We ordered breakfast burritos for dinner. They were good, but maybe the biggest thing I would recommend they change is to add meats to the menu. Ground beef didn't go as well in a breakfast burritos like bacon, sausage or chorizo would.... I'd go back again and try something else. read more

So underwhelming. You would think for the extremely overpriced food, it would be decent. The black bean tacos tasted like NOTHING. Not one bit of seasoning...no salt, no pepper, nothing. Waste of money. Severe decline over the years , young kids who don't care about the job and only want money. Mike the manger is an awful person never is helpful and always seems to be in a rush. They will NEVER offer refunds instead just give you store credit which I no longer want as the food has made me so sick and not to mention every single time I try to give them one more chance they ALWAYS forget something in my order. Did some door dash take out. Food came pretty quickly. It arrived packaged well and very much still very hot. Got some tacos and 3 subs (first time getting subs) They are always solid with the tacos and burritos. Seasoned well, and filing ratios are good. The subs did not disappoint either. I love love that they have seeded rolls!!! We got two half subs they were so packed and could have made a whole sub out of it. Hate to say it but feel the subs are way better than their tacos. I don't suffer from Buffalove and I'm pretty realistic about how Buffalo food stacks up to other cities. But in a city famous for its wings, subs in Buffalo are really underrated. The Italian sub at ETS is as good as you'd get anywhere. Better even. read more

ETS has gone downhill over the past 2-3 years. Overpriced, incorrect, sloppily prepared orders just aren't worth it anymore. It doesn't matter if you put way too much meat on subs if you're going to skimp on the cheese. When someone orders a Beef & Cheese burrito then don't load it up with weird lettuce and end of life tomatoes. The staff doesn't seem to care and the owners seem absent. We would always stop in when in the city and sometimes make the drive specifically for ETS. After tonight's messed up take out order for $50+, we are going to take a break. read more

Prices a bit high for soup consistency beef tacos and burritos. I mean if you're on that 420 and need some quick don't care what it is munchies go for it. Not the absolute worst tacos I've had but def not the best. My biggest gripe is quality to price ratio. 5 bucks for one taco, no thanks. Not for that. read more

I love this place, i really do, i have for years. I just feel its a tad overpriced. Okay the food is good, i love these buffalonian, american style tacos (i don't know how else to describe them, but certainly not authentic) with fries (kind of like something you'd get at jim's steakout). Pretty decent sized menu, definitely something on there for everyone. The quesadillas are lovely too. I havent had one thing from here that i didn't like. My only issue is...that it is essentially a fast food spot. Like the tacos, although great, are very similar to....mighty taco? But three times the price. No shade! I love the spot! But a two taco meal for 16 dollars is wild. I only stop here when i'm feeling frugal. Actually, one last issue, the seating SUCKS! I guess its so people don't hang around too long? But those benches and stools are so hard, slippery, cold and uncomfortable. Sometimes i dont want to eat my greasy mexican style-food in the car, ya know? Overall, i like ets. Stopped in at ETS to experience a Buffalo staple. The food was descent, but the service was slow. They took forever to make the food and the drink refills seemed to take twice as long. We would come back, but I hope the service picks up. They did have a great vegetarian menu as well! read more

I decided to -for the first time in my life- have a chicken finger sub, so I went in with my husband and we ordered one to split. It was terrible -the chicken fingers were all breading and so over sauced. Very disappointing as I enjoy their fish tacos. Just average I wanted a better experience for my first chicken finger sub! On the plus side the restaurant was clean lots of parking and they're open till 10pm. read more

We had breakfast at ETS. I had a breakfast burrito with eggs and beef, made spicy. It was so good. Just like I remember ETS tasting like! We also had a yougut parfait, very good. Had another burrito with bacon , egg, bean, and cheese. A+ very good. Had potato mashers, mmm tasty. The breakfast menu is new. All the items we had were very tasty and made with quality ingredients. We were set up in front of ETS for the arts festival, so decided to get breakfast there. Egg tacos and supreme burrito were incredible, as was the GIANT chocolate chip cookie. Breakfast was so good we went back for lunch - amazing fish tacos! The owner is very friendly. The inside is so clean! We're so glad we found ETS and we'll be back! read more

Elmwood Taco and Lies- Here are the "nachos". I asked what were on the nachos "cheese and guac or salsa if you get those." I see no cheese, this is a bag of chips. I asked "how big are the nachos?" They said "they come in a pretty big bag" - regular bottle of Cholula for reference. Not bad chips, definitely overpriced, just don't false advertise. Fix your menu, I'd buy nachos if you actually made them. One star so you can be motivated to not lie so much. read more

Meh. It's fine but I feel like many years ago it used to be better. Went in for a ham sub and waffle fries. The staff were friendly and they're practicing covid rules it seems: social distancing and cleanliness. However, you can't use the restrooms. They're not allowing that apparently...maybe because they'll have to clean them? Weak. Fries were great. Not sure how one can screw that up though. Sub was just ok. I asked for the oil dressing on the side and never got it. They don't have pickles to add which is something I like very much. Not enough ham on the sub either. I'd prefer Mike's Subs on Delaware in Kenmore. Guess ETS is ok in a pinch but Jim's Steakout is across the street, too. There are a few seats outside to eat but only about 3. Inside has plenty of seating but due to covid spacing out is necessary. read more

I've been avoiding trying here due to the negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised with my experience! I was cat sitting next door and ordered this through online ordering since it was close. Ordering was easy and my order was ready before it even said it would be. I enjoyed the burrito and taco I ordered. It was nothing fancy but good quality fresh ingredients and it was quick! I pulled up to the drive thru to pick up my order but because I ordered online they told me to skip the drive thru line and handed my order to me out the door. I waited 10 minutes for the one car in front of me to order, and another 5 to place mine, then another 5 behind them waiting for their order.then it was my turn.... Disgusting overpriced breakfast. For 1250 one gets something on a flattened croissant-ish thing..... it's flat. How to ruin a croissant? Flatten it. Would you like a fluffy yummy buttery croissant? No, please flatten that sir.... Said no one ever. Anyway, if you still want one of these DONT get the meal. It adds 4 bucks, and I get a drink n 'hash browns'. skip the 'hash browns' four maybe half dollar sized tasteless grease slicks. I ordered a milkshake and a 12" cold sub to go. It took over 10 minutes for my food to be done, and watched several people who ordered after me get their food and leave. I got home and opened my sub to find a 6" not a 12". Totally got jipped and because it took so long I couldn't check it while I was still there. read more

We stopped in after a Halloween party last week and this place just isn't how I remember it. This is a well know taco/sub place in buffalo and people are really fond of it. After this last visit it just seemed average at best and a little overpriced. The heat scale is high. My medium chicken finger sub was pretty spicy for medium. My favorite part of the meal was the waffle fries hands down. The drinks were pretty small but you can ask for free refills. Seating seems a little limited if there was a crowd. Since I'm not really a taco person myself I'd say there's much better places in buffalo for a chicken finger sub if you're looking for that. read more

Man what happened to ETS? This used to be my favorite spot.. now they close early and "don't make subs after 9:30" no phone orders after whatever made up time they feel like they day.. and even if you manage to get an order in, it's not the same ETS. The sub rolls are stale now, you also get a smaller portion of chicken fingers or steak, and I can't explain it, it just tastes off. It's just the little things that ate off that add up. Now it's in the same caliber as Jims, which ETS used to blow Jim's aways. The customer service is a bit lacking, morale seems low. I hope to see this business doing well again soon read more

After ordering inside there was about a 30 minute wait for our sub sandwich and fajita taco . The man working the register nipped at my 10 year old daughter who was covering her face with her hoodie due to her face mask string breaking off 6 minutes prior, telling her to wear a mask next time and sneered at her when she had told him it had broke . Today I went here because I was hungry and around the area and looking for something new to try and eat. I went around at night and ordered a chicken burrito with rice and and sour cream. When I got my food I sent in my car and took a bite, the chicken was dry and looked as pale as Dracula had no seasoning at all and the rice was soggy like it had been in water all day, they gave me a pinkie finger nail size of sour cream and it was at the very bottom and all around it was was just bland and cold. Minutes later my stomach straying to hurt and turn after I ate it. I will never come here again and especially for that cost, would definitely not recommend to anyone. 1 star read more

Orders through the drive thru, and was greeted with a welcoming voice. Order two supremes, waffle fries and chips and guacamole. The hot/spicy definitely lives up the the name. The grease that the fries and chips are cooked in leaves a smell and taste, so it's probably old. The side of guac is pathetic for the price. Glad we tried, but won't return. read more

This is my first time here. My boyfriend found it on google when we were looking for simple and quick bit after work. It is located in a hot spot right next to Starbucks too. I love how it has a outside seating cause it was very convenient for my puppy. I ordered 3 tacos: fish, beef, and chicken. Aw man the fish taco was delicious. It's a small and simple taco but the fish and the cabbage in there was a good combination. The class beef was good but not as good as the fish one. As for the chicken, it was a little dry to my tasting. I find the mild salsa to be a little too spicy for mild. It was perfect for me cause I like spicy food. The wait was a little bit too long for me. I wait almost half an hour for my food. The cashier wasn't too friendly as well. Other than that everything else was great! The food is a 5, everything else about it is zero stars. I used to love ETS for a hung over Sunday or as a late night snack. The fries with cheese or with bbq sauce is truly magical. Also a big fan of beef hard shell tacos (mild with no tomato and a side of sour cream imo is the best way to order). Just really hits the spot. Service is beyond slow even if the place isn't busy. They get orders wrong all the time then have an attitude about it... it's part of the charm? I guess? The owner is also an absolute PSYCHOPATH about the parking lot. Literally so unhinged. They have a tow truck come and wait in the lot on weekends. I get that with such a big lot and elmwood being a popular place they probably have some issues with non customers using the lot. I recently parked in the rear lot behind Starbucks - there is a large sign which says the lot is for Starbucks, the bank, ets and the other places next to Starbucks and walked in to grab a coffee on a Sunday morning. After realizing the line was extremely long and waiting in it for a couple of minutes, I left and went back to my car. I decided to mobile order my coffee, make my grocery list quickly, and drive down to the coop, then come back to pick up my coffee. I was sitting there for maybe 5 minutes and the tow truck guy came over and took a video of me sitting in the car/ driving away. I thought it was bizarre since I had only been parked there for about ten minutes total. Upon returning from getting groceries, I parked in the same spot behind the building that I had been in before and walked in to pick up my mobile order. It was chilly out, so I used my car starter to keep the car warm while I went inside and I was gone for 5ish mins. When I got back to the car the guy with the tow truck was literally parked by my car getting ready to tow it and was telling me it's "dangerous" to park there because the lot is only for those places ... even though I had two coffees in my hands and a receipt. He also told me it's a good way to get the car stolen (it was locked and you wouldn't be able to put the car in gear without the key...plus it was 11am). I told him we didn't need to be having this conversation because I was a customer at a store listed on the sign, and my car had not been stolen in the 5 mins I was picking up my order. He then said it's illegal to leave the car running so I could get a ticket. I could see the value in having someone there to tow cars if the lot was completely full and it was obvious that most people were not patrons of the businesses listed for the lot, but lot exclusively for ETS was almost totally empty. Having someone harass people is a huge turn off and now I kind of feel like I don't really need a hard shell taco, Dr Pepper, and waffle fries with bbq from ETS literally ever again. read more

Ok.... I live down the street from this place and when coming home late at night I decided to grab a cheese quesadilla. Super simple right? Well it was probably the most disappointing/digesting thing I've eaten..... given this is a "quick bite" place, but how the HELL do you mess up a cheese quesadilla? Over the past few years (even before COVID despite what the owner will try to tell you) things have gone down hill Prices have gone up, while quality has gone down Now, expect to pay about $12-15 for a sub to find a severely lacking sandwich, barely any lunchmeat, lots of lettuce to cover the fact, the "fresh baked rolls" are tough due to the fact that they will cook them, but won't use them all before a few days and they sit in a fridge. Until they are used. If you think I'm just being "one of those customers" go buy a sub and see what you think. Go buy a taco and see if your happy with the ratio of filling/price.
