From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. I am home now and I wanted to take time to update my review. Soumo, Ms.Kawn, Bethany, Tierra, Jeannette, and Ayanne, Corona and Sam all helped to make our stay pleasurable. The front desk was so helpful everyday. Their kindness in greeting me every time I went by the desk on my scooter made me feel so special. The breakfast folks were fabulous. Nick was not the only one that helped me with a coffee and 2 apple juice to my table. Balancing that and food was too hard for me to do. They assisted me with a smile. Our room was well taken care of with attention to detail. It was so nice to walk into a clean room when I know I dashed out of the room leaving a mess...so I could make it to the sewing class. Housekeeping helped with that. Thank you for all you did to make our stay wonderful. Absolutely fantastic. We could not asked for a better welcome. Carrie R. welcomed us and went above and beyond expectations. She pushed a trolly to our car and helped us load it. She then took it to our room. I was using a walker. The added help was greatly appreciated. She found us a great room near the elevator. I'm so thrilled. Nick T. Helped us at breakfast. He carried my coffee and apple juice to the table. I forgot a napkin and he got that as well. He was so kind and willing to help. Such a fine gentleman. As we were leaving my roommate asked for 2 bananas. It was not on the buffet. He went into the kitchen and handed her the fruit. Above and beyond expectations We went out for dinner and we saw Nick at the front door of the restaurant. It was so nice he recognized us from this morning. This morning after breakfast I went to reregister for the remaining week until the 21. Our room was perfect so we decided to stay here in this room 532. Tierra really helped make The check so smooth. Thank you kindly. I appreciate her calling us when the scooters arrive. Her kindness is so sincere and real. We slept so well the next day we did not wake until after 10am. We missed breakfast but the rest was needed and the bed so comfortable. Day three we had a wake up call scheduled for morning. We set that up the night before. The computer voice that answered was able to do that without us having to interrupting the employees at the front desk. I really liked that ability. We were up and able to make it to breakfast today. Corina took my drink order and brought it to the table for me so I would not spill it. She is so pleasant and thoughtful. She asked us if we needed help to get and carry our meal. We did not ... but her taking the time to ask made all the difference. Overall a fantastic first impression and second and third. Keep up the great work. Your team has this. They work so well together and kind service seems to be a high priority for the whole staff. Come check this out for yourself. Willie n Bev

    My beautiful view!!! room 826

I stayed at the Embassy Suites for a couple of days and while they were under heavy remodeling and the atrium was completely covered in plastic and I was a bit disappointed at not being able to enjoy the beauty of it, the service I received was second to none. Upon check in, the receptionist Fawn, was easy to talk to, as well as very professional, knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and accommodating. She remained calm, cool, collected while in between all my questions as well as talking on the phone to others. She definitely put a smile on my face! Upon checkout I had just the sweetest receptionist check me out, and her name was Sidney. She was also in between phone calls while checking people out, but still had a huge genuine smile for everyone! My room was fresh, clean, and Completely Remodeled. I definitely appreciate what they're doing with the remodeling and it looks incredible, it was a pleasant surprise!!! I loved staying there even before it was remodeled, and now it's even better and I didn't even know it could! The breakfasts I had were nothing short of delicious, the Embassy Suites always have the best imo. The omelette bar had a large variety of meats and veggies and the quick serve items were hot and fresh. One day there was pancakes and the next day there was French toast, and the potato hash browns were especially delicious, crispy and salty. There were several cut up fruit & whole fruit options, as well as assorted bread items, yogurt, hot grits & oatmeal with toppings, and cold cereals. Lots of drink options, coffee, milk, juice bar, teas, cocoa, and soda bar. In the evening, there is a managers reception, where was an assortment of light snacks like chips n' salsa, veggies n' ranch, goldfish, and pretzels to munch on while enjoying the two free drinks you're allowed every night of your stay. Eddie Williams was the bartender on my first night and I can honestly say his professionalism, friendliness, and the way he constantly was moving around and making sure everyone was attended too was the best part of my stay. I could tell he really cared about the guests he was serving and would be constantly on the move serving drinks, running to serve food orders, cleaning up plates and cups, all while making everyone feel seen and heard. He asked several guests including myself where we're from and a little about ourselves, and as I was getting another drink, one of the guests who I don't know looked over at me and randomly said that Eddie is one of the great ones, I can definitely concur. He definitely goes above and beyond for ensuring guests have a great experience. The Embassy Suites really did themselves a favor by having Eddie on their team!!! Sadly the second night I was there, there was a female bartender and she kind of seemed like the guests were a tad bit of a bother, but I'm pretty sure she was new and in training, so typically new trainees are nervous. Overall, incredible room, food, and service!!! Highly recommend and cannot wait until the atrium is remodeled, if it's anything like my room, I will be extremely impressed!!!

    Really old TV's.

The main reason we come to this hotel is for the breakfast. They have a great assortment of hot and cold food every day, including made to order omelettes. There's also a free happy hour in the evening with snacks and drinks. The bad parts: Really dated room furniture and decor. It hasn't changed in the 10 years I've been coming here. Dated TV's.... seriously how can you not have smart tvs by now, the ones they have don't even have a channel guide option that worked. Also killed a roach in the bathroom one morning Overall experience was average, but they really need to invest in their hotel.

Clean and nice.. I assumed the floor was vacuumed it was clean.. I appreciate that

This was a enjoyable stay thr the Embassy suites hotel in Hampton next to the Convention center. The staff offered a easy as pie check in, I initially wanted another floor but settled in with our room. Our room has a fresh sent and clean feel. The bathroom, all surfaces were clean and dust, finger print food crumbs free. The hospitality room we visited with other guest was also clean when we arrived. Beds were just so so. Pillows were really comfy. The hotel was set up with holiday decor which made it inviting for my next day meeting instead of going to first Watch which was noisy. I will continue to recommend the Embassy in Hampton.

    Mold

Check in was smooth and staff was awesome! Disliked · There was multiple things I didn't like, where do I start. Bed was creaky, too sunken in, room never got warm because the temperature control did not work, lighting was horrible through our the room. The bathroom was the worst, mold around the tub and sink, dust buildup in the vent, toilet seat had chips making it look like there stains and just not well kept. Stains on the curtains, OMG! This hotel is so old there was chipping paint and holes in the wall. I will never stay in this hotel again. And BTW, I truly believe that a bellman should not have key access to guestrooms, totally unacceptable.

Where to start? When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was not friendly, actually kinda rude. She said, can I help you and looked puzzled. I said, im here to check in and she said, you a little early, come back at 4. I explained that I spoke to staff before arriving to confirm that my room was ready- it was about 2pm. She said, i dont know about that and checked on my room. She explained that i was checked in already and provided me my keys. I asked about breakfast, afternoon social, pool, etc. she provided me a paper with some of the info but did not explain. We went to our room and it was already in subpar shape; The soap/shampoo dispensers were empty and the body wash was off the wall. We only had two sets of towels in the room and specifically asked for 4. We called down and they said it would be brought up. After several hours, we called again and the staff physically brought the towels to us because house keeping was not responding. I forgot to ask for soap but figured they would fill the next day. We went to the pool and it was dirty, merky, cloudy, and just disgusting. I advised staff and they said they would check it out. They did not. My kids were upset but we didnt use the pool that night. Next day, we went to Busch Gardens- which was great. When we returned, house keeping never came. I called for towels and the man brought us dirty towels! They smelled sooo bad. We put them outside our room and used our towels from the night before and used the soap we purchased. The kids wanted to use the pool, and once again it was disgusting and not able to be used. Day three, we went to the beach and returned around 2 pm to no house keeping. I called down about the issues and they said the request for housekeeping needs to be requested before noon. So no soap, trash removal, etc. i asked about the pool and they said it was fixed and ready to be used. We went down and it was worse than the past days. I took photos each day we were there. Unbelievable. The breakfast was decent but they could not keep up with the crowds. The afternoon social was goldfish snack and salad, nothing special. The drinks were decent though. The male bartender was aces. Overall, the hotel smelled like weed, our room was next to renovations being done- so the smell of paint was strong, house keeping was non existing, staff could not keep up, parking was a nightmare because of events at the coliseum and we paid per day for parking, and the pool was unable to be used.

Stayed for three nights while traveling for work. Room had mold on window curtains, shower curtains, and shower. Floor had stains, there were stains on bedsheets. As I was cleaning up my space to leave, found a GERMAN COCKROACH NYMPH. Told front desk when I was leaving, but because I already checked out could only give me points to my account. Even though when I checked out the woman was on the phone and talking through a pager, so I couldn't exactly tell about the roach. Wasn't going to complain about the mold and such but a cockroach is too much. Fingers crossed I don't bring any hitchhikers home. Only stayed here because other local options at acceptable rates for my job were unavailable. Perhaps instead of offering a free happy hour to guests every night, address roach infestations and mold issues, both of which can negatively impact the health of guests!!! Edit: oh and the living room tv didn't work. so that was annoying. It was plugged in but plug seemed wobbly, light wasn't on under tv so it wasn't a remote issue.

This is a incredible hotel, in a great location! Are there issues booking sometimes? Yes. Are there times a hotel is not supposed to bill your credit card but another, and that happens? Yes. At first I was really annoyed, no room and also later a charge. Employee Tory took care of business, resolving this situation on the spot, and I hope the business sees this. He's a phenomenal employee, and watching his interactions with other guests, he has the right stuff. The atrium is amazing. Admittedly I have a slight issue with heights, but was fine up on the 8th floor. The glass window elevators eventually became appreciated. As for the room immaculate. Very clean, two televisions, a great shower, and comfortable all the way around. This is right next to Hampton Convenient Center and the Coliseum. If you're in the area, by all means go here!

There is a newly constructed walkway that cuts the trip time. The bar has specials throughout the week and there is a brewery right across the walkway. Service throughout the hotel was great, the front desk, bar, cleaning staff. There was usually water out in the lobby, which was nice. At times the trash overflowed or the ice wasn't replenished. But also there was one time when there was citrus water, cucumber water and lemonade out for guests, all at once. I thought that was very thoughtful. I overheard the staff interacting very positively with each other, thanking one another for their help/support. That was great to see. Our room was clean and spacious. AC definitely worked (which I loved, hubs not so much.) Nice big windows and the curtains blocked out most of the light, just not along the top of the windows. No flashing smoke detector, which is a peeve of mine. Speaking of peeves, the bathroom is beautiful. However, I hate that these hotels have taken on these barn doors. I would like to simply close and secure my door. This was worse bc it was a double door, loud and clunky. This led to unnecessary noise at night. Often times, I'd slide the 2 doors together, turn around and one would slide right back open. And no matter what I did, the doors wouldn't close all the way. I included a photo. Moving on, the shower was huge with a double shower head AND a closing shower door. However, the water pressure was very poor. Same goes for the toilet. It would, at times, take several flushes to clear the toilet. TMI, but hey... You've read this far. Lastly, the towels leave little white fibers behind which was a nuisance as well. Overall, the things I mentioned were annoying... But wouldn't keep me from coming back. At least I know what I'm in for next time.

Pros: * beautiful space -- the lobby is well appointed, contemporary, and bright; the rooms, while identical, also have an elegant, modern feel to them * the floor to ceiling bay windows make even a street-facing room feel elevated * Great location with a beautiful water view * friendly, helpful staff Cons: * the upkeep is poor -- throughout the hotel, you can see significant signs of wear and tear (peeling paint, torn or stained bedsheets, etc.); daily room cleaning may not refill used coffee, bath towels; * more significant than everyday upkeeps are the major broken infrastructures: only one out of three elevator is working, and it is extremely slow. Despite this hiccup, the hotel insists that everyone take the elevator rather than using the stairs (reserved for fire emergency only); the pool seems to be out-of-service this season as well. * some design flaws -- the bathroom's double barn doors seem like a particularly poor choice -- functionally, they're bad at keeping privacy because there is often a gap right in the middle unless you close the doors super carefully; aesthetically, they will seem outdated before long. Every room has a spacious "mudroom"-like entry -- this seems like a waste of space. The rooms do not have any sort of desk space -- the cabinet is too high, the night stand is too low. * bad water pressure and poor water temperature control * very loud AC (if it's working at all -- when we arrived, it was blowing warm air, but the front desk was able to send a maintenance guy to come fix it for us). * no in-hotel coin-op laundry * no breakfast (as compared to Hilton's Hampton Inn line) Mediocre: * The restaurant is fine. The front desk assistant was less than helpful and uninterested in my current state and there was no sense of urgency in assisting. We left and returned at 4p for check in and were met with a long line of customers attempting the check in, but rooms still weren't ready and the front desk staff couldn't be bothered to try and accommodate. A customer and a member of staff began quarreling over the lack of respect the staff was showing and the manager had to get involved. We then checked in and were placed at the top floor as the manager wanted to accommodate my pregnancy and rest with less noise and traffic, which I greatly appreciated. The room was sufficient in providing a kitchenette area, a desk, drawers, closet, and a comfy bed. The bathroom had no ventilation, making showering a very humid and gross. I did appreciate the cleaning staff as they were all friendly and quick to assist with anything needed. Also, the laundry and dryer services are featured as a commodity of your stay, so that was also nice to expedite laundry. There was a beautiful lake in the back of the hotel and a little duck family that was terribly friendly and cute. The rates for this hotel would lead you to think the accommodations would match but that is false. We stayed at this location for three weeks and cut our visit short due to glaring issues. Specially, mold in the HVAC located in the room from a dirty filter that clearly hadn't been serviced in quite some time. When brought to the staffs attention, they stated after each visit, the filters are serviced. However, they couldn't deny the truth once confronted with the filter. This situation landed our toddler in the hospital since the mold in the air inflamed his respiratory system. The other issues we had are: Room Service ONLY ONCE a week- When paying $100 a night for an extended stay, this is unacceptable. They are already charging a pet fee and the cleaning they offer is subpar. We requested to borrow a mop and vacuum to do it ourselves since they don't offer ones in the rooms. The vacuum didn't work which questions what type of cleaning they actually do. We brought this up a copious amount of times and it was left unresolved by the management. Room accommodations are subpar- For the $100 rate, you get a studio and no where for an infant or toddler to sleep. On a positive note, the staff was friendly for the most part. The laundry room was spacious which is much needed. Overall, a poor experience at this hotel and would not recommend to any families looking at this location as an extended stay.
