Hotel Covington is a beautiful boutique hotel write in the middle if Covington city. Our room with high sealing and spotless interior was spacious and elegant. Very clean as well. The only downside was the check in area, which located beside a busy livery restaurant bar, making the lobby noisier than expected for such a refined property. Checkout was also slower than anticipated even with only a couple of guests ahead. Still, the room itself was lovely and the has undeniable charm. Sorry I forgot to take photos.

YE Gurl Says: Staycation Style at Hotel Covington Place: Hotel Covington - Covington, KY Stay: While the beau was off at medical training Sometimes a "tag-along" trip turns into its own little getaway--and Hotel Covington made that easy. The first thing that caught my eye? That curved headboard, giving full Santorini meets Arhaus vibes. Add in the playful wallpaper and chic furnishings, and the room felt both cozy and curated. The hotel sits right in the heart of a revitalized downtown pocket that somehow channels Nawlins energy--a central courtyard, lively atmosphere, and the kind of hum you only get when a space is loved by locals and travelers alike. It's easy to see why so many weddings and events happen here; there was one in full swing during my stay, adding a little sparkle to the night air. Though I was only there two days tops, it left a strong impression. If you don't mind the short drive over the bridge into Cincinnati, this spot delivers the perfect balance between boutique charm and city access. YE Gurl says: Hotel Covington is where southern warmth meets design-magazine detail--ideal for a quick getaway, a romantic weekend, or just tagging along while bae's busy saving lives.

Exceptional hotel experience. We chose valet since in city, and the staff was kind and helpful. Front desk experience was quick. The bar is surprisingly a lively fun environment and had a good crowd in the evening. Our room had a comfortable bed, stylish decor and was very quiet. The room darkening curtains work well and we got a sound nights sleep. The coffee bar downstairs in the morning has a free plain brewed coffee as a guest, or they can whip you up any magical concoction you want to pay for. Every detail was exceptional. The hotel is located within all g distance of quirky bookstores like hierophant and Hedge, restaurants like Epic Tacos and you could keep yourself busy without using your car.

Covington, KY is such a cute town and just across the bridge from Cincinnati. We heard Hotel Covington was the jewel, so we decided to stay here for a friend's wedding. It did not disappoint! Beautiful lobby! Great staff and service. Our room was charming and swanky. LOVED the bathroom. There's tons of restaurants and shops along the same block, so there's no less of a good time and little to no need for ride share.

We stayed at the new Hotel North. We decided to do a little staycation night across the river in Covington. I'm pretty sure we were the first people to ever stay in the room. There was some painter's tape in the bathroom and closet area. Also, when the blow dryer was running in the bathroom, the lights would flicker in the bedroom. I don't think the place is haunted, just an electrical issue but still spooky! Good thing I'm a strong guy. Also, it was weird that although the hotel was pretty empty, they placed us in a room right by a big fan blowing in the hallway. Seemingly to dry a leak? That said, the hotel is beautiful. It's very cool. The fixtures and accents in the room are sick. Clean lines. My style. The bed was super comfortable. Great blackout curtains. Great location. Very clean.

Had such an amazing experience here. Sometimes when you book at an independent hotel, you don't know what to expect. And in the past, we've had a really poor experience booking with an independent hotel. However, from booking to check out -- this experience was 5 stars. The hotel is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond (so friendly), the room itself was high quality (down to the little things), and the restaurant Coppins did not disappoint either. I understand why this hotels reputation is stellar. If we find ourselves in Kentucky again, we certainly will book here again. I couldn't have asked for anything more, if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Covington, please give this place a shot!

Beautiful hotel! Room was fantastic. Definitely has an upscale feel throughout the building. Only issue was the bar service. Very disorganized and understaffed. Massive lines for 1 bar tender while 2 others did prep work right in front of all of us waiting. When I finally got my drink it was below average. Tasted like an Old Fashioned out of a bottle.

I arrived really late for a business trip and had selected this location based on a recommendation of a co-worker. Check-in was swift and its located on the corner of an active street in downtown. The room was cozy with little touches that I appreciate such as the little box on the desk area provided a historical overview of the hotel, an affordable snack bar, and good toiletries. I had lunch in the restaurant (Coppins) the following day and the burger was great. I enjoyed the coffee bar and sitting in open area. I took several business calls and enjoyed the space. The only con I noticed was that the lightening is quite low in the hallways. However, this is likely intentional to fit the aesthetic and theme of the hotel decor. TIp: instead of using the hotel address within the Uber or Lyft app, put in the hotel name. For some reason, the address routed the driver to another location (8mins) away in a non-desirable area.

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Covington. They allow my husband to check in early to decorate my room! I had no idea! The parking was no problem...you can do velvet or self parking ...we did self parking and it was $12. They have a nice restaurant inside and also the hotel is surrounded by places you can stop and have drinks and food. The hotel is pricey (but I'm not rich sooo...lol), I did one night and it was a great experience! Staff was very friendly!

Other than small inconveniences that did not affect our stay, we had a plethora of towels, the ac was powerful and the shower water was nice and hot. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. We used the pool, which is small but warm. I received two drink tickets as well. The evening reception was a nice touch. My kids got free nonalcoholic drinks, some snacks, crackers cheese, veggie tray, sweets and chips and salsa. We were still full from lunch which was walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was actually phenomenal. A whole room of food and made to order omelets. Breakfast staff was also really attentive and kind. Parking is $12 if you don't need to leave otherwise it's $22. We arrived early hoping that we could check into our rooms but they had been full the night before. We requested a low floor for my elderly parents and just gave up at 4:30 and took the first available room. After check in, I needed to park my oversized truck. I was directed to oversized lot behind the property. Once I pulled into the lot I see a sign but many of the spaces also had old faded signs that said "No Parking". I parked next to one of my relatives two spaces away from on one of the signs. My brother in law also found a space on the opposite end of the row near one of the signs. We go up to our room and unload our stuff and the door to the bedroom just falls off after I close it. We call maintenance and after a couple hours they finally fix it. The AC at this place is on blast. Even if you turn off the thermostat it will still keep blowing. The TV's act as though they are stealing cable. Every 5 minutes the TV will blank out and sometimes power off or they will constantly say "No signal". There was a TV in the dinning area that was doing something similar. They had football games on from last season and you couldn't watch because it kept scrambling. The next day, I'm sitting next to my cousin on a trolly on our way to a museum and she gets a call that her truck had been towed that morning. This was the vehicle I parked next to. My vehicle had also been towed. I talked with security at the building that I discovered actually owned the parking lot and they informed me that I had parked in an unmarked loading dock. They also mentioned that they had sent someone over to the hotel to have us move the vehicles but because the hotel doesn't ask for license plates when they charge you for parking, there was no way to find us. For some reason they did ask us what state the vehicle was registered in. $180 and a $20 Uber. I asked to speak to a manager but he wasn't scheduled to come in until 4pm. At 4:30 I come down to talk and the desk attendant gives me the run around. She hands me the number of the building that actually owns the lot and says to call them. Apparently the manager must have been hiding in his office listening to the whole conversation. Right after that the he comes out and attempts to give me the same number. Then he refuses to discuss the matter with me. I then demand that he take the parking off my room since he refuses to take any ownership of the problem. He gets in front of the computer and says its been removed. After the exchange Brian one of the nicer desk clerks walked out and spoke with me in private to try to deescalate the situation. I appreciate his efforts. The condition of the property made sense after trying to speak with the manager. Later we learned that the actual over sized lot is further down an alley and not where the sign is (See pics). That night my wife and I are sitting at the bar and decide to order food. I ask the bar tender if we can charge the food to our room. We get our food and the bar tender also hands me the bill. I charge it to my room and probably spend another hour at the bar. I eventually go to my room and my cousin calls me and says that they charged them for my food. I come down to take care of the bill and the same bar tender I spoke with tells me she said yes but that the other bar tender spoke to me and told me they couldn't charge my room. The conversation with the other bar tender never happened. Later we learned that their system was down and that's why they couldn't charge rooms. The next morning I go to eat breakfast and its horrible. The omelet station's line is out into the seating area. I decide to just get some buffet items. There isn't enough utensils so all they had were forks. The staff kept running around gathering up the plates in order to quickly rewash the utensils. Its not the workers fault that management doesn't prepare for the volume of people booked for the property. Saturday afternoon we return back to our room and it hasn't been cleaned. We call down to the front desk and they say that they will send someone up but that never happened. My wife was not happy. On Sunday this circus was finally over. I check out and you guessed it. The parking was never taken off my bill. I tell the desk person the whole history of the towing incident and she eventually takes it off my bill. I checked my Hilton Honors points this morning and low and behold there's no record of this stay (3 rooms). This place is no good. Avoid at all costs!

So my Bookings app brought up this place, which is close to the ballpark. So I booked it for 6/3. When I got there I was told there would also be a parking fee. It is what it is. I was given a room up high, maybe floor 13. Lucky me! I will note the view is the best part of this hotel. My view was of I75, meh, but it's still nice to look from above at cars and trees. I would have loved a view of the Cincinnati skyline, though. Well the vibe of the place is dark and there are warning signs about car break ins so I brought everything inside. The elevator was interesting but pretty small and the ride was shaky. When I got to the room it looked ok but definitely not that bright and welcoming. I thought a perk would be to go out on the balcony and check out the view. Unfortunately, the door was locked and the door wouldn't budge. I was able to see out the windows, but they could use a good scrubbing on the outside. I reminded myself that I wasn't there for the room I was there for ribs and baseball so didn't spend much time in that room. I was able to make it to ballpark and park then walk to the rib house and back to ballpark by the 2nd inning. I returned back to the hotel after stopping at the Plum Street Cafe which is near the 4th and Plum where I once lived. Driving back, however, my app sent me around downtown Covington until I realized I needed to turn in an unmarked alley by the gas station to enter the lot. To quote Run DMC It's tricky, tricky, tricky! I headed back to the room and then a darkish walk to the ice machine. I really think this place could use some updates or cut the price point from $152 to $75. The halls also echo in the night. On my billing statement that just came from Amex it indicated that I stayed there on 6/2 instead of 6/3. I didn't take many pictures since there are plenty online already. At that point, I canceled my stay entirely. I was specifically told that once the manager, Jennifer Jacobs (who has been avoiding my calls since), returned the next day, my refund would be approved because I booked through Booking.com and manager authorization was needed. That approval never came. Instead, after 11 days of calls, messages, follow-ups, and being given the runaround, I learned the General Manager denied my refund request. Let me be clear...I never stayed in either room. I was presented with two unacceptable, dirty rooms, forced to scramble and find another hotel, wasted time dealing with staff and customer service, and still ended up out $500. So the hotel's position is apparently ... they can offer unsanitary accommodations, fail to remedy the issue after a second attempt, inconvenience the guest, and then keep the guest's money anyway.
