The vets at St. Francis have been caring for my dogs since I moved to the area in 2006. While the vets are amazing and take great care of my dogs, the strength of this clinic is the staff as a whole. From the gals at the front desk who schedule the appointments and answer questions, to the vet techs who work alongside the vets, the staff is professional, friendly, and treat my animals as if they were their own. The vets are willing to take the time to explain procedures and answer my many questions when my dogs are ill. I never feel rushed or leave with questions about my dog's care. One of my dogs has had an ongoing health issue which has required several surgeries, and I've never worried about his safety while undergoing anesthesia, as I know how careful they are while treating my dog. I only trust St Francis Veterinary staff and doctors with my 4 legged family members. All the staff members are completely attentive to my animals at their appointment as well as listening to any concerns I may express. I never have to leave my animals side during our appointments. Just to have the staff actually get down on the floor, not care if they are covered in hair and talk "animal" talk to my animals makes it a refreshing experience. My sister recommended this clinic to me when it was time to put my 15 year old dog Cosmo to sleep. They were so nice and understanding of my pain as well as my dog's. They gave him a shot first to calm him that he never even seemed to feel. By the time they came back my dog was so relaxed he was never hurt or affected negatively before his death. There is not one thing I can think of that the people working in this clinic could have done any better. We have been going to St Francis for years. We breed and raise Siberian Huskies and would not take our pups anywhere else. We have a vet 5 minutes from our home, and instead drive 45 minutes to St Francis. They take amazing care of us, our pups, and our clients. We recommend them to everyone! Reasonable prices, great bedside manner, and genuinely care about what is best for your pets. Our usual tech Nikki also makes everything very quick and efficient every time we're in. We had to make a last-minute appointment for our very ill poodle. Dixie was lethargic, low heart-rate, low-temp and had a few symptoms not necessary to describe in detail. We were able to get in within 45 minutes. The entire staff was helpful and concerned and worked through their lunch time to try to find the cause of her symptoms, get all the anticipated-needed tests and the appropriate meds to bring her some relief.
