Very close to the stadiums. This was a nice minute walk to the bridge and then only 1 mile to either stadium
    Jason M.

I really dont understand the negative reviews here. We stayed 2 nights for a football game at Paycor and could not have had a better experience. The rooms are older, but it was clean and has a great set up. The location is perfect, an easy walk to any stadium, the tailgating area, dozens of bars and all the parks/walking trails. The staff was the best part. The checking was effortless, the people friendly, the food really fresh and tasted great. There is a full bar, breakfast buffet and snack shop. Overall this should be a top choice to consider as a home base for cheering on your team or staying for business.

    Sink and Tub wouldn't drain.

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Covington several times over the years, and unfortunately this was, by far, my worst hotel experience. Although check-in is advertised as 4:00 PM, our room was not available until after 7:30 PM due to a late checkout and the room not being cleaned. That delay completely disrupted our plans for the evening. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. As soon as we entered the room, we found the bathroom mirror light flashing like a strobe light. We reported it immediately, but it was never repaired during our stay. Once we had time to inspect the room more closely, we found issue after issue: * I stepped on a loose screw left on the bedroom floor. * The furniture was covered in a thick layer of dust, so much so that you could clearly see the outline of the TV remote and even write messages in the dust. * The bathroom sink was clogged. * The bathtub showed obvious signs of disrepair. * The carpet in front of the refrigerator remained soaking wet throughout our stay. * Housekeeping was virtually nonexistent. Towels were replaced, but the trash was never emptied, the empty tissue box was never replaced, and the beds were never made. For a stay costing more than $450 for the weekend, this level of cleanliness and maintenance is simply unacceptable, especially for a Hilton-branded property. What has been even more disappointing is the customer service afterward. I reported these issues at checkout and was assured that management would contact me. After hearing nothing, I sent a detailed email with photographs and videos documenting every issue. Including that email, I have now reached out twice and have yet to receive any response whatsoever. Everyone can understand an occasional maintenance problem or operational issue. What is much harder to understand is the complete lack of follow-up when a loyal guest takes the time to respectfully document significant concerns and provide management with an opportunity to make things right. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property until significant improvements are made in both housekeeping standards and customer service.

We had absolutely the worst experience here at this hotel. The staff was excellent, but the amenities were terrible. We moved rooms 3 times due to different items. The power went out on our last night and we had no electricity in our room to take showers. In the dark. We stayed here due to a family reunion, which we had 80 people with about 35 rooms. We were told the power outage was due to a citywide situation. When it was only the hotel that we were staying in we have requested compensation for at least one night. We haven't heard back from them yet. The ruins were all cold due to none of the heat operations were working. Lots of the furniture in the rooms were either old or dirty. The sink in my bathroom fill in, and there was no safe in one of the rooms we were in.

The vent was caked in dust as well

I downloaded Yelp just to leave a review because this hotel was so terrible. 1. I booked through a 3rd party website and requested a crib for our room. The day of our reservation I called to verify we would have a crib. I was told I could request one once we got there. We arrived around 9pm and requested a crib at checkin. We were told they were in the middle of changing staff and would have one to our room by 10pm. We wandered around the hotel and found things to do. Around 9:45pm we went to the desk to validate our parking ticket and once again checked on the crib. At 10:15pm we ended up calling and a very very dirty and disgusting pack and play was delivered to our room. Thankfully I packed a fitted sheet. 2. When we parked in the garage it was very difficult to find the hotel entrance through the garage. We opened doors for the hotel but it was only a stairwell and we had a stroller with our baby in it. We found an elevator and we ended up in a different building and had to walk through it to get to our actual hotel. The entire hotel was very poorly labeled. A map would have been useful to find the pool as we walked around for awhile before asking the front desk. 3. The rooms were very dirty. I'm not sure if they were even cleaned at all. Stains on the bedding, disgusting bathroom, dusty, crumbs, etc. I turned on the shower faucet and water came out both the shower and bathtub faucet and the bathtub was slow to drain. I was in standing water during my shower. 4. Breakfast was labeled as "made to order" so I thought it would be more restaurant styled. The only thing "made to order" was omelets and it was a very long line. The other food was cold and bland. My husband and I had to wait for clean plates, forks, and cups. 5. At checkout we asked the best way to get to the garage and we were told "around the corner and down the stairs". My husband and I shared a look with each other as we had our baby in the stroller once again. Another hotel guest helped us carry the stroller and bags down the stairs so we could get to our car. I said "God forbid someone in a wheelchair stays here". Overall I was very displeased with my stay. I will never stay here again and told my sister to not book here for her upcoming trip.

    The potty/bathroom was disgusting....

We (3) reserved the 2 bedroom suite...we were celebrating my sister's birthday. When the room was not ready at 4p, I was hesitant to stay, so we went to have a late lunch. When we returned to check in Brian was so unprofessional and just a nasty person with an attitude. 1. He kept saying he was trying to find us space after we showed our reservation confirmation and the upgrade we had recieved. 2. He loudly stated that the card we had on file had declined even though we had confirmation the card had been charged. I have never been publicly disrespected and humiliated at any of their locations - oh wait this is the first time! After he could not find something else to admonish us for loudly in front of the others who were also checking in. He finally issued the keys for suite 320. When we arrived the door was open to the room. My sister went back down to the desk to alert them that the door was open and we were not entering because we were not sure if it was occupied. Brian was not helpful, just so happen a person from the housekeeping staff was walking by and asked my sister could he help, he went up to the room and went in to inspect, no one was in the room , he sprayed air freshener then he came down to get us from the lobby with our luggage to say the room was okay. Thank God I travel with a bag of cleaning supplies - we had to literally clean the entire suite, the bathroom was disgusting. If we hadn't drove more than 2 hours to get here I would have went somewhere else. When is the last time this place has been renovated.. everything is old and musty smelling and yall charge 400 plus a night for a literal dump...SHAME ON YOU!

I stayed here recently for four days. This hotel is definitely past its prime. I was part of a larger group, there were 80 of us ladies who stayed. The view is stunning as you are parked right on the Ohio river and overlooking Cincinnati. We stayed in the hotel and did not leave for any of our meals. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel. We had a ballroom there assigned to our group and spent each day in the room. There were more than one pair of ladies that had issues with their rooms, one pair that sat at the table with me changed rooms twice because of issues like no hot water. My experience was slow draining tub, dirty tub, carpet was old, stained, and balling up getting those fibers on everything. In the restroom areas in next to the ballroom there was tape holding the toilet paper roll carrier up. The carpet in the ballroom was in the same shape as my room. You may ask why I am giving 2 stars? It is the stellar staff! The staff at this hotel was nothing but kind during our entire stay. They went out of their way to try to make us happy. The gal making made to order omelets in cafe in the mornings was super friendly. The staff putting our food out for lunch and dinner were great. Our bartenders did a fantastic job also even though there was only one bartender and they were faced with a long line each night at 5pm because everyone had a coupon for a free two drink happy hour. They didn't rush anyone and everyone got their freebies. I stayed at this hotel years ago when it was in better shape and really Hilton needs to take the initiative to overhaul this place and make it grand again. Probably my last stay here until they renovate.

2nd room dead roach behind couch, 2nd floor

ROACHES!!! And big ones!! Stayed last night 7th floor room. Lysol sprayed everything upon arrival because of anything is coming out it's coming after you spray. Got up for breakfast came back to room BIG roach sitting by trash can. Called front desk to send someone immediately. Guy came roach ran behind couch. Lifted couch roach started running towards bathroom and he stomped it into the carpet THEN walked on the bathroom floor to get tissue with the same shoes. No housekeeping on duty. Went to have room changed and 2nd room, 2nd floor next to fitness room dead roach behind the couch and toilet handle broken. I wasn't going to unpack until I thoroughly checked the room. That was it. Back to the front desk and left the hotel. Went next door to Marriott and it was absolutely amazing. Clean, no carpet, updated rooms, amazing staff and not a roach in sight.

I had a two queen bed suite over a Friday and Saturday night in early August. I arrived at 5:00 PM and my room wasn't ready. Typically when I have tried to check in any hotel and my room isn't early, I'm usually asked for my cell. Not here. Not even welcomed as a Hilton Rewards Member. I ran to dinner and then was able to check in around 6:30. Same attendant, same nonexistent level of friendliness. Got my room at least. There is a Managers Reception each night from 5-7. Different free drink options are available. Bartender was great. The room. Had a suite. Sitting room was spacious, sink, fridge, microwave, couch, chair, everything looked to be in good condition. In the bedroom, the carpet had seen better days. Definitely frayed. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room temperature was weird. Very little circulation in the bedroom, even with the thermostat set at 68, never went below 73. Housekeeping, argh. Asked for housekeeping, never got it. Asked again at 4 and the front desk made a production and eventually cleaned but more drama than needed. You get a the complimentary breakfast each morning which is restaurant quality. Location is phenomenal. If you are attending a sporting event you just need to walk over the bridge. Close to Covington or Newport. They do charge 12.00 per night. Overall I liked the hotel but it can definitely use some TLC. Disappointed with the front desk staff but everyone else was extremely friendly.

Garbage can ring, missing toilet cover

I wouldn't even give this 1 star. 0.5 star for great staff, view, and location. Otherwise, see pictures attached... by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, especially at $300. No blankets for the pull out couch because no laundry staff on duty overnight??? Rooms are dirty and not well maintained. Would never recommend this place and will not be back. Disappointed in Hilton and huge room for improvement.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

So my Bookings app brought up this place, which is close to the ballpark. So I booked it for 6/3. When I got there I was told there would also be a parking fee. It is what it is. I was given a room up high, maybe floor 13. Lucky me! I will note the view is the best part of this hotel. My view was of I75, meh, but it's still nice to look from above at cars and trees. I would have loved a view of the Cincinnati skyline, though. Well the vibe of the place is dark and there are warning signs about car break ins so I brought everything inside. The elevator was interesting but pretty small and the ride was shaky. When I got to the room it looked ok but definitely not that bright and welcoming. I thought a perk would be to go out on the balcony and check out the view. Unfortunately, the door was locked and the door wouldn't budge. I was able to see out the windows, but they could use a good scrubbing on the outside. I reminded myself that I wasn't there for the room I was there for ribs and baseball so didn't spend much time in that room. I was able to make it to ballpark and park then walk to the rib house and back to ballpark by the 2nd inning. I returned back to the hotel after stopping at the Plum Street Cafe which is near the 4th and Plum where I once lived. Driving back, however, my app sent me around downtown Covington until I realized I needed to turn in an unmarked alley by the gas station to enter the lot. To quote Run DMC It's tricky, tricky, tricky! I headed back to the room and then a darkish walk to the ice machine. I really think this place could use some updates or cut the price point from $152 to $75. The halls also echo in the night. On my billing statement that just came from Amex it indicated that I stayed there on 6/2 instead of 6/3. I didn't take many pictures since there are plenty online already. The room itself wasn't awful but the sheets were stained and the bathroom shower had no curtain or doors so water would get everywhere if you used it. The outlets were so loose it was hard to charge anything and the Internet was so unbelievably slow. We also ordered strawberries and champagne for Valentine's Day. We only got 4 strawberries and 2 of them were rotten. Avoid here at all costs.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Save yourself the stress, frustration,…read moreand financial loss. Do not book this hote My room was absolutely filthy. I took photos and videos immediately and showed them to the front desk. Honestly, I should have canceled on the spot, but the front desk clerk, Ms. Kristina, was kind and asked me to try another room. That second room was somehow even worse than the first. At that point, I canceled my stay entirely. I was specifically told that once the manager, Jennifer Jacobs (who has been avoiding my calls since), returned the next day, my refund would be approved because I booked through Booking.com and manager authorization was needed. That approval never came. Instead, after 11 days of calls, messages, follow-ups, and being given the runaround, I learned the General Manager denied my refund request. Let me be clear...I never stayed in either room. I was presented with two unacceptable, dirty rooms, forced to scramble and find another hotel, wasted time dealing with staff and customer service, and still ended up out $500. So the hotel's position is apparently ... they can offer unsanitary accommodations, fail to remedy the issue after a second attempt, inconvenience the guest, and then keep the guest's money anyway. I literally feel violated. Again, don't book this hotel, and think twice before booking through Booking.com as well. See the screenshots from the video I took of the second room they tried to give me. Dirty pillow, dirt smudges in shower and doorway, and (the worst) butt crust on the toilet seat.

They have a bar and small dining area that has beverages, snacks, and refrigerated and frozen items for purchase. There is breakfast service in the morning, but it's kind of like a gas station grab and go where they make the items for you right there, but it's nothing special (breakfast sandwich, burrito, etc.). Although it is not included, there was really convenient self-parking nearby that was only $25, I believe, and you could have in and out privileges. The staff at the front desk were really nice and friendly at all hours.

Warning: Bed Bugs…read more Before booking this property, be aware that I experienced what I believe were bed bug bites during a stay here. I documented the incident, including photos, and contacted the hotel, Marriott customer support, and eventually Marriott's Office of Consumer Affairs, even cc'ing CEO Anthony Capuano, all at their direction. Unfortunately, I felt like I was passed from one department to another without anyone taking meaningful ownership. I never asked for a refund. I simply wanted Marriott and the property to acknowledge the issue, investigate it, and take steps to prevent it from happening to future guests. The experience came back to mind recently after my daughter encountered bed bugs at another hotel. If you've dealt with them, you know how miserable the bites can be and how easily they can travel home with you. Fortunately, we took the proper precautions and avoided that. My biggest disappointment was how little seriousness Marriott seemed to give the issue. Before staying here, I strongly recommend checking the property's history for bed bugs. I wish Marriott had taken my experience more seriously.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service. I can't remember the name of the young woman at the front desk, but she went above and beyond by recommending a local sushi restaurant, and it turned out to be fantastic. That personal touch made me feel truly welcome. Plus, she upgraded me without me asking! My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The on-site laundry facilities were a huge convenience, especially for an extended work trip. Breakfast was excellent each morning, with a great selection and quality. The only minor downside was that the fitness equipment was out of service during my stay. However, the staff came up with a great solution! They allowed guests to use the gym at the neighboring hotel, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding Hampton experience. As a Diamond member, I've stayed at many Hampton properties, and this one truly stands out because of the professionalism, friendliness, and genuine hospitality of the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel and will gladly stay here again if I'm in the area.

The table in our room had dried up crusty stuff on it. We let the front desk know, but the two younger girls running reception shrugged and said they'd let their manager know. This was immediately after we checked in, around 4pm. No one ever contacted us, so it didn't seem like a manager was ever informed. Or maybe the manager simply didn't care. I went to use the hair dryer later that evening and discovered it didn't work. We again let the front desk know, but no one seemed concerned. They have an outside area in the back and it's nice to sit. We had dinner out there and enjoyed it. The pool water was very cloudy, you couldn't see your own hand underneath. I'm not sure if that's normal or not! The breakfast was okay but they were out of a lot of things. No yogurt, no apple juice, no real butter (only vegetable shortening), no bagels. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels and I've never stayed at one so dirty. If we're ever in this area again, I would definitely not return.
