Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. Well they were supposed to be here last Friday and no call no show. During our phone conversation where I was pretty much berated by the project manager and NEVER given an apology for the shoddy work, I was reminded of how much they helped me out (they gave me two pins for free) and that my review was destroying their reputation. Mind you all payments were made on time and in full so they were more than compensated for their "help". It's really disappointing to have this type of outcome because the 2 crew members did a great job! The faulty railing was installed in fact by the project manager who was eager to wrap up for the day. So here's my update. No need for any further communication about this unfinished work. My correspondence with Jackie their office support was fantastic comparing against others. She was quick on email and I had an appt booked for an estimate within a week or two as it was spring and the weather was getting nice. Joey showed up, took a video, and I had my estimate in hand in a day. He listened to exactly the look and product I wanted used. It was not an easy cookie cutter patio. Their price was in line with the other 3 estimates I got back for the same project. The project started fast because it was going to be a 4 day job so they fit it into a slot of space they had. Within another week or two they had the crew come excavate my backyard patio area and demo my walkway that was concrete and needing replacement. The excavating team was about 5-6 guys and they worked quick to go deep for the patio. Next day they were installing the paver I chose which was a Unilock Copthorne paver. It had to be hand blended and I wanted a herringbone pattern. The backyard patio was a 90 degree herringbone and the walkway was a 45 degree herringbone. Both came out fantastic. His guys were so good especially the ones they are blending and wet sawing all the edges. They work so well together and their team is really professional. I would highly recommend them for your backyard needs like patios, walkways, bbq, fire pits, hardscaping etc.
