The great thing about a road trip is you go where you want go and stay where you want to stay. I started to book a room at the Tru by Hilton in Sharronville but looking at the logistics of making it to the game from Lawrence, KS I knew I didn't want to check in so far away and battle traffic to get to the stadium. So my Bookings app brought up this place, which is close to the ballpark. So I booked it for 6/3. When I got there I was told there would also be a parking fee. It is what it is. I was given a room up high, maybe floor 13. Lucky me! I will note the view is the best part of this hotel. My view was of I75, meh, but it's still nice to look from above at cars and trees. I would have loved a view of the Cincinnati skyline, though. Well the vibe of the place is dark and there are warning signs about car break ins so I brought everything inside. The elevator was interesting but pretty small and the ride was shaky. When I got to the room it looked ok but definitely not that bright and welcoming. I thought a perk would be to go out on the balcony and check out the view. Unfortunately, the door was locked and the door wouldn't budge. I was able to see out the windows, but they could use a good scrubbing on the outside. I reminded myself that I wasn't there for the room I was there for ribs and baseball so didn't spend much time in that room. I was able to make it to ballpark and park then walk to the rib house and back to ballpark by the 2nd inning. I returned back to the hotel after stopping at the Plum Street Cafe which is near the 4th and Plum where I once lived. Driving back, however, my app sent me around downtown Covington until I realized I needed to turn in an unmarked alley by the gas station to enter the lot. To quote Run DMC It's tricky, tricky, tricky! I headed back to the room and then a darkish walk to the ice machine. I really think this place could use some updates or cut the price point from $152 to $75. The halls also echo in the night. On my billing statement that just came from Amex it indicated that I stayed there on 6/2 instead of 6/3. I didn't take many pictures since there are plenty online already. I did get an exterior shot at 10:34 the next day as I prepared to make the drive to Pigeon Forge, TN. read more

We spent the night here for Valentine's Day and our experience was not great. I do want to say that the staff was very friendly and helpful. Immediately upon arrival, even though I paid ahead of time weeks ago, I had to pay an additional $200. Then the elevators were old and shook and made so much noise I thought they were going to get stuck constantly. Then, all the hallways smelled like smoke and weed. The room itself wasn't awful but the sheets were stained and the bathroom shower had no curtain or doors so water would get everywhere if you used it. The outlets were so loose it was hard to charge anything and the Internet was so unbelievably slow. We also ordered strawberries and champagne for Valentine's Day. wow. First of all the guy at the desk checking us in. When he got done belittling a guest checking out, and talking to himself, he turned his attention to us. Never welcoming us. He muttered and sighed and told us he had no reservation. He finally got us a room and when we really got a look at the place...oof. Very dilapidated and something told me to look up reviews about bedbugs. Sure enough recent reviews about them popped up. We decided to find another hotel. When my boyfriend went back to check out the same guy was on the phone chatting with his foot up on the counter. He proceeded to finally tell the person on the phone that he guessed he should go cause three people waiting in line. The service alone should have you avoid this place. I was very polite and explained that when I booked it was twice the price and now it was less. The desk clerk transferred me to the office manager, who actually HUNG UP on me. Incredible. BEWARE: BED BUGS! Reservation: 4/10/26-4/12/26 We arrived late, did our usual check and sure enough. We went downstairs and made the front desk aware, they were already aware of the bug situation. They apologized, acknowledged that it was a known problem & offered us another room hoping this one might be a little better because all the surrounding hotels were sold out. We decided to give it another chance.... That room had bed bug fecal as well. The next morning when we returned to the hotel, we checked another room that our child was in and they had it as well. (He stayed with his travel team and asleep when we arrived Friday) We pulled him out very quickly and spent our morning at the laundromat, taking all of the precautions not to spread it or take it home. Trying to find a hotel on a sold out weekend and spending 1/2 the day at the laundromat was a huge inconvenience and was not in our plans for the weekend. The staff we encounter Friday night was very friendly and seemed annoyed that housekeeping "Couldn't even do their job to change what had the bed bug fecal on it". Disappointed that they would even allow guest to stay in these conditions as it can be very costly for those who take it home with them. It appeared to be the rooms that had the hardwood floors that had bed bugs. I did check two other rooms that were carpeted for someone else and those rooms had brand new mattresses, plastic mattress covers on them and showed no sign of bed bugs. 3/5 Rooms had signs of Bed Bugs. Under the new management, I've come to find out that they are beyond contemptibly rude. Especially the new general manager. This past Saturday, some very dear friends of mine came into town and I wanted to take them to a great place. Well, the 18 restaurant is running with nothing but a skeleton crew on a Saturday night. I've been in hospitality, industry for over 30+ years and I picked up on that right away. My server Nicole, who was overwhelmed with more tables than she can handle, was doing her very best. And so was the other server. But, a restaurant that has as many tables as it does, typically there are five or six servers with a bartender. And I noticed that there wasn't one of those either. The kitchen staff I counted was four. And I could see that from out on the walkway. Basically, we had a lousy night, 815 was our reservation. So at quarter till nine, Miss Nicole apologized, stated she's being pulled in 15 different directions and that they were only two servers that evening. My response was wow you've got to be kidding! We placed our drink order and it took quite some time. But, as I walked around, I realized the servers were also making the cocktails. Again because they have no bartender. We had ordered a couple of appetizers to start the evening, which I can honestly say we're OK. My friends had ordered the artichoke spinach dip along with a French onion soup. The French onion soup is phenomenal. I will tell you that right now. So, we waited a while we told Nicole we weren't in any hurry at that time. But another 45 minutes, goes by, and I can see the concern on her face. She was overwhelmed beyond contempt. Food was coming out wrong, people were complain, complaining, and she was frazzled to say the least. A little while later, Alexis came over and talked to the table and explained and apologize what was going on again. But, we told them we understood for that part of it anyway. So we placed our order, by this time it's 915. We've been there an hour. My friends ordered the steak with carrots. My wife and I ordered the chicken marsala, which was really good and my wife got the salmon, which was questionable. At this time I come to find out the chef, that had been there for over 10+ years, had left. They had no leadership and the people that were there, were doing their very best to say the least. But my friends dinners, both came out cold, including the side dishes. We asked for the management and or for them to be taken care of, and they were put in the microwave. How do I know this, the end that was cut off of the steak was shriveled and the center of the stake on top when you cut it in the center, was tough and Brown. it's just a trick of the Trade to get it back out to the table and not have to cook a new steak. As I walked the restaurant that night, I seen the only person that was not overwhelmed. Was the host. Young man doing what he could. But all of the staff was overwhelmed. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays if by chance there are enough employees or waiters and or waitresses, if there are too many, common sense says start cutting that staff. Let them go home however you wish to look at it. But Saturday night was crazy. I know these servers are not making squat by the hour. And I don't understand why management abuses their staff like this. So, I called Monday afternoon looking for the GM known as Farris. I left a nice voicemail asking him to call me because I wanted to discuss that evening and its events. Two days go by and on Wednesday, I called the hotel and asked for his email because he does not apparently, like to talk to the general public and deal with issues and problems. So, I sent him a letter via email. Last night I had received four separate calls. All four of them saying no caller ID. Just like everyone else, I sent it to Voicemail. So I noticed after the fourth call, I answered it. And what do I hear on the other end? Farris: Is this Eric? Me: I said yes how may I help you? Farris: this is Ferris you can go fuck yourself! and then hung up the phone. Now I understand why this hotel has gone downhill. The management is beyond rude. I'd like to use other words, but I'm trying to stay professional and let you know how unorganized this facility truly is with management. My email basically called him out and the owner ownership on how bad they are treating their employees. Long-term employees. I will admit, times are a little rougher these days. But when you've been going to a specific restaurant for over 20+ years because how nice, professional, and fabulous employees who have become a family, are starting to look for new jobs, it's because of management, and has NO clue what they're doing. First, we were put in Suite 722 -- A/C didn't work, the phone and TV were broken, mirrors were dirty, and brown water came out of the faucet. Well I will start by saying the staff was friendly but I was in what they said was an upgraded room and if that was upgraded I would hate to see what a not upgraded room is. To start the plugs by the bed didn't work so I went to the plugs under the tv and guess what they didn't work either as well as the lamp by the TV so then I tried the plugs by the sink and they were positioned to where you couldn't plug anything in so finally my last stop was the plug by the AC unit which finally worked which is just ridiculous and if you read the reviews from other people you will see that this is a re occurring problem. Then off to the sink which was so clogged that it would take an entire day to drain and finally I stayed 4 nights and not once did my room get cleaned even though they said it would be done on the 3rd day had to call down to get towels and go to front desk for soaps and stuff . read more

Four star view. Zero star hotel. This hotel it's so dirty and disgusting. The hotel staff literally gives no Fs either and are doing absolutely nothing nothing to make this hotel better (which will be its demise). I literally found a ROACH in my fridge, floor is digusting they absolutely never mop nor dust, outlets work only when all light switches are on so have fun sleeping with your phone charging with all the lights on. The cherry on top for me was check out is at 11 and housekeeping knocked on our door (which had a do not disturb sign on) at 9:20 am. Thanks for ruining my only chance to sleep past 6 am! I paid $300 a night for this hotel during blink and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT to ANYONE . This place was horrible! When we arrived the duvet had blood on it...that should have been a sign. The stopper in the shower and sink were both broken. We never had our room cleaned, the entire time we stayed. Two of the three elevators didn't work and on one of the hottest days we were there one of the guests was having a birthday party, which stuffed all the elevators forcing us to walk 9 floors of stairs. The only good thing I can say about the place was the air conditioner worked great. read more

When checking into the hotel there was only one person checking people in and there was a huge line. There was garbage under the beds.

My boyfriend and I checked into the Radisson in Cincinnati on Sunday June 7th around 11:00pm. I had called after booking our stay to see if we would be able to do a later check out due to flight times , I spoke to a front desk rep who let us know she could accommodate us until 1pm for free or until 4pm for a $50 charge. We agreed to the 1pm and she said she would put a note on our booking but to remind them when we arrived. Upon arrival we spoke to the 3rd shift front desk rep who said that the note had never been put into the system but it wasn't a problem she would add it and we were good to check out at 1. Keep that in mind we were expecting to check out at 1 so around 11am housekeeping comes. We let them know we had a late check out but for some reason again that wasn't communicated to them. She was understanding and let us know she would check with the front desk and that 1pm shouldn't be a problem. During this time we are outside on the balcony with the door fully shut enjoying our morning tea and sunlight. In this 20 minute period of us being outside the front desk manager had come up to speak to us and later told us she was knocking on the door and tried calling us, both of which we didn't hear due to already being told we had until 1pm by 2 different front desk employees. Once we came inside my boyfriend heard the pounding , opens the door, speaking to the front desk manager. Natasia approached him aggressively with a frustrated attitude raising her voice explaining that she had been trying to contact us. She reacted extremely unprofessional allowing her anger to overtake the calm manager role she should have been demonstrating. She asked us to vacate which we agreed to then 5 minutes later police show up at the door. We would've had a calm civil conversation with her to explain the misunderstanding but she resulted to the extreme. Im beyond frusted by the mistake on radissons end not enforcing there employees communication between different shifts allowing a guest request to get dismissed not once but twice. It's a shame that a hotel with such a beautiful view has such a confrontational manager leading things. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again or recommend to anyone, the better buisness bureau will be contacted along with losing a loyal customer. I'm curious to see how Radisson responds, if they'll issue an apology with compensation for the inconvenience and interruption of our stay! read more

Rooms were great but the manager, Nicole (woman with dyed red hair) at the front desk was extremely rude each chance she got to be. She was delighted to tell us our rooms were for the next evening were cancelled and rather than explain why she got upset and raised her voice. Then, when current room keys stopped working for my roommate and I she said there was absolutely no way to get into the room without our ID. After she walked away another employee simply called one person and we were able to get in easily. read more

My husband surprised me with a staycation here for our wedding anniversary and I was totally shocked at this hidden gem. Tucked away on the 11th floor was a 1 bedroom suite fully equipped with a jacuzzi tub, mini fridge, wet bar and microwave. The room was spacious and had a decent view of Cincy (if you look beyond the highway). The service was nice, but they want you out PROMPTLY at checkout (we received a knock on our door five minutes before we were actually supposed to be out) and it's a little worn over all. Still, a great place for a romantic getaway without a lot of travel. Added bonus this hotel has two restaurants and a bar and provides room service during limited hours. If you get hungry late all of the major food delivery services seem to deliver here. Note, The romantic room decorations were provided from a separate company that I will review. read more

I usually reserve hotel reviews for TripAdvisor, but this hotel is pretty bad and wanted to spare other Yelpers a similar crappy experience. The hotel is dilapidated and generally dirty. Our first room was fairly disgusting, with dirty sheets, uncleaned surfaces, and bad smells. Our next room was at least cleaner, but the bathroom had mildew smells with a poorly functioning sink. The carpet had several stains. Overall just a dingy room with very lousy painting (splotched on fixtures or bubbling) and dirty grout. Several of the outlets did not work. While relatively spacious, there is only one desk chair and no other chairs/furniture to sit. The lobby and common areas are generally dated and "patched". Overall the owners are operating this place like a slumlord. They charge $7/night for parking, which is a bit crazy given nobody wants to be in this downtown area (location is lousy). Oh, and one of the secure doors from the basement garage didn't work (open 24/7). The one plus was the service staff - with the exception of the manager, all the staff were very nice and friendly. That said, this is one of the dingiest hotels I've stayed at and would never recommend it. The kicker is the price isn't even cheap - you can spend the same amount or $15/night more and get something way better (and cleaner). read more

Pictures online are very deceiving. Stayed on the 15th floor on August the 11th 2024. The room has an okay view of the Cincinnati skyline however it was dirty, dirty, dirty! Outlets didn't work. Some of the lamps didn't work. Shower wouldn't drain,left residue all over the tub once the water finally went out. Stains everywhere! Small holes everywhere.Thank goodness I didn't see any bugs but I left the lights on, that did work. I didn't sleep. Kept waking up short of breath. The whole pool area needs bleached. Concrete floors around the pool are stained black in areas as is the small Juliette style balcony off of the room. Pool water was very cloudy and didn't look safe to soak your feet in. This Hotel is over rated. Looks and felt like something one could rent by the hour! read more

Smell of moldy smoke when we arrive at our room. Floor had crumbs, dirty shoe/foot marks on tile and inside shower, cup ring marks that made it evident the counters had not been wiped off, a huge hairball on window curtain, dirty toilet seat, and huge dark stains on carpet, and makeup on the pillow case. I immediately notified office by text. I have texts where staff said that they were sold out and they would move me sometime the next day. I called and filed a complaint with Choice hotels where I made reservation. I was told that they would reach out to Manager. We had to stay the first night because of lack of rooms available in the area. I went to the Office early the next morning. The lady at the desk was very nice as another guest was leaving because of the loud interstate noise and dirty room. The front desk lady said that she was new to this property but had to wait on the Manager to make a decision on what to do about returning my money. I had reservation for 2 nights. I told her that I was leaving and going to a clean hotel for my second night. She couldn't tell me if I would get my money back for the second day of my reservation or the horrible nights that I had. I showed her photos of the nasty room. I left and got a room at another hotel. A few hours later the lady at the desk called and said that I would not be responsible for the payment on the second night. She said she didn't know what the Manager would do about the night that I arrived. I still haven't got a call from the staff about my refund. I also showed photos to the desk clerk or the nasty room condition. I called the Choice Hotel home office again. I am still wondering why the Manager hasn't refunded my money? An absolute dump. I was supposed to stay here for a full weekend and as soon as i checked in and went up the elevator , I was harassed by multiple groups of men. One of them attempted to even touch my butt. I went to the front desk and immediately told them how uncomfortable I was and I wanted to leave. I was told it was a one night penalty and I would be refunded the rest. I called priceline an hour later and was told not only would i not be getting any money back after i was harassed and stayed there for a total of 30 minutes, but they hung up on me when i tried to call. So not only was i harassed by men but i had my money stolen from somewhere and not given any service for that incident. The man working there walked away from me mid conversation when i was trying to explain how the losers looked. The general manager refused to give me any kind of compensation and every time i call corporate it's some moron in India. I will be sueing choice hotels. DO NOT STAY HERE if you are a woman. You will be harrassed and followed by the crackheads staying there and the company won't do anything. Recently stayed at the hotel riverfront Cincinnati for a trip we take every year. We arrived and check in was decent only had 1 elevator working. We got to our room in which we booked 2 queen size beds and got 2 full size beds, water in our room they provided in bottles we open and not sealed properly bathroom was dirty had hair on our towels. Light switches and outlets were not working. Had another guest in our group coming the next day foe a stay and their system went down, I get it stuff happens that is out of their control, yet when we went to check them in the staff was very stand offish, we had to fill out a paper, they took copies of their ID and credit card, gave us the room number, and put it down on a key envelope and the paperwork that was filled out with their information on it, we asked if we were good to go since we had dinner reservations and not run up to the room then, they said that is fine were checked in and her room will be there for us to move into when we return. We returned later that evening after our plans and went to the front desk gave the room number we were given, have a member of the staff take us up there to let them in and we would have walked into another couples room had they not had the bolt locked, they gave away the room and they almost gave away the last room in the hotel, mind you the reservations for these 2 hotel rooms were booked back in Jan. The manager behind the desk told us that our complaint was mut point as we should have went up to the room and it would have not been given away. They had to have someone take people to their rooms without checking IDs just going off room numbers given. The gentleman that took us up to the room was demanding a room number in a crowded elevator as if we want to give a room number out to everyone knowing that all they have to do is tell them a room number and they would be let in. Yes I had a key to my room but the other person with us did not and was told if you don't want someone to assist you leave your room unlocked if you feel comfortable doing so, with one elevator working in the whole hotel with 18 floors we were going down to the lobby and ended up on the 18th floor to have to go all the way back down because someone hit the button. They should have stopped Checking people in and called it until their system was back open. Overall a terrible experience 1st and last time I will stay there. That and they were very willing to give my information over the phone to someone just by having my 1st and last name and when I was staying there so anyone could have called to confirm I was staying at that location without any hesitation that could have been someone with Ill Intentions, thankfully it was not. read more

My daughter and I came for a concert. We got a good city view even though we didn't pay extra on a weekday. Check in was fast and friendly. The location was great right off the freeway to the right. Price was excellent around 180 with taxes and parking that day. Convenient to gas station and fast food, nice park across the street. Neighborhood could be sketchy at night. We're from Detroit area so NBD to us for frame of reference. Our room was very very clean, unlike some of the other reviews I've read about this location. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson. We would definitely stay at the Raddison again despite the picture I'll post. read more

For $200 a night I expect better. The sidewalk outside was littered with cigarette butts and even orange peels and food someone dropped. The room was decent but only provided one big thick blanket and a sheet, nothing lighter for summer. The toilet didn't flush properly and sink didn't drain when got there. Maintenance fixed both quickly but then left the door open! Also I have to say.. the cleaning staff didn't notice before we checked in either of these issues? If you like radishes, don't be ashamed. Just eat them. Get your Radish on. Whereas when I come to this instantly recognizable hotel with Barbie, we get our ravish on. If you know what I mean. One of the most interesting and visually spectacular hotels in the whole country, this is one of those circular type tall buildings, and because Cincinnati doesn't have that many tall buildings - especially on the Kentucky side of the river - you can see it for miles and you instantly know where you are as soon as you catch sight of it. Staying here is pretty nice but the reason it gets the high rating is the design and the visual. read more

I just stayed there for three days. It was great. Staff is super friendly. The hotel room was clean and nice. We got a room with city view! We saw fireworks from our balcony on July 4. It was awesome. The food at the downstairs bar was good too! It was definitely a nice place to stay and visit! Pictures below! read more

Absolutely disgusting... I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. Not to mention it was $220 for ONE NIGHT!! This is what I saw when we came in. They told us no smoking but the whole room and bathroom smelt like CIGARETTE SMOKE!!! Also the receptionist was a total bitch! read more

Our stay at the Radisson hotel was excellent from the checking in as well as the checking out. The staff could not have been more gracious. The room was large with a nice terrace overlooking the skyline of Cincinnati. We had our dinner at the restaurant that is noted for their excellent cuisine, and actually revolves over 90 minute that sits at the top of the building After dinner, we availed ourselves to the indoor pool that was fabulous. I would definitely use this facility again. We had a great time. read more

I have stayed here many times and eaten at 18 countless times also. The more I go, I realize that it is falling apart. Moldy shower Curtains or thermostats that don't work. But a great location and view. This last stay took the cake. I spent over an hour just now trying to get refunded for my room that I was double charged for and nope. The hotel management sucks! So off the cc company to get it back! Never staying there again! read more

The view was the only pleasant part of our stay. A powerful sewer stench smell because of an un-emptied restaurant grease trap permeated the entire floor with the smell of fecal matter... so we had to move down to another room at 10 p.m. The front desk person we had called twice said they'd send the engineering staff. Apparently that was a lie. Other staff said they could do nothing to fix it (they said it has happened previously without proper mitigation). Two of three public elevators had been out of service for days... we had to use the service elevator. Aging room with visible furniture damage on main cabinets. The horrible king mattress left us with sore shoulders and hips. The toilet flush handle kept getting stuck leaving water to run until discovered. Ice machines on multiple floors failed to produce ice... front desk said only three working. The poor bedding left us sore the next morning. Dirty interior and exterior windows robbed us of a clear view. Why would Raddison put their brand name on this aging dump? read more

I enjoyed my stay in Cincinnati and the Radisson is a good spot to choose. Located near the Ohio River and downtown, it is easily accesible as its right by the major highways. All of the rooms come with a balcony overlooking the Cinci skyline and the river. The front desk gal hooked me up with a 14th floor view and it was awesome. I had a king sized bed and the room was nice and clean. The bathroom could use a little pick me up, but other than that, i enjoyed my stay. I even ordered room service for breakfast. They give you the option of leaving your menu hanging on the doorknob. You would then indicate the food you want for breakfast and what time you want it delivered. Just make sure your order is on the doorknob by 12 midnight the night before. My food came right on time the next day. The only bummer during my stay was that the revolving restaurant, located on the top floor of the hotel, was closed the night i stayed. I was really looking forward to checking out the night scenery and was curious to see the restaurant spin around! Oh well, maybe next time. I would stay here again next time I am in town. Hopefully the restaurant will be open! read more
