I'm astonished at how much more in touch with my body I'm feeling after only two sessions with Eloise. I've had sciatic nerve problems since I was young (thanks genetics!). I recently had an episode, easily the worst I've ever had. I couldn't stand up straight, and there was a nauseating pain that could only temporarily be relieved by laying on a hard flat surface with my knees to my chest. Discovering Eloise was the best thing to happen to my lower back. She took the time to explain what exactly was happening to me and why, and even gave me tips and methods to try and prevent the episode from recurring again. As a first time recipient of acupuncture, I arrived to my appointment not knowing what to expect. All I can say is the treatment worked better than anything else has in the past. I was able to stand up straight immediately after the appointment, and the pain gradually subsided within hours, feeling back to my normal self within a couple of days. The woman is magic. read more

First, let me start by saying that Eloise is wonderful! She is gentle, compassionate, intuitive, a good listener and a great technician. Some background about me: I have pretty severe osteoarthritis, degenerative stuff going on in my back, low back pain with pain going down both legs and knee pain. I'm 55 and in a pain management clinic prescribed the highest dose of narcotic they can give me without going on morphine. That's the next step, a long acting morphine combined with a short acting class 2 narcotic like oxycodone for breakthrough pain. I really don't want to have to go there. I injured my back in college when I fell 40 ft. from a rope flat on my back into water, an Army ROTC activity that went wrong. That injury combined with my weight, which has been up and down my entire adult life with a good amount of time spent as severely obese, is what has contributed to my pain issues. I was so lucky to have my brother and sister in law treat me to an initial session with Eloise when I was visiting family in Southern California. The treatment was amazing. The experience was relaxing and rejuvenating and resulted in decreased pain. I was so impressed with Eloise that I saw her two more times before returning home to New Mexico. During treatment with Eloise I was immediately able to see results when I was able to go significantly longer between pain pills and was able to decrease my daily amount by 1 pill. She used a combination of therapeutic massage and acupuncture, also utilizing essential oils. She did a thorough assessment of me and my issues prior to beginning, asking me all kinds of questions. The information from this assessment is what lead her to use the specific combination of techniques that she used with me. So it is fair to say that my treatment was tailored to my needs and not some sort of one size fits all treatment. After the first session she checked in on me and prior to beginning the next session she asked questions to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. Doing that she was able to build on the improvements I had already experienced. Eloise sent me back home with information and suggestions to help me find a local acupuncturist that would best meet my needs. We have communicated a number of times since I have been home and she has provided me with her input regarding local providers I have found through my online research of what's available in my area. While I have, very unfortunately, not been able to resume acupuncture treatment at this time due to financial concerns it is a priority for me, as while I did not become completely pain free I experienced significant pain reduction. I expect that for my case I would need more sessions over time to completely resolve my pain and then a checkup every so often, kind of like a tune up to maintain the improvements. Knowing this gives me so much hope that I won't have to take morphine to curb my pain. I learned so much from Eloise and experienced such an improvement in my three sessions with her that I expect to return to see her when I next visit Southern California. For those of you who may be considering Eloise I cannot say good enough things about her. I would highly recommend her. read more
