I am so glad I found this new coffee shop in Escondido. This place is a hidden gem! There are so many options for drinks and food. Their food has fresh ingredients and does take a little time to make, but it was well worth the wait for me. My favorite so far has been the baby cherry burrata toast. Nice portion and so tasty! Save yourself the headache -- this place is a nightmare for anyone hoping to do homework at a coffee shop (they say they are not a coffee shop when they treat it like one and students have tried doing hw here - doesn't works like that) I spent $20 just to be kicked out of my booth like some unwanted stray, while other solo customers sat undisturbed in theirs. There are only two outlets, and you'll be asked to move after sitting for a while -- even if others arrived after you. Waited almost 30 minutes for 2 beverages (a smoothie and a latte) that cost $19 and i finally had to go ask for the status of my order the buzzer they gave me never rang and the employee didnt care. My hot $10 latte was almost cold. Horrible service. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning but not very busy when we arrived. Our beeper buzzed for our first order, upon grabbing my food I noticed something was missing. After waiting to let the staff know they seemed very confused. While sitting down waiting for my missing food I was met with a bit of attitude from the server that I was wrong about which item was missing. Not a great first impression and did not appreciate that. The breakfast sandwich was great, the smoothie and avocado toast was just ok and the vegan muffin was drier than sand. Went to this place as we saw it was new and looked great! The coffee was horrible!! couldn't drink it. That service was bad and the woman who took our order was rude, and got frustrated when we asked for mild accommodation (ex: something on the side) which she didn't even end up doing. The baby cherry burrata was mid. When we told staff the coffee was awful no effort to repair was made. Than my husbands bowl is literally pre made bacon and CUBED eggs. pre made rubber texture, eggs with no taste. He couldn't finish and had to cover the whole thing in hot sauce. For the cost of this place there is no point for bad frozen food and un-drinkable coffee. read more

My wife and I went to Elmisa Cafe in Escondido today for lunch. We have never been there before. When we got there it was very busy so that was a good sign. My wife had the vegetarian capresi sandwich and I had the Cobb salad. My wife really liked her sandwich and the Cobb salad was very good as well. Nice little place with very friendly employees. Elmisa's Cafe is super zen and chill vibes as soon as you step inside..I got myself a shot of espresso over ice and a healthy breakfast bowl w/double turkey and it was bomb. This is one of the best examples that healthy food doesn't need to be boring, bland, unflavored. The healthy breakfast bowl really is unreal. The ingredients are fresh and perfectly paired together.
