This is my go-to brunch spot since it's so close to where I live. Super fast and sweet service. I come a little in the afternoon and it's never over-crowded. I love their classic breakfast. Came here for the first time today and unfortunately our experience was underwhelming by far. Started off with espresso which in the description plainly says "over ice." There was no ice, not too big of deal but as the service went on just got worse. My girlfriend joined me and her coffee order came out at least 15-20 minutes after she ordered and was cold. Then the food; pancakes tasted frozen- were cold in the middle. Bacon tasted like beef jerky. Also my meal came with a side of toast that did not come out with the meal. Actually had to remind her I ordered toast. That was also cold. Oh and the worst part of all this was the silverware were dirty. Mine had leftover egg on it and my girlfriends also were not clean. We used to-go silverware. We told the server about everything she really didn't seem to concerned. We did get a small discount. Been to Elly's many times now. Food is really good! This is one of our go-to brunch places now. Pro Tip: Add Cheese and Onions to your hashbrowns!! We did not have a good experience this morning. The service was slow and not very attentive. They served us a piece of yellow watermelon and when we asked for another piece the waiter said that is all they have. We pointed out that the other two plates had red watermelon. He just shook his head... and just asked us if we wanted it. We said no! When they brought our food my plate was was left out. We waited 5 minutes and then had to flag down a server to ask where it is. My wife's omelet was under cooked and just not the level of what we normally see there. Met here with old friends for Sunday brunch. It was amazing. We sat outside on the patio and it was so perfect (4/9/18). I ordered the corned beef hash with over easy eggs. Delicious! My 3 year toddler twins surprisingly loved it. I ordered for them the berries and marscapone cream crepes but I loved those more than them. I got a hot and iced latte, perfect strong but milky consistency. My friends got a veggie omelette and an eggs Benedict, they thought it was pretty good. The first time I visited Elly's I thought it was pretty good. We had friendly service and the food was decent. I ordered the Benedict with hollandaise sauce on the side and I will say, the hollandaise sauce had a nice lemony flavor. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles which he ate, but wasn't overly impressed with. The chicken was a little dry and lacked seasoning. I returned with my daughter this past Saturday and the service was lacking. I was quickly greeted and my coffee with almond milk was served right away, which was nice. After that, it just went down hill. Our server didn't come around for a while, the door was left open so it was cold and I just felt like we were forgotten about. When our server did approach the table, she seemed rush and she didn't take the order down correctly. I caught the first mistake, but she didn't offer different sides or to bring me water and then I never saw her again. Another person brought our food, which was delivered quickly, but he didn't introduce himself and I don't think we were his table. I ordered the avocado wrap with bacon, but it didn't come with bacon. In addition, the wrap just wasn't that good. It lacked salt and pepper and it came with hasbrowns, which were too greasy to eat plus it wasn't the side I wanted when ordering a whole wheat wrap. This place is super close to my house and I want to like it so I'll be back again. Hopefully, it was a bad day and it will wow me the next time. read more

First let me say the environment is very clean and open. Initially the server was very nice. Our order was taken in a timely manner, and then the food came, and that's when everything crashed and burned. My daughter ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were small and the graveyard had no flavor. My wife ordered two eggs sunny side up and corned beef hash from the Ala carte menu. When her order came there was hash browns which she did not order. When she questioned it the server says that's the way it comes. The sunny side eggs were were cooked to a hard yolk. The corned beef hash was dry and tasteless. When the bill came they charged for the meal. When she mentioned it and asked them to correct the charges the server argued. My wife pointed out that she was not asked if she wanted pancakes or toast, which she did for the others who got meals, The manager also came over and had a bad attitude and argued. My meal was lox and eggs. I asked if they could add onions. Briefly after my server came back and asked how I wanted my eggs cooked. This was odd to me because lox Ang's is always scrambled. But I said scrambled. My meal comes and I'm confused. On my plate is scrambled eggs, and beside it is the lox, and in a small cup is some raw onions. I call our server and expressed my confusion and what I was expecting. I asked if they could prepare it that way. The server stared at me for a while and went to talk with the manager. The manager came and I explained what I wanted. After some displeased looks she asked if I wanted her to cook everything together. I said yes, and she had it done. But by the time I got it and with how bad everything else was, and the billing issue and attitudes we got, I would have been better off just canceling the order. We will not go back, and with the never ending places to eat, I'd advise you to eat elsewhere. read more

The cold brew was smooth and delicious - no cream or sugar needed. My other half got the Wild Mushroom & Steak Skillet - the meat was moist, tender, flavorful and juicy. (Umm, can I have a plate of that only please?). I ordered the Benedict on the croissant with Portabella mushrooms and veggies. This was light and tasty, the hollandaise had a nice tang to it. Took a few minutes for host stand to pay attention for checking in, and the same thing happened when my table was ready. Not attentive at all and not even sure who the waiter was because we rarely saw staff. Sat waiting for silverware several minutes after food delivered, and staff that was not our waiter acted annoyed when we asked for some until they realized we didn't have any. Food was as described, but nothing beyond average, and not worth the wait. So many better options near by. The only positive was the happy hour mimosas, would have ordered a 2nd but the check was on the table so quickly it was obvious they wanted to clear us out more than providing customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. My aunt ordered her eggs over medium and the meal came and her eggs were super runny and undercooked. She had requested the eggs be remade, and while waiting she had lost her appetite with the undercooked eggs remaining in front of her on the plate. After waiting a long time for the new eggs (I had finished eating my meal entirely) my aunt requested to forget the new eggs and she wanted a reduction in her meal, since it was mostly uneaten. The manager, Jessica, only offered to remove $1.50 for the cost of eggs. This was unacceptable. Jessica was at the table with major attitude and very defensive. Her customer service lacks majorly. She does not know how to properly treat and speak to a customer. She ended up getting mad and saying she'd just charge for bacon since that was eaten from the meal. Every meal I've ever had made incorrectly at a restaurant the manager's have always taken off the meal and been super apologetic. Jessica was not. No apology for the meal being made incorrectly. Just defensive and super bitchy. Not okay. Maybe Jessica needs a new job, NOT in customer service. Also she said "eggs take time to cook!" Oh is that right, jessica? Did you have to go get the egg straight from the chicken? It takes more than 15 min to recook an egg? An egg at which didn't even come out after 15 min! I would like to preface this review with the fact that - the food is absolutely delicious. Both times I've been here it's been absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, today my fiance and I received very poor service. When we walked in we were greeted by a nice hostess who promptly seated us. When our server came over she wasn't very inviting, nor did she tell us her name or any sort of specials/recommendations. She asked us if we were ready to order, and we let her know that we weren't quite sure yet, and would need a few minutes. About two minutes later we closed our menus and put them down, which is generally a good sign to indicate that you're ready to order. She didn't return back to our table for about 10 minutes, but we brushed it off because we figured it was our fault for not being prepared when she asked. After we ordered, we didn't see her again until she brought our food to the table (the food was hot, and delicious). My fiance decided that he would like a coke, because initially we had only ordered water. She took so long to come back to our table, that we flagged a different waitress over to ask for a soda. The new waitress went and told Mikylah (our waitress) what we asked for, and we still didn't receive a soda for 12 more minutes. The new waitress then brought the soda over without any sort of apology or explanation. We still hadn't talked to our serve, Mikylah, since our food was dropped off at our table. At this point we were completely done eating and ended up waiting over 15 minutes from the time we finished our food, until she came back to our table. When she came back to the table, she didn't have our check ready and had to go back to get it. When she dropped it off we still didn't receive any sort of explanation or apology for the situation. I'm not sure if she was training, or if it was just an off day- but it really was an unfortunate experience.
