I am very disappointed with my recent experience with Eddy. I went in expecting a blonde color and instead left with hair that was noticeably red. The color was completely different from what I requested and discussed beforehand. I even showed him colors of what I wanted. The haircut was also not done well. One side was cut significantly shorter than the other, and the area around my ears was cut so short and uneven that it went down close to the scalp. The overall result was very choppy and lacked any blending or consistency. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was not even close to what I asked for. Unfortunately, I left feeling upset and unhappy with both the color and the cut. My granddaughters wedding is this week, I don't even have time to have this fixed elsewhere. I've been going to Elms since 2019, and the team is highly skilled and very friendly. Eddy really knows what looks best and understands exactly what I want for my haircut--he gets it quickly and gets it right the first time. The only downside is the price, which has become a bit high lately due to inflation. Regardless, I would not entrust my hair to others. She didn't listen to what I wanted. When I said something about how the color was wrong she insisted that it was because the highlights would only be visible outside in strong sunlight. She started to straighten my hair and I had to tell her to stop, I didn't want a blowout much less my hair straightened. As mush as she insisted it wouldn't look right if I didn't let her continue; it was horrible I had to wash my hair a dozen times (not an exaggeration) before my natural texture started to come back. read more

I should have just waited instead of going to the first available place. Next time clean your ears and listen when the client says Blue Black and don't insult my intelligence by saying it will be blue highlights in the sunlight because of the silver in your hair. It's so hard to find someone that knows how to color Asian hair. I have gone to several different places and my hair always ended up orange. So I have been reluctant to get my hair colored again. A few months ago, I requested to be blonde from root to tip. Mind you, I have been blonde for quite some time now and my hair can withstand it. I believe my hair was over processed because they kept the bleach in for quite some time, longer than normal and even added more through out the processing time. After the rinsing, it was blow drying time and I swear to you, as they were brushing it, more and more hair was breaking off as they combed through it. I was so dissatisfied with my hair and service. The man that cut my hair was rude and had just smoked a cigarette before coming inside. My cut was choppy and he wouldn't fix what I didn't like. For context I didn't get layers or anything specific, only a trim. I had just PCS'd to the area and didn't know what a hair cut would be and was surprised to be charged $85 dollars for JUST a trim. No layers, bangs or specifics. I left feeling worse than when I went in after paying $85 dollars for a trim. NO blow out, wash, or even quick style. I've been a customer here for almost 5 years, I take my kids here and I refer people here. Today I experienced bad customer service. I made an appointment for a haircut for my daughter at 5pm with Eddy. I get there 10 minutes early and they ask what I was there for. I told them my daughter has an appointment at 5 and they told me they would be right with me. There are 6 other people there, 5 were getting their hair colored. I waited 30 minutes before the lady said she would be with me in 15 minutes, 15 minutes later, we were still waiting. We waited a total of 45 minutes. Waste of my time! I get that hair color is more money but I didn't expect to wait almost an hour after my scheduled appointment. Needless to say I will not be returning here. Eddy, I did not make it for 5:30, my appointment was at 5:00 and no one said to wait a little longer. It's ok though, good luck to you! read more

Eddy is really great stylist. It has been a long time since I came out of a salon loving my hair. This is my second time getting a haircut and color from Eddy and I think he did an amazing job on both occasions. I recently got a bob cut and ombré color in ashy blonde, and he gave me exactly what I wanted. The blonde was not brassy and the haircut was straight and even. I've contemplated on cutting my hair for months. I grew it down to my butt and was ready for a big change. I asked Eddie to cut it short to my neck. He was sweet and asked me multiple times if I was absolutely sure that I wanted to go through with it. And I absolutely don't regret coming here to help me! I have decent result for my hair but I was stress with the service the entire time. Edd is skilled with cutting but has a very very very heavy hand. I got a few burns on my scalp from when he was ironing my hair. I asked for a brazillian treatment and color. I told him Im not expecting my hair to be straight I just want some treatment to lessen the frizz. When he saw that my hair was very curly he had sighed* multiple times. maybe it takes more work? but just made me conscious and uncomfortable the whole time. He also keeps pointing out all the wrong things about my hair- whIch I am already aware and its exactly why im getting a treatment to make it better. It just made uncomfortable and conscious the whole time. Researched around the area, I usually go to sacramento, but I was tired of the commute. As i walked in i just waited a couple minutes and watched as others got cut and was impressed. Then it was my turn with Eva. She was very clear on her explanations and gave great advice on what to do with my hair. She layered well. Prices are reasonable prices $35 cut, but i probably could have gone without the $20 shampoo. Will definitely come again maybe for a color. I decided to do a walk in on a Saturday and they were able to take me in. I had only wait 30 minutes...which wasn't bad as they were a bit busy. I believe the owner was the one who cut my hair. He was really nice and took his time. I had a lot of thick hair. He was able to thin it out and give it layers. I love how my cut came out. I feel so much lighter! My layers look even and natural. Although the cut was decent it looks nothing like the photo of an asymmetrical bob. Also, the cut is decent if you either dont have wavy hair or own a flat iron which is neither of my situation. I have wavy hair and dont own a flat iron since i burn myself every time ive tried to use one. I told the lady that i use a blow dryer to style but....so now Im in panic mode trying to find another salon to fix my hair or paid hundreds of dollars for a straighteing treatment. I got my hair cut and colored in early August. The cut was not as expected, but due to health challenges, I could not address it until recently. I called the salon and Eddy invited me over right away. He fixed the hair cut and I was out of the salon promptly without having to pay another fee.
