Well...it's been awhile since I've had a haircut so I was definitely nervous about trying a new place. Iris took time to understand my fears and wants. I wanted a trim and was afraid of getting my long hair chopped off. For some reasons hairdressers I've had in the past interpret long layers and a little trim to be thin shoulder length hair What I can say is Iris understood the assignment! She is very good at giving a nice scalp massage with the shampoo- that alone was worth the entire trip. It felt like therapy, so relaxing. When it was over, I ended up with long beautiful hair with long layers and face framing. I felt pretty and that is the best feeling to leave a salon with. She also took time to understand my hair care routine and make some suggestions. Overall excellent experience and I will definitely be seeing Iris in the future! read more

Finally found a salon in Vacaville that gave me a great cut and color!! It's a fun place done all in black and white! My stylist was young and easy to talk to, and talked to me about what I was hoping to do! Last stylist at a different salon was very nice, but when I asked for highlights, she gave low lights and everyone asked why my hair was so much darker. She gave a classic bob, but longer in the back and shorter in the front. I wanted the opposite. Jen at So Lavish gave me the cut and color I was looking to find! First since I moved here I love how my hair looks. She perfectly blended my white/gray with blonde. I can understand why they have consistently good reviews, and am glad I found it! I went to So Lavish yesterday and got a cut and color from Jenny. She was great. I felt like I learned so much about my hair. Jenny really listened to what I had to say and educated me on products to use and how to style my hair. I have thick, naturally curly hair, which is hard to work with sometimes. Due to moving from Fremont to Vacaville, I hadn't had anything done to my hair probably since the summer. It was different shades of my old color, natural color and gray. Jenny was able to match the color to my natural color and evened everything out. She was so friendly and helpful so already have my next appt scheduled 6 weeks from now. I have had a hard time finding a hair stylist who will give me exactly what I need and talk me through their plan for my hair, and she did EXACTLY that! I was looking for a new place to get my hair done and because of all the awesome reviews i read I thought I would give this place a try and I'm so glad I did. I called to set up an appointment and the receptionist was very nice. They were able to get me in on the day I requested which I was pleasantly surprised with since I only called a couple days ahead of time. On top of the great customer service the salon itself is adorable. The decor and vibe of the place makes it somewhere I just wanna hangout at. Having not had my hair done in a looooong time I was a little hesitant to do such a drastic change but looking at all the pictures I thought if anyone can do it this place can and that's just what they did. Allie was my stylist and she was great... so sweet, patient, knowledgeable about what she was doing, explaining the process to me, she made me feel comfortable making for a great experience all around.
