I had an excellent stay at this hotel!! I was initially disappointed when I found out I would be traveling to a remote area for work, but the outstanding hospitality here completely changed my perspective. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service. I can't remember the name of the young woman at the front desk, but she went above and beyond by recommending a local sushi restaurant, and it turned out to be fantastic. That personal touch made me feel truly welcome. Plus, she upgraded me without me asking! My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The on-site laundry facilities were a huge convenience, especially for an extended work trip. Breakfast was excellent each morning, with a great selection and quality. The only minor downside was that the fitness equipment was out of service during my stay. However, the staff came up with a great solution! They allowed guests to use the gym at the neighboring hotel, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding Hampton experience. As a Diamond member, I've stayed at many Hampton properties, and this one truly stands out because of the professionalism, friendliness, and genuine hospitality of the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel and will gladly stay here again if I'm in the area. read more

My main complaint is that our room was dirty. Cobwebs in the corners and smashed up Goldfish(the snack - haha) on the floor and the bathroom had hair and dirt behind the door. The table in our room had dried up crusty stuff on it. We let the front desk know, but the two younger girls running reception shrugged and said they'd let their manager know. This was immediately after we checked in, around 4pm. No one ever contacted us, so it didn't seem like a manager was ever informed. Or maybe the manager simply didn't care. I went to use the hair dryer later that evening and discovered it didn't work. We again let the front desk know, but no one seemed concerned. They have an outside area in the back and it's nice to sit. We had dinner out there and enjoyed it. The pool water was very cloudy, you couldn't see your own hand underneath. I'm not sure if that's normal or not! The breakfast was okay but they were out of a lot of things. No yogurt, no apple juice, no real butter (only vegetable shortening), no bagels. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels and I've never stayed at one so dirty. If we're ever in this area again, I would definitely not return. read more

CONTRACTORS BEWARE!! Horrible customer service. We did a complete cleaning service on all of their Ice Machines (all were plagued with mold and calcium build-up) due to them having an inspection on their machines withing 2 days of us cleaning them. Well, they passed inspections and then proceeded to tell our company that they won't pay for services rendered because one of their ice machines were leaking and blamed us. We don't pull water lines or pull machines away from the walls to complete the service on them. They refuse to pay the invoice and both Manager and Maintenance guy will not answer calls, texts or emails. We sent them a letter stating we are suing and which we did and it's in the hands of Campbell County. The invoice isn't that much so good luck and we will win out so STAY AWAY! read more

It was a nice room with great space. Mattresses were great but the frame seemed a bit questionable. Pillows were great. Clean. Amazing location. Breakfast was standard. Coffee was hot all day and night. Thought I had gotten a room on the quiet side as seen in previous reviews but I guess I didn't. It can get loud if you do t pick the right side of the hotel. Stayed in this location for a conference near to NKU. The room was a single King with walk-in shower. Overall the room was clean, amenities were modern, and the space was quiet. There is some road noise, but nothing alarming. Other guests were not disruptive. The room included a microwave and refrigerator, which were not listed in the amenities but were much appreciated. The price was reasonable. The breakfast is okay. It has limited options, but I found much to enjoy. The dark roast coffee is pretty good. Overall the staff should be commended for running a clean and comfortable space where one easily feels safe. read more

We stayed for 2 weeks in January as we came up from Florida to stay for my Father in law's funeral. The room was nice. The bed was large and comfortable. We had 2 in our room, which is fine for me, because my husband tends to be restless. We did not use housekeeping during our time there, but if we needed towels, we asked the front desk, and that was fine. Because it was in the depth of Covid, they were not doing the breakfast buffet. They were doing bagged breakfast. This SHOULD have been fine. But some days, what you got, didn't make sense. Some days you'd get the perfect bag: Microwavable Sandwich, Yogurt, Cereal/granola bar, fruit, milk and or Juice. Some days you got a bag with a muffin, a cereal bar, and a Juice or a bag a of Sugar. Some times they smelled like cigarette smoke, some times they didn't. The stay wasn't bad, but I did notice it was very selective as to when masks were enforced. Since I was visiting, I'm not sure if Kentucky had a Mask Mandate in January 2021. read more

Home away from home. We stayed here since it was local to Cincinnati, and also many small towns in Northern Kentucky. Many fine restaurants in nearby Florence, Mainstrasse Village (in Covington) and some small places in Wilder. We literally drove to Cincinnati, Brookville, Indiana and back in one day. The daily breakfast is your usual carb offerings, toast, muffins, bagels, waffles. Also an egg dish (powdered eggs or omelettes) and some fruit, cereal, milk, juices, coffee, tea, oatmeal, and yogurts. Coffee is served 24/7 and cookies in the afternoon. We loved the laundry faculty, $3.00 to wash and dry a load of clothes. You can get change from the front desk, since the machines use quarters. The room was clean and well stocked with clean towels and the basic shower items. There is a small fridge and microwave, also a coffee maker and an iron. Bathroom is a blow dryer as well. Mark, who works at the front desk, is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us some great suggestions. He also was so sweet and offered to clean our rooms himself, as there was a mix up with housekeeping. We of course did not ask him to do that. Sweet young man, who cares about the customers and takes pride in his job! We will stay here again, as the experience was pleasant! read more

We did a wine weekend and this hotel was conveniently located. Check in was super easy and the person at the counter was friendly and efficient. Positives: Great location to Cincinnati/Newport Easy check in process Rooms were large and clean. (I liked that the doors had stickers that were sealed to show they had been sanitized). Great amenities Negatives: Breakfast - I understand that due to the pandemic, situations change. There was no mention on Expedia that the breakfast was essentially grab and go food. We were in the breakfast area at about 9am on Saturday. There was no hot food. The gentleman that was working was so soft-spoken that you could barely understand what he was saying. I gathered that he was cooking steak and eggs but there wasn't a time frame. We ended up down the road at McDonald's instead. The options at the hotel breakfast were breakfast bars, oatmeal (to be heated up in your room), and yogurt. Noise level - I'm not sure why but there were a ton of kids in the hotel while we were there. Whoever was in the room above us sounded like they were having a full on wrestling event. It was non-stop for over 3 hours. When we called the front desk at around 10pm, we were informed that quiet hours started at 11. By the time quiet hours rolled around, we had all fallen asleep, even with the noise. The noise continued the next night as well. I'd stay here again but would request a top floor room to avoid the noise. I'd also be prepared to have breakfast elsewhere. Overall, not a bad stay but the noise was extremely annoying. read more

During the entire night our beds felts like they were shaking (maybe we were on top of the laundry area or something) but it was bad. The stay was as-expected. The staff was good and the hotel was clean. I didn't use the gym, but it was the typical machine and weights I've seen in most hotels. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and a lot of the other guests really enjoyed the main pool. It looked like some group rented out a conference room and threw a kid's birthday party there during our stay. This location was great, also, being just outside of Cincinnati and lower priced (this was a points stay). The breakfast was fine. read more

I have worked on the road for years of my life, staying in hundreds of hotels and motels. I base my satisfaction on several basics. I need a good shower, good bed, good parking and good TV. This hotel has bad TV. The button on the remote for "Guide" does not work. To see the guide, you have to turn the TV off, then back on. If you see a channel in the guide you want to watch, and enter the number, chances are there will be no signal or the wrong channel. I will never stay there again based on this inconvenience. read more

I am a regular, which has been really a function of price, but I would say there are some things that are lacking that I'd prefer to see. These include the gym equipment being usable. The bike pedals are hard to use when the strap is broken. The treadmill creaks and sometimes does not work at all. The pool is a bit on the cold side, and the hot tub probably has not been operating since maybe 2021 when I first started going. The breakfast has been hit or miss. It certainly doesn't look like the Yelp pictures. The staff is nice. They know my name, and they're always willing to help and occasionally offer room upgrades. Speaking of the rooms. This was a pretty cool spot that we stayed in for convenience to the aquarium. We usually stay directly across the street, but we were looking for connecting rooms and decided to try this place out. I am not sure what my room was next to, but it sounded like a tractor-trailer running into the wall all night. I doubt it was the refrigerator, although that was making noise also. The water did not stay consistently hot, and kept changing hot to cold. The rooms were clean and the people at the desk were nice. They didn't seem like much to do in the area though. read more

We had a fantastic experience with this hotel... we live ten miles from here but this was about providing our 14 year old with a special father/son experience where he received a guitar and just celebrated life with his dad. I snuck in before their arrival and decked the place out for them. This is such a cool room.. design is awesome for what they needed... also a great staycation in the future to get away from responsibilities of home. Walking in lobby there is coffee, cookies and more. Pool and jacuzzi were great (they said).. had the place to themselves and my husband was thrilled with their breakfast. I wish I could remember the front desk woman as she was helpful when I was trying to decorate.. THANKS!! My husband just mentioned that the gym was great! Our daughters experience was great wolf lodge... we much prefer your establishment with fair rates - no hidden fees (in fact bill was less then expected) friendliness and decent gym with knowledgeable staff as great wolf had None of that!! We look forward to coming back and this is what we will always recommend to our out of town guests! Oh and refrigerator and microwave really help! read more

I have stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites in different states before but this was the first time that my family and I stayed at this particular location. We had to travel to Northern Kentucky for a commencement ceremony that I was a part of and this hotel was close to the university. Two staff members were at the front desk upon our arrival, both of whom did not appear enthusiastic about our visit. The hotel is dated but the room itself ( 2 queen beds studio suite with sofabed) was spacious. The vending machines were not in operation the entire three days of our stay. The breakfast buffet which was included in the payment was, by far, the worst breakfast that my family and I ever had in all the hotels that we've been to. The omelettes were bland and not freshly cooked, the oatmeal was salty (yes, salty) and the coffee was lukewarm. The coffee comes from a thermal carafe that sits in the hotel lobby. How long the coffee sits there is anybody's guess. The selection of food was small but it really would not have mattered if it tasted good. Having a staff with a warm, friendly demeanor toward their customers would have compensated for the shortcomings of the hotel, but unfortunately, this was not the case at all. It was highly disappointing, so you are better off staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites by the CVG airport. My niece and her husband stayed there and found their experience to be an enjoyable one. read more

Just been here an hour but already a great experience . Here for work so I cruise in about 6.45 this evening for my morning training which is only 3 miles away, so location is perfect. Check in process was smooth and Mark was efficient and friendly, offering me water and a snack. The room is very clean with everything I need. I do need to print a document for my training tomorrow so I head to the business center. It too is very clean and is well stocked with paper, pencils, office supply needs. My problem is I can't get my document to print. I ask Mark if he can help. With about 3 trips between the business center and the front desk he has my document. Plus he has been very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. This will make me sleep better so needless to say thumbs up for the Hampton at Wilder, KY and Mark. Coffee was hot and good as well even at this time of the evening. Looking forward to breakfast. read more

Stayed at this hotel on the way to visit the Ark Encounter. Nice location, only about 12 minutes south of downtown Cincinnati and right off the freeway. The front desk was extremely friendly when we arrived. The hotel and room were clean and seemed well maintained. We didn't swim, but the pool area and pool itself appeared clean. The hot tub was closed during our stay. We stayed in a queen double and the room was nice and included a mini fridge and microwave. There was also a hair dryer and ironing board if you're looking for added conveniences. The bed was comfortable. Walls were a little thin, as we could hear conversations in the morning, outside of our room, as well as vacuuming. The hotel offers a free breakfast, which was about what you'd expect from a free breakfast. They offered waffles, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, ham, juice, coffee, toast and pastries among other things. Overall, I was happy with our stay and the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. I would stay again and recommend this hotel to others traveling through Wilder, KY. read more

Our stay at this Hampton Inn and Suites was enjoyable, but we (my girlfriend and I) feel like it was missing a few amenities that we have seen from other Hamptons we have stayed at in the past. I will say, the staff was very friendly, and allowed us to check in an hour early, so we would not be late for a meeting we needed to be in. The room was very clean and neat when we arrived, and all of the basic hotel supplies were readily available to us (soap, towels, lotion, coffee supplies, etc..) A couple things we noticed to be a bit of an inconvenience to us was that there was no microwave or mini refrigerator. We always bring snacks and drinks with us in the car to have throughout our stay, but this time, we had to constantly raid the ice machine, or visit the local gas station. This is one thing I think would improve the customer satisfaction of this Hampton Inn. When we got settled in for the night, we turned on the TV (which was an awesome 50 inch LG TV.) Although, we noticed there was no option to rent or watch movies on demand. This would be a great service to guests, and I know we would've used it for sure had it been available to us. The pool and hot tub area was excellent. Since we couldn't rent or watch a movie, we opted to go and relax for a while in the hot tub. I thought this was a great amenity. It was clean, and very comforting to use for awhile before bed. We both were able to sleep very well during our stay. We didn't have any issues with traffic noise even with the hotel being so close to the highway. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were soft. The first morning of our stay, we took advantage of the continental breakfast, which consisted of cereals, breakfast sandwiches, make your own waffles (my pick), and juice. The food was great! Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if I were in this area, but I do think there are a few improvements that could be made to better satisfy the customers! read more

This was my 3rd stay at this location for a concert. At check in I believe the person at the desks name was bob. We asked for a late check out as we were checking in and I added that we were going to a concert he rudely responded with so is everyone else. My boyfriend then asked if he could check if there was any availability for late check out he huffed and offered a noon check out. Once we got to the room the sofa cushions were out of place and the bed was very sloppily made. The room seems to look a bit tired. The breakfast wasn't good the cabasa was super salty and that isn't even a breakfast sausage. The OJ was really good. As many times as we have stayed here and as often as we come down to Cincinnati for concerts at the river bend we won't be coming back to stay at the Hampton we will stay elsewhere due mostly to the rude staff. read more

Beautiful and clean hotel with an excellent breakfast and nice amenities. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds were clean and comfortable. The location is easily accessible yet secluded. It was in a very safe area with ample parking. There were no safety concerns which can (and has been) an issue at some hotels near large cities. (Ever had your window busted out or tires stolen? We know first hand that it happens!) The staff was very professional and helpful. Our room had a wiring issue which resulted in no lights in the bathroom. Obviously this is one of those things that just happen and aren't really preventable. It was late, there were no rooms available for us to exchange and maintenance was off duty. To make it right the manager comped our room. The next time we're in the area, this is where we will be staying. read more

We got in late so our experience was limited but very enjoyable. There was no smell of smoke and the hotel in general looked quite new. There's a pool and hot tub (only the hot tub was warm) that were not crowded at all. Walls on our hall were bright green and cheery and the rooms were nicely organized. The bathroom was clean and nicely put together. The breakfast was a standard hampton inn breakfast, nothing too special but it was filling. The staff was quite nice and overall I would quickly stay again. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be close to Cincinnati without dealing with ridiculous traffic. read more

Very reasonable prices. Clean room. Good A/C, better than most of the hotels I've stayed in. Quiet. New mattresses AND fitted sheets on the mattresses! Really nice pillows, better than anywhere. Basic free buffet breakfast. Not home cooked tasting, but as good as any of its type. Make your own waffle, etc. Not a drawback for us, but since there was no restaurant in the hotel, dinner had to come from a local establishment. Very close by options were limited, but if you were willing to drive 4-6 miles, pretty much whatever you like could be had, including a highly rated Korean restaurant. We were too tired to care. Personally, I'll take a good hotel minus lots of food options rather than the other way around. We had business in Cincinnati, but ratings for hotels there were discouraging. This was only minutes from town over the bridge in KY. Very convenient, as good as staying in Cincinnati in our opinion. This hotel had very good ratings on Trip Adviser and IMO, well deserved. read more

Made a company paid reservation for an employee via telephone. Clerk emailed a credit card authorization form. Returned it via email and got a confirmation also via email. When employee checked in, they had "no record" of payment. Employee was forced to use a debit card which was a major inconvenience to employee. When I called to complain, the only reply I got was "don't know how that happened ". Not even an apology!! Won't be sending any employees to stay at Hampton anymore. read more

Our family stayed here as part of a wedding group (wedding was at Inn at Oneonta nearby). My husband and I were quite impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, but it was the staff that pushes this rating to a 5. From check-in to breakfast to housekeeping, all the employees smiled and gave us the feeling they genuinely cared about their guests. The ladies who managed the breakfast area were especially kind and fun. Kudos to the Manager who hired such a wonderful group of employees! The room was exceptionally clean, the bathrooms had all the amenities we needed and the pool and hot tub area were great. Also, the beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the Wilder area for an event. read more
