I have been going here for over 30 years. I have not been happy with them for the last 6-7 years. They do unnecessary testing. Their prices are outragious! They make you have a yearly exam for your pet. I want to do it every other year. its $65 just to walk your pet thru the door. I see others do not like Dr Zanol. If I could give zero stars I would! This clinic charges for services they never offered. I brought my cat who had her right eye swollen and skin around it with some rash on it. They looked at her ears instead and visibly just looking at cat, had swiped no swabs done with tips. Charges me for cytology that was never done. They still didn't address the actual issue I came for. I told the manager they will be getting bad review from me. Now stay tuned for entertainment from the manager trying to deny how they ripped me off. Make sure they discuss how much the whole visit would cost you, and keep your pet with you every time they inspect your pet so you, and witness what they are doing to your pet. This way you know they are charging you for something they do rather than play a sneaky game like this clinic did. I had a great experience today for my 1st visit to Elm Creek Animal Hospital. All of the staff members were helpful and friendly. Dr. Jennifer Blum was knowledgeable, compassionate and was able to diagnose and treat our pet rabbit without making me feel as if I was being charged for a bunch of unnecessary additional tests. We just moved to the area and of course, our cat gets sick. Upon recommendation from a friend we took our boy to see Dr. Jo. I didn't like the idea of having him go into the clinic while I waited in my car, but the staff put me at ease and kept me informed on the progress of his appointment via my cell phone. Dr. Jo explained the test results and protocol, and midway through his antibiotics regimen, checked in to see how he was doing. I highly recommend Elm Creek Animal Hospital. Great vets, reasonably priced, and always able to get in right away.

Love the vets. Can't say anything less than glowing about them -- especially Dr Reierson, who has been there for us through thick and thin. A person at the front desk is a problem, however. Buyer beware: You may get the wrong medication, medication you have not asked for, etc. Check your bag before you go home just as if you were going through a McDonald's drive-through. (You shouldn't have to, but yeah.) It's happened more than once to us that we got home and discovered the wrong medication, and then the trouble begins. The invoice says that you can't return medication, but if you're getting the wrong stuff, what to do? ... Call the front desk, and the woman there will escalate into an argument with you immediately. Last time I went there, I actually got $110 worth of a medication, flea and tick, that I had not used in many years because our little dog had had seizures. I changed to the topical med back then, and not a single seizure in eight years now. I didn't ask for that new medication, and I was not about to just eat $110. But she immediately began to argue with me...said there was no record of seizures (wrong). Finally she said "oh I see that there was one way back when, but only one" (!!) I was pretty nice about it all but I REALLY wanted my money back. Decided to go to a different vet, and the front desk did not send us some of our records. I asked repeatedly and I still do not have them. I've also called and left messages for a veterinarian to call me back because I am worried that people who don't pay attention might be getting the wrong medication. I feel like the front desk must be screening my calls because I have never heard back from anybody on any of this. And having been a vet tech myself, I do appreciate and love the vets and I just don't think they would approve of this -- I just hope that they see this review. read more

Please be your pet's advocate because this place won't! Dr Zanol should not be a vet! After several appointments and running many blood tests, she said she didn't know what was wrong with my dog and I should euthanize! If I wanted to take her to a specialist I could, but she was too busy to submit a referral! She asked me why I was crying so much at the appointment, after she told me to euthanize. Who says that to a patient?! After getting into a specialist, my dog was diagnosed with IBD, hepatitis which caused mild liver disease. One year later, meds and new food and her liver disease is in remission! Ongoing meds will continue to give her a long, healthy life! If I'd have listened to this vet that day, she would have put down my dog! Maybe she's been a good vet to other patients, but not me and I needed to share. Always be your pet's voice! read more

We called about low glucose levels, his was 44 and normal is 80-120. They told us his doctor was off and we would have to wait till tomorrow, I told her it was an emergency, and she said all the vets were busy in appointments. Cooper almost died because they would not pull a vet to help. We called the owner to complain, but she never called back(not the first time).We were clients for about 10 years. When our dog Cooper got diagnosed with renal failure, they wanted to hospitalize him for the weekend for IV fluids for about $2000.00 which we could not afford. We had already paid them $1700.00 over the previous 3 weeks and could not afford anymore so we opted for SQ fluids at home. We had a recheck appointment set up for 4/29/23 when they called on 4/25/23 and said they terminated business with us and cancelled our recheck appointment because we had complained and said maybe you can get him in somewhere else. Unprofessional and uncaring. All they care about is money not your beloved family member. If you love your animal do not take him/her to this vet. read more

Everyone is so kind and compassionate here. I always recommend this vet to anyone I know. They have been so good to my bunnies whether it's a routine check up or an emergency visit. UPDATE: July 2018 My bunny Chloe broke her leg and I brought her to this hospital for care because of positive past experiences. I'm so happy I brought her here because this place has been amazing to her and my family. The veterinarians were up front with Chloe's care and probability of surviving surgery, and discussed options with my spouse and I with tenderness and honesty. Dr. Blum provided meticulous research and took the time to discuss options many times with our family. Dr. Nevo amputated Chloe's broken leg successfully, a surgery that isn't performed as often as dogs and cats. Seriously, you should see the xray, y'all. She's a pro amongst pros. When Chloe's incision became infected (due to its location that's difficult to keep clean) Dr. Duke provided the most ginger and tender care to my bunny, who was scared and in pain but didn't fight because she felt safe under his care. The real MVP of this clinic and Chloe's care is Veterinarian Technician Brooke H. From the moment we brought Chloe in for her leg, Brooke provided the utmost care and love to Chloe. She also went above and beyond to ensure we had timely updates of Chloe's surgery and aftercare. As many things in life go, Chloe's leg break came at a difficult time for our family. Brooke was the divine intervention we and Chloe needed to care for her injury. I wish I had a big sack of money to give her lol! Chloe is so special to our family and I'm so thankful for this hospital. They continue to show great concern for the quality of life of both 2- and 4-legged, and in Chloe's case 3-legged, creatures on this Earth. Had my dog, Winston, in for teeth cleaning and one double root extraction and also 2 cysts removed. I'm not happy that they were not up front about the prices of the dressing changes. Cysts on tail I was told to come back 3-4 days after surgery. Apparently that one was free. Then told to come back in 3-4 more days for dressing change. Good grief! Leave bandage on till suture removal! But, paid about $25 for a minimal dressing change because I helped. Then told to come in for suture removal in 3-4 days. Still needed a dressing on for sure-- red thick blood on one wound. In the end I refused a 2x2 gauze paid even though it need one. She couldn't even tape it in with a piece of tape-guess they don't do anything without charging. And I was not going to pay. The Elm Creek Veterinary place shout have been up front about the charges!! read more
