The day they gave him his first shots they gave him 7 total,at once, after we had already discussed spreading them out. His staff was extremely rude and they talk about very personal information i n the front office. I got to hear a conversation about the Receptionist who was going to screw her husband over with alimony! In very graphic vulgar details. Getting medication refills was a complete and total nightmare! I could walk into his office into his office and be in complete and total pain. You would get rude service from the receptionist addition to the doctor not really caring. He Lack of compassion, comes off very uncaring unkind and stone heartedness. I'm sure the first visit he's fantastic but if you continue seeing him and you're in pain then you better find yourself a different doctor. Way to make people lack faith in the medical system!

Any questions you have are answered with a detailed response. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer she called me personally on a Saturday to tell me, she could have easily passed that call on to the radiologist to make but she didn't. When she called me she had already left a message for the surgeon and had made an appt for me with the Nurse Navigator at the Sutter Women's Health Center. I agree her staff is just OK. I often feel that I am bothering them when I need to schedule an appt or am checking in for one. However the practice Doyle Park Family Medicine recently joined with the Sutter North Bay Foundation which may help the staff issue. I agree that the world could use many more Amy Shaws

She has the very best manner a doctor can have and works WITH her patients and not AT them. She is attentive and personable. She's handled every kind of ailment from colds to migraine headaches to "female" issues to a heart attack and everything else known to human kind with consistent excellence and enthusiasm. She knows her stuff and does it well - even with our nightmare insurance industry clogging up the system. Her staff is ... ok. Some are great and some are poorly prepared to deal with human beings and our propencity for theatrics when we're not well. Her office manager isn't very accomodating. However, Dr. Shaw is such that she outshines any deduction in rating her staff may cause. She deserves a lot more than this yelp. Too bad cloning hasn't been perfected, this world could use many, many more Amy Shaws in it.

Do you think I would learn to schedule the first appointment in the morning!? My appointment was at 9:30 i waited 45 minutes in the lobby to go to the back room for a seven minute visit. Worst part is the girl that checked me in grabbed a file at 10 am and put it on the counter and said oops. I'm not 100% sure that was mine but I'm thinking it was because five minutes later the lady called me back they told me the doctor was running 20 minutes behind, but he was running 50 minutes behind.

Ok fair but he is a medical professional himself, was sick for three weeks (already been to urgent care who said he needed to follow up with his PCP for anything further). So he gets online and schedules another appointment later that day, now the office calls him and says the doctor is too mad at him to see him later that day and he has to be seen the following week. Currently his blood pressure is very low because of recent weight loss, at least we can manage all this because of our own medical knowledge. He still has head congestion and can't hear well. I had a problem with this doctor previously because of a mix up at the pharmacy that was his and the pharmacies fault, and wrote a negative review here. Now my husband is apparently being held responsible for my issues with him. Are there any good doctors left, because he actual is a good doctor, very knowledgable and has really helped him.

I've not seen her yet; i have no idea. All i can say is there are no Doctors in Santa Rosa so i feel like i better keep my mouth shut before i get kicked out of her services... but i was actually really to do paper work which i finished right on time at 12:44. I am a really busy person and out medical system in America is really falling a part. I'm waiting and will continue this review when she finally shows up. She's now 25 minutes late and the receptionist said nothing about her being behind today....(?). Now it's 1:10. Pm. Came out to ask and a lady says can i help you? She's the nurse practitioner and says oh I'm so sorry. I understand this dr also has another business helping people to lose weight. I'm wondering if this is a front for the other business she has to help people lose weight? It's now 1:15 and the dr came out of the other appointment, grabbed my name that was on a sticky note on the door I'm waiting in ( i purposefully left it open after i stepped out to ask what's up with my appointment timing). She did not say hi, or that she'd be right with me, just grabbed the note off the door. She looks young and nice like in

Jennifer is responsive as a concierge doctor but inexperienced, lacked compassion and empathy to me…read morefor a difficult situation. She is not the kind of person you would share difficult things for fear of criticism rather than compassion and understanding. I originally decided to work with her because I've experienced woman doctors are often more understanding, compassionate and often more curious and driven. Once I explained my thinking on what might be involved in a complicated problem and her answer was " that reminds me of medical school". She had no idea about what I thought meant even though it was basic physiology taught in medical school. I don't believe she thinks about underlying mechanisms of a problem and its symptoms but simply follows medical society rules and doesn't understand that often fails a patient. I once explained that I had medicated myself with good reason during COVID and she told me "you are not the kind of patient I want in my practice". I trusted her as I have many PCP's over the years and she threatened me and made me feel awful. That was the last straw. If you are healthy, minor issues and want simple referrals, she will be good. If you need a test, a medication for an infection or complex problem referral, forget it. She has a strong anti-medicine symptom management view. Taking too many medications is not good but don't expect anything except the basic no matter what the problem or suffering. I had a number of phone calls with her about a problem and it always got contentious. I always felt down after most discussions. That's not good. Doctors need to have compassion, avoid contentiousness at almost all cost and have some therapist like characteristics. That's not her. Not even close. If you have a complex problem, don't expect her to look at medical papers or take a serious interest. She is a very basic doctor. I spent 20 years at Kaiser and I would rate her well below any Primary Care I had there. Sorry to sound negative but that was my experience. Concierge doesn't help unless the doctors is a good one with some curiosity and critical thinking and not dogmatic.
