Beautiful hotel with stunning views of the river. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options but just ok in flavor.

I had just enough luck to get a bed, four walls, and a view of... the other hotel chains. I'm kidding. I had a great view of the river. Honestly? Clean. Quiet. Safe. What more do you want, a turn-down chocolate? The carpet may have seen some things, but so have I so equal playing field. There's a little charm in the way the air conditioning hums like a broken lullaby. Would stay again.

A great Hotel to stay if you are in the area. The property is very well kept, the staff is friendly and professional. The Hotel offers an indoor pool, great gym, executive lounge and in property restaurant. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Location is fantastic. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Keep this property in mind if you are in the area. Cheers!

Staff amazing. From check in to meeting the manager Mike(?) to check out. Room was very very nice. Atrium view, nice decor, clean and I slept like a baby. Soon as you walk in, the building has a fresh scent that goes throughout the facility. Even the valet guy on the 1st floor was super nice. Atmosphere amazing. Bar area exceptional. Every time I'm here this will definitely be my go to hotel, so much so I'll be bringing my daughter and granddaughter for a random trip. Nice walking trails on the river. Amazing view from my room. These employees are exactly who you want to interact with in a hospitality environment. Makes me wish I could work there with them. 10 stars!!!!!!

Attention military/government! This is the best rate on a weekend! It may not be near everything that Newport has to offer, but there is a $1.00 trolley you can take to get there. It's clean, rooms are big and beds comfy. It's a short walk to both stadiums for the Reds and Bengals. There is a liquor store and Taco Bell for late night needs right down the street! (I would drive). Valet is great too!

If you get stuck at the Cincinnati airport due plane malfunction and you have to pick a hotel nearby, I'd recommend this one, although it is a solid $39-40 Uber ride from the airport, about 12 miles away. I probably should have picked something closer but this one said 'Covington' so I though it would be near the airport. It's a nice place, but still very lively at 10:30 pm! Folks singing and shouting outside, loud music. I'm on the 7th floor but I can hear all the outside celebrations, which is odd for a Thursday night, but this must be in a hopping part of town. The pool closed by the time I checked in but I'll catch a swim in the morning as it looks quite nice!! Front desk staff were lovely, too. This is a very nice hotel.

The breakfasts spread with fresh lox!

WOW if I could give more stars I would. I flew in here so unsure about parking but there is a parking deck downstairs. You're right by the roeblig bridge (spelling?). You can walk across to downtown or walk along the Kentucky side of a fun beer garden/plaza. Please please please any manager reading this AISHA AND TALI!!! Omg the most genial wonderful humans alive! Our plane went into maintenance and normally our crew has some trouble managing and organizing our extended stays but omg they were so sweet and exceptionally on it. They had what we needed before we even got there. I've stayed at many Mariotts (titanium elite member) and this is hands down the best one I have literally ever been to. Absolutely incredible and mainly because of the delightful staff. Even gave us recommendations on things to do! The breakfast is INCREDIBLE!! It's vast and fresh. Absolutely worth paying for breakfast also Connie in the breakfast area and the other lady ong they never sit down they keep that food fresh and stocked one minute I saw eggs running low and I'm not even kidding I turned for a second and entire fresh round of eggs were in its place. Beautiful lobby. Excellent service and just downright jovial and knowledgeable staff. Please give them a raise! Best service I have ever had. (Tali and Aisha! Oh, and Connie for breakfast) Gym isn't pictures but It's HUGE! And has a barbell amongst several weight machines. KB, and several ranges of DB, and cardio machines

I was torn between a 3 and 4 star rating. The hotel is gorgeous and I loved the room. It was clean despite other reviews. My issue is that they don't mention things to you such as the paid parking is NOT ATTACHED. The elevators are super confusing and the front desk person was very unhelpful and looked very unhappy to be there. Who the heck designed this place? No free breakfast despite the price, either. + points for the pool

    Moldy coffee anyone?
    Michael R.

Don't stay here unless you are attending a meeting in the hotel. It's overpriced with a convoluted floorplan/elevator system and the rooms are really nothing special. Hampton Inn is nicer. In our case, the A/C was out in our room and the ancient ice machine on our floor was out of order. In the morning I discovered our coffee maker was full of mold. The hotel is not really walkable to anything. This should be a $100-$125/night hotel. We paid $225 with tax as a Marriott member. We made a poor choice.

The hotel was fine, nothing outrageously amazing but also not as bad as some of the Yelp reviews say, at least from what I could see. The biggest problem I had was that they couldn't find my reservation at first and needed a manager to find it - not what you want to go through after a long day of work and travel. The pool was nice, although the hours of operation when you ask the staff are definitely different online and on the sign out front - the postings say the pool opens at 6, the staff says 7. One day when I tried to go at 7:10 a.m. the other day, it was locked until I asked the front desk to do something about it. The pool itself isn't the greatest, but I don't know many hotels where you can get a legit lap swim workout in, so other than it being dimly lit at night, I couldn't complain. The workout room was nicely stocked with towels and cups for water, and even some fruit in the morning. That was a nice touch. The drinks at the bar - at least the beers - weren't that expensive, and Brian the bartender was especially helpful and polite and made sure to treat each guest like they were welcome at the bar.

Being from the area, I've always heard that the Marriott at RiverCenter was an awesome hotel. Great location & that Marriott level of service that one could expect. How truly wrong I was about this Marriott. I wanted to show off my hometown to my girlfriend and splurged on a city view room with a balcony. Having paid over $250 for one night, we both expected a memorable experience, unfortunately for us it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. This hotel is set up a little differently than most. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and one must take an elevator or stairs to the lobby then from there take another elevator to your room. We arrived to a very long line for the elevators to reach the lobby. After waiting several minutes we were informed that one of their elevators wasn't working (something mentioned in other reviews). After waiting 15-20 we lugged our bags up 3 flights of stairs. At 4:30 (one of the busier times for hotel check-ins) there was one woman and one man working the front desk. The man finished with his guest first. We waited for him to call us over but he never did. There was a line of approximately 3-4 couples behind us but there was never an explanation on why he didn't help anyone. The woman was nice but didn't recognize my elite status with Marriott....kind of frustrating when you spend thousands of your own money every year on hotels.... The room was very small. Balcony & view were awesome but bathroom had all sorts of issues, which negatively affected our stay. Peeling wallpaper, a shower door that was extremely difficult to move, no shower gel bottle and a vent that looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Thinking about how dirty the vent was kind of gave us the creeps.....all that dead skin/fecal matter/who knows what could have been floating around in there. Also the walls are paper thin and being right across the hall from the elevator, you could constantly hear people and it was evident that they do not have security as people were partying late into the night. If you want a view this place has it, but not much else.......

    Mark C.

Please be sure to make sure your room is clean. Ppl have complained that their bed sheets were soiled. My room was barely vacuumed as I saw hair ties on the ground each night. Also, the mirrors are not cleaned as I swatted a bug on the mirror. However, the cleaning staff did not wipe the mirror. They do offer free laundry service in the 3th floor. Their buffet breakfast ($20) is worth it. Comes with eggs, hash browns, pancakes, several fresh fruits and smoked salmon. The confusing thing about this hotel is you take 2 separate elevators to get to the lobby / gym and a separate elevator to get to the guest rooms. So confusing for new customers. Also, my room had a lot of construction / noise upstairs. Very annoying. The good thing about this hotel is that it's across the bridge from the Reds and Bengals stadium. Parking is $10 per day at the garage by the side of the building. Garage is small and tough if you drive a big car. If you book here, be careful and make sure the room is clean.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

We arrived early hoping that we could check into our rooms but they had been full the night before. We requested a low floor for my elderly parents and just gave up at 4:30 and took the first available room. After check in, I needed to park my oversized truck. I was directed to oversized lot behind the property. Once I pulled into the lot I see a sign but many of the spaces also had old faded signs that said "No Parking". I parked next to one of my relatives two spaces away from on one of the signs. My brother in law also found a space on the opposite end of the row near one of the signs. We go up to our room and unload our stuff and the door to the bedroom just falls off after I close it. We call maintenance and after a couple hours they finally fix it. The AC at this place is on blast. Even if you turn off the thermostat it will still keep blowing. The TV's act as though they are stealing cable. Every 5 minutes the TV will blank out and sometimes power off or they will constantly say "No signal". There was a TV in the dinning area that was doing something similar. They had football games on from last season and you couldn't watch because it kept scrambling. The next day, I'm sitting next to my cousin on a trolly on our way to a museum and she gets a call that her truck had been towed that morning. This was the vehicle I parked next to. My vehicle had also been towed. I talked with security at the building that I discovered actually owned the parking lot and they informed me that I had parked in an unmarked loading dock. They also mentioned that they had sent someone over to the hotel to have us move the vehicles but because the hotel doesn't ask for license plates when they charge you for parking, there was no way to find us. For some reason they did ask us what state the vehicle was registered in. $180 and a $20 Uber. I asked to speak to a manager but he wasn't scheduled to come in until 4pm. At 4:30 I come down to talk and the desk attendant gives me the run around. She hands me the number of the building that actually owns the lot and says to call them. Apparently the manager must have been hiding in his office listening to the whole conversation. Right after that the he comes out and attempts to give me the same number. Then he refuses to discuss the matter with me. I then demand that he take the parking off my room since he refuses to take any ownership of the problem. He gets in front of the computer and says its been removed. After the exchange Brian one of the nicer desk clerks walked out and spoke with me in private to try to deescalate the situation. I appreciate his efforts. The condition of the property made sense after trying to speak with the manager. Later we learned that the actual over sized lot is further down an alley and not where the sign is (See pics). That night my wife and I are sitting at the bar and decide to order food. I ask the bar tender if we can charge the food to our room. We get our food and the bar tender also hands me the bill. I charge it to my room and probably spend another hour at the bar. I eventually go to my room and my cousin calls me and says that they charged them for my food. I come down to take care of the bill and the same bar tender I spoke with tells me she said yes but that the other bar tender spoke to me and told me they couldn't charge my room. The conversation with the other bar tender never happened. Later we learned that their system was down and that's why they couldn't charge rooms. The next morning I go to eat breakfast and its horrible. The omelet station's line is out into the seating area. I decide to just get some buffet items. There isn't enough utensils so all they had were forks. The staff kept running around gathering up the plates in order to quickly rewash the utensils. Its not the workers fault that management doesn't prepare for the volume of people booked for the property. Saturday afternoon we return back to our room and it hasn't been cleaned. We call down to the front desk and they say that they will send someone up but that never happened. My wife was not happy. On Sunday this circus was finally over. I check out and you guessed it. The parking was never taken off my bill. I tell the desk person the whole history of the towing incident and she eventually takes it off my bill. I checked my Hilton Honors points this morning and low and behold there's no record of this stay (3 rooms). This place is no good. Avoid at all costs!

So my Bookings app brought up this place, which is close to the ballpark. So I booked it for 6/3. When I got there I was told there would also be a parking fee. It is what it is. I was given a room up high, maybe floor 13. Lucky me! I will note the view is the best part of this hotel. My view was of I75, meh, but it's still nice to look from above at cars and trees. I would have loved a view of the Cincinnati skyline, though. Well the vibe of the place is dark and there are warning signs about car break ins so I brought everything inside. The elevator was interesting but pretty small and the ride was shaky. When I got to the room it looked ok but definitely not that bright and welcoming. I thought a perk would be to go out on the balcony and check out the view. Unfortunately, the door was locked and the door wouldn't budge. I was able to see out the windows, but they could use a good scrubbing on the outside. I reminded myself that I wasn't there for the room I was there for ribs and baseball so didn't spend much time in that room. I was able to make it to ballpark and park then walk to the rib house and back to ballpark by the 2nd inning. I returned back to the hotel after stopping at the Plum Street Cafe which is near the 4th and Plum where I once lived. Driving back, however, my app sent me around downtown Covington until I realized I needed to turn in an unmarked alley by the gas station to enter the lot. To quote Run DMC It's tricky, tricky, tricky! I headed back to the room and then a darkish walk to the ice machine. I really think this place could use some updates or cut the price point from $152 to $75. The halls also echo in the night. On my billing statement that just came from Amex it indicated that I stayed there on 6/2 instead of 6/3. I didn't take many pictures since there are plenty online already. I did get an exterior shot at 10:34 the next day as I prepared to make the drive to Pigeon Forge, TN.

Immediately upon arrival, even though I paid ahead of time weeks ago, I had to pay an additional $200. Then the elevators were old and shook and made so much noise I thought they were going to get stuck constantly. Then, all the hallways smelled like smoke and weed. The room itself wasn't awful but the sheets were stained and the bathroom shower had no curtain or doors so water would get everywhere if you used it. The outlets were so loose it was hard to charge anything and the Internet was so unbelievably slow. We also ordered strawberries and champagne for Valentine's Day. We only got 4 strawberries and 2 of them were rotten. Avoid here at all costs.

The room was standard. Ok size. Came with a TV (not many channels). Bed sheets seemed clean. But the restroom was gross. It had someone's poop that splashed on the toilet lid. There were also some pubic hairs and booty dust on the seat. And the shower had hair in it as well. I honestly debated about writing this review because once I looked there were so many other negative reviews about the cleanliness of the restrooms. I really feel like they don't care and it's not going to change. So I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I took photos and videos immediately and showed them to the front desk. Honestly, I should have canceled on the spot, but the front desk clerk, Ms. Kristina, was kind and asked me to try another room. That second room was somehow even worse than the first. At that point, I canceled my stay entirely. I was specifically told that once the manager, Jennifer Jacobs (who has been avoiding my calls since), returned the next day, my refund would be approved because I booked through Booking.com and manager authorization was needed. That approval never came. Instead, after 11 days of calls, messages, follow-ups, and being given the runaround, I learned the General Manager denied my refund request. Let me be clear...I never stayed in either room. I was presented with two unacceptable, dirty rooms, forced to scramble and find another hotel, wasted time dealing with staff and customer service, and still ended up out $500. So the hotel's position is apparently ... they can offer unsanitary accommodations, fail to remedy the issue after a second attempt, inconvenience the guest, and then keep the guest's money anyway. I literally feel violated. Again, don't book this hotel, and think twice before booking through Booking.com as well. See the screenshots from the video I took of the second room they tried to give me. Dirty pillow, dirt smudges in shower and doorway, and (the worst) butt crust on the toilet seat.

On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

Complete attention to detail - even a shaving mirror built into the shower wall! The public areas are all special in their own way. The lobby area is in the new build area with soaring ceilings and beautiful fixtures. The rooftop restaurant (covered) and bar (outside) are thoughtful designed to ensure fun. The location is great. A little out of the way and yet close walking distance to everything. They also provide free limo service within 5 miles. Handy for any Over the Rhine excursions. The staff is excellent - from the valets to the chef. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress for Subito dinner on May 19. She was one of the best ever. This was a truly memorable celebration spot.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service. I can't remember the name of the young woman at the front desk, but she went above and beyond by recommending a local sushi restaurant, and it turned out to be fantastic. That personal touch made me feel truly welcome. Plus, she upgraded me without me asking! My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The on-site laundry facilities were a huge convenience, especially for an extended work trip. Breakfast was excellent each morning, with a great selection and quality. The only minor downside was that the fitness equipment was out of service during my stay. However, the staff came up with a great solution! They allowed guests to use the gym at the neighboring hotel, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding Hampton experience. As a Diamond member, I've stayed at many Hampton properties, and this one truly stands out because of the professionalism, friendliness, and genuine hospitality of the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel and will gladly stay here again if I'm in the area.

The table in our room had dried up crusty stuff on it. We let the front desk know, but the two younger girls running reception shrugged and said they'd let their manager know. This was immediately after we checked in, around 4pm. No one ever contacted us, so it didn't seem like a manager was ever informed. Or maybe the manager simply didn't care. I went to use the hair dryer later that evening and discovered it didn't work. We again let the front desk know, but no one seemed concerned. They have an outside area in the back and it's nice to sit. We had dinner out there and enjoyed it. The pool water was very cloudy, you couldn't see your own hand underneath. I'm not sure if that's normal or not! The breakfast was okay but they were out of a lot of things. No yogurt, no apple juice, no real butter (only vegetable shortening), no bagels. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels and I've never stayed at one so dirty. If we're ever in this area again, I would definitely not return.
