Spanakopita slices seemed as though they got bigger... a big plus! And tried a newbie... orange cake. It was calling my name, just looking perfect in the case... had to take a slice home. It was very tasty. My husband almost came back the next day for another slice. Thank you, Sriya, for going above and beyond in making the customer happy!

Yall I never write reviews, however I just knew I had to about this place. I'm truly blown away with not only the presentation of their food, also the way it tastes!! I had a multitude of different pastries (sweet and savory), each one exceeded my expectations 10 fold. If you're in Highland Park, NJ, YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!!!! Support a family business, straight from Greece!!

This place is great. Super cool coffee shop/diner ambience inside, and they have actually good vegan pastries. As someone who can't eat dairy and desperately misses flaky pastries, the vegan leek pastry really hit the spot. I tried a pistachio latte as well and it was so pretty and tasty. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd be back in a heartbeat.

This place is a hidden gem nestled in Highland Park which offers delicious and authentic Greek pastries and desserts which can be paired with a coffee. And, there's a market located inside of the shop to purchase products directly from Greece! I was greeted the moment I walked in and the service was superb - I felt so welcomed (as if I stepped foot into someone's home). If this was intentional, I loved it and hope they keep their inviting nature going. There aren't many cafes like this around, and I hope that this one is here to stay.

I would come back here again and again just for their Pistachio Baklava. I don't know where they get their honey that was drizzled and incorporated into the baklava but Oooooh myyyyy goodness, I couldn't stop raving about it with every bite. It's flaky, filled with tons of pistachios, not overly sweet, AND THAT HONEY!!!! It was all about that honey for me. There are many other wonderful yummy pastries (sweet & savory) on display as well. I have my eye on a few for next time. All the drinks we ordered were crafted perfectly. My son loved his pistachio mocha latte, said he could taste the pistachio. I loved my hot Coconut Matcha. I'll probably go down their entire drink menu one by one in my future visits. We were also enjoying the Fleetwood Mac tracks that were playing inside the shop. Lots of seating inside and out. It's a popular coffee spot. Many Greek imported products for sale as well inside this shop. Service was friendly! Seriously though...that honey!!! Lol.

Wow wish we had tried this market sooner! What a cute spot to grab some Greek treats, breakfast or lunch. Lots of drink choices, omelets or delicious lunch options. We tried the meat gyro, falafel gyro and a bunch of desserts. The pitas were warm with the perfect chew. Falafel had good spices that were balanced with the hummus.

Love this coffee shop! They have parking which is a huge perk especially being so close to New Brunswick! Their coffee is super strong and there's tons of space inside if you want to work from the restaurant. I had an iced latte and didn't order any food but will be returning to try some. The staff is also super friendly and will recommend things if you're debating on what to get. I would say my experience here was better than your usual big corporation Starbucks stores so check them out!

That's when I stumbled across Hidden Grounds Coffee House... and let's just say, this place is not so "hidden" once you find it. I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese toast, and every single component was fresh, high quality, and dialed in. I added avocado (highly recommend), and it just took everything to the next level. Simple, clean, and absolutely delicious. Then came the honeybee latte, hot and wow. Whatever they're doing behind the scenes with this coffee, it works. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and honestly one of those drinks you think about later in the day. This is a non-negotiable order. And because discipline is overrated on a work trip, I added an almond croissant. I should've gotten two. It's filled with something magical, I'm not even going to pretend I know what it is, but it's rich, flaky, and completely worth it. If you're anywhere near Hidden Grounds, do yourself a favor and check it out. This place knows exactly what it's doing.

I remember they had a small room off to the right and there was really no one in that room, and then I realized it was an acai bar where you can get an acai bowl. In warmer weather, they have an acai bar, which is such a cool option to have inside a cafe. It is closed during cold months. My friends got desserts and coffee, and I got an acai bowl and some plain tea with almond milk. The acai bowl was not huge, but it was definitely very good and very filling. I loved the granola. I got acai, granola, fruit, and nut butter, and I really liked it a lot. I was full and happy because being vegan and gluten-free, there are not a lot of options for me later in the evening. While we were sitting and eating, we noticed there was a small prayer room in the back. We were curious, so we went in and took a look, and I thought it was really nice that they have that space as part of the cafe. It looked like there was a holy book, I believe the Quran, and there was a small, quiet area where someone can sit and pray. I thought that was such a unique and lovely touch to honor someone's religious convictions. Overall, I loved this place, and I plan to go back the next time I'm in New Brunswick.

The place was packed with college kids and friends there to socialize. We got the salted caramel latte which was very sweet. I would have gotten a less sweet drink based on the decadent desserts we had - the brownie cheesecake was just overflowing with caramel on top and the tiramisu had an interesting look with the cocoa powder surrounding the outside hiding all the delicious layers inside. Both desserts were $9-10 and were on the higher end price wise, but they were both delicious. There are a lot of options in drinks and baked items, but the tables may be sparse if you're looking to stay in. The later evening hours are big plus if you're looking for somewhere to meet friends in a casual, relaxed environment.
