If you need to be in Cathlamet, that's where you put in, but the marina is old, dirty and run down. The folks were very accommodating tho

    County Line Park

This is a fabulous little county park. It's located right on the Columbia River. During season…read morethe banks are filled with fisherman because there really are fish to be caught here. The RVs back into sites along the river for great views of the river and ships traveling up and down. There's restrooms and showers. Sites have 30 AMP hookups with water and dump at the west end of the park. In years past we had stayed at this park many times but hadn't stayed in the last couple years or so. However, things have changed and this last trip wasn't as pleasant as the ones before. Well, the park hasn't changed. It's still fabulous. However, there's been a change in host and that did make a difference. Signs are posted all over the park that dogs must be on leash. Dogs off leash make it difficult for others with or without dogs. Plus, little droppings are missed when the owners aren't with the pets. We could no longer use the beach area when the weekend rolled around with our dog. When one dog is on leash and others are off, it's difficult. The tenters never leashed their dog either. However, when the host's dog is ALWAYS off leash, it's not possible to enforce the rule on others and it wasn't. We used to feel this county park was definitely a 5-star. I'm still giving it 3 stars because of the location. The location is fabulous.

Its not a full setup site, but the do have a dump and water station and it's more for smaller RV's, mine is a 1989 Class C. It comes with 30 amp electricity. Great areas to walk my two dogs and they have pet cleanup locations, everyone was very pet courteous using leashes and keeping their pets in line. Right on the Columbia River, small beach and great fishing. I was woke up one night around 4am from a ship horn. I thought a semi truck was plowing through to kill everyone. Nope just very foggy I will come back as much as possible. Call for reservations.

The picnic tables that were new a few years ago are now falling apart and need to be replaced. We were very disappointed that the restrooms are permanently closed. We booked a four-night stay weeks in advance. While my husband was checking in, I took our two dogs out to a secluded grassy area to pee. They were on retractable leashes, and I let them off leash while they peed. As I was walking toward the beach by myself, the employee rushed up to me in a golf cart, stopped abruptly beside me, and immediately began yelling at me and accusing me of letting my dog poop in his grass; and that he knew I knew it because HE kicked up grass afterwards. I explained that my dogs had been peeing and that they are female, so peeing and pooping look very similar, and that one of them kicks grass after she pees. And I told him that if one of them had pooped and I somehow missed it, I would absolutely pick it up, as I always do. Instead of simply asking me to check, he continued yelling, called me a liar, and when I asked him why he was actually yelling at me, he told me he didn't want "disgusting people like me" staying at his RV park. When I again pointed out that he was still yelling at me and acting irrational, he said we were being kicked out and that we had to "get the hell out of here." We completely understand having rules about pets and cleaning up after them. Our dogs go everywhere with us and we always pick up after them. We also spend a lot of time at RV parks and have never experienced an employee acting as mentally unstable or hostile as this person. We no longer felt comfortable or safe staying there and were left without the four-night lodging we had reserved. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here be aware of our experience.
